The fitness tracking industry is built on the pedometer, a 227 year old technology for counting steps that cannot adapt to the upcoming wave of wearable devices.

The Fitness Tracking Problem

SensiSole does more than count footsteps. It records distribution maps and foot-strike patterns, measures weight, and more. It is the full picture fitness tracker.

The Solution

A network of force sensors is embedded into the paper-thin insole. They track weight under each of the pressure points on the bottom of your feet and stream it wirelessly to your phone. The app then displays your pressure maps, analyzes your steps, and more.

SensiSole gives feedback on activities that a pedometer cannot. It can notify you when your jogging becomes fatigued or critique your golf swing.

Fitness Applications

Beyond Fitness

Fitness is just one of many applications for the SensiSole. We plan to create an open source API so developers can dream up their own apps using this new stream of information. Patients will show their doctors the progress they have made recovering from an injury. Gamers will have pedals built into their shoes. Travelers will weigh their suitcases on the go. The possibilities are endless.

Financial Goal

Our goal for the next 4 months is to finish the beta version and get it into the hands of users. This will help us get to our next round of funding. We need $5000 to continue developing the sensors and to shrink the Bluetooth transmitter.
