Doug and his crew appear to have turned the corner with regard to the golf course conditioning and the Missouri River has returned to a more friendly coex- istence with our facilities. Management and staff have successfully navigated the Member Invitational, Dunes Cup and the numerous outings, weddings and sundry summer activities. Membership and activity around the Club, both on the course and around the clubhouse, are approaching all-time highs. We now have a little over a month experience with the expansion of the clubhouse facilities onto the Terrace. It would be my desire to say that all has gone smoothly, but that has not been the case. We are experiencing “growing pains” resulting in a level of dissatisfaction among members regarding the service levels on the Terrace and around the clubhouse. Be assured that management, staff and your Board of Managers are very aware and share your concerns. Constructive communication and a focused action plan to improve service levels is the immediate need and focus. Input is valued and necessary. Be considerate. The management and the staff do have the member concerns in mind. How dissatisfaction is relayed can and often does make matters worse. The BOM is committed to working with manage- ment and the staff to correct the situation regarding “service levels”. I am hesitant to use the word patience because the membership has been nothing but through the myriad of issues the Club has faced since the events of 2011. I have all conϐidence that this too shall pass. We have a solid team in place with a common goal and a track record of dealing with issues which have resulted in a stronger Club. The proof will be in the results. Enough said. Be sure to review the newsletter for details of the late summer and fall activities that the staff is preparing for you. There’s always some- thing going on. Fall golf is always exceptional at Dakota Dunes. Enjoy the course and all the pro shop have planned. See you at the Club! —Ron Bond, Club President
