“The Ten Pin Bowling Challenge” Well!, after a wonderful ‘Sunday Lunch’ (and celebrations), sixteen ‘Diehards’ (with full tummy’s) made their way to the to the battlefield – Canning-ton Bowls. The venue was buzzing and the combatants were eager to do battle. With shoes and balls selected the ‘War Cries’ began - I think some shoes were too tight and balls too heavy, Ahhhhh!! The first balls started down the lanes, some with silky smooth releases, others with thumps and bumps. No ‘Strikes’ were forthcoming, not until the second

volley of balls crashed into the pins. Dennis Arklie and Brad Green were the first to “Strike” in the second frame. Well, the battle had indeed begun and all were courageous in their attempts to annihilate those pins. Our thanks to the small ‘Cheer Squad’ that came to support our efforts, we appreciated your efforts. By the end of the two games there were ‘60’ spares and ‘34’ strikes taken, well done all. The ‘Champions’ of the day were all who took part in the fun, thank you!

Congratulations to 1st place winner, Michael Chowdhurie; 2nd place, Philip De Mello; 3rd place, Brad Green and our top female ( and also 4th), Joan Arklie.

Many thanks to Margaret Chowdhurie for putting it all together for us.

Thanks to all, see you at the next campaign. Regards, Graeme...
