POSITION NUMBER: IM09216Responsibilities: Determine project scope Concept planning Preliminary budgets Detail planning Master planning Planning of project management Minimum requirements: A four-year degree in Town Planning or Architecture A formal project-management qualification in a planning environment, at least NQF6 Three years project-management experience in the planning of physical infrastructure Three years experience in a construction environment One years involvement in the master development planning of estates One years experience in liaison with clients in order to formalise a project scope Other competency requirements: The ability to coordinate cost estimates for potential infrastructure developments Advanced knowledge of infrastructure-planning processes and tender processes The ability to prepare project schedules with measurable intermediate goals The ability to apply project-management principles during the planning cycle The ability to function within a team environment Advanced written and oral communication skills The ability to work independently without supervision Advances computer literacy in MS Excel, computer literacy in MS Word, Groupwise Demonstration of language proficiency in order to function optimally in the various multilingual environments of the NWU
