2012 Begins...Monday 30 January, is the first day for all students to commence.
First Day ArrangementsNew students are to assemble outside the Administration Office at 8:20am inorder to attend an Orientation Session prior to Assembly.
Senior School students will also attend an Assembly prior to thecommencement of the day and will be required to be at School by 8:30am.
School HoursJunior School: 8:50am to 3:00pmSenior School: 8:30am to 3:15pmOffice: 8:10am to 4:00pm (during Term time)
The office will be closed from Monday, 17 December to Friday, 13 January, 2012. Office Hours during holiday opening times are 9:00am to 3:00pm.
The office will be closed from 23 to 24 January, due to a staff conference for Professional Development.

Bus TravelNSW Residents (Surfside Buses)Surfside Buslines provides services to the School. Dependent upon the distance in which you reside from the school your child may be eligible for free bus travel to and from School on Surfside Buses. Please collect Surfside Bus Application Forms from the office.
Queensland ResidentsStudents who reside in Queensland may choose to use the Pacific Coast Bus service. Please enquire at the office for details regarding the bus route and timetable.
CampsSenior School Camps will be held from 8 to 10 February at both Hosanna Farmstay, Stokers Siding and Binna Burra Lodge, Binna Burra.
Camps are included in the School Fees and are compulsory school activities.
Late Arrivals and Early DeparturesStudents are required to sign in at the office should they arrive after 8:30am (Senior School) or 8:50am (Junior School). A late slip will be provided and this must be presented to the Class or Pastoral Care teacher.

Parents wishing to collect their students prior to 3:00pm (Junior School) or 3:15pm (Senior School), please sign your child/ren out at the office.
School AbsencesIf your child is absent from school, please submit in writing to the office an explanation of their absence by email to [email protected] or a note to their classroom or pastoral care teacher.
School FeesSchool Fees are invoiced over four terms. All accounts are payable by the end of the first week of term. Alternatively you can request to enter a formal written instalment plan, please ask to speak with our Finance Officer for more details. School Fee schedule is included in this booklet.
Direct Deposits can be made to NAB, BSB: 082 167, Account No. 17 346 7872 to Pacific Coast Christian School. Please include your family name including initials as the reference for deposit. Centrepay forms are available from the office.
Stationery Student stationery requirements for subjects and year levels are included in this booklet, please refer to the appropriate section to purchase for your child/ren’s school stationery needs for 2012.
Swimming CarnivalThe Senior School Swimming Carnival will be held on 14 February, at Banora Oasis Pools.
UniformsPlease be encouraged to buy your 2012 uniform needs during Term 4, 2011. The uniform shop will be open for existing parents on 27 January, 2012 from 8:30am to 12:30pm Should your child/ren have a big growth spurt over the holiday period, uniforms can be exchanged on this day if tags are attached and original package in tact. Please phone the Uniform Shop on 07 5523 9101 with any enquiries or to make an appointment.

Conditions and Notes1. Tuition fee includes excursions, camps and bus travel for Queensland residents.2. Tuition fees are invoiced over four terms. Accounts are payable in full by the end of the first
week of term. Alternatively you can request to enter into a formal written instalment plan with the school.
3. Tuition fees do not include the following: mission trips, extra-curricular activities, uniforms, stationery items, calculators, USB sticks, Bible, major works, workbooks, textbooks, ICAS competition fees, First Aid Course fees, representative sport costs, etc are expected to be covered by families.
4. Tax Deductible Donations to the School’s Building or Library Fund are invited and appreciated.5. Receipts will be issued for cash, debit/credit card and cheque payments. School receipts are
not normally issued for other methods of payment (internet banking, Centrepay and direct debits).
6. An administration fee of $33.00 (incl GST) per month will be charged on overdue accounts unless a formal written instalment plan with the school is in place.
7. An dishonour fee of $33.00 (incl GST) will be charged to your account per dishonoured payment.8. The replacement cost of damaged or unreturned library books or other school resources will be
charged to your account.9. In the event that fees are not paid and legal proceedings are deemed necessary by the school
to recover outstanding fees, all recovery costs incurred will be charged to your account.10. If a student is withdrawn from the school, one term’s written notice to the Principal is required.
Failure to provide a full term’s notice will result in $250 being charged (per student) in-lieu of notice.
11. The school normally gives a term’s notice for any tuition fee variations, but reserves the right to alter these fees and other charges without prior notice, and to charge additional fees not listed in this schedule on rare occasions.

2012 Student Uniform
BACKPACK -‐ The navy School Backpack is compulsory for all students.
HATS -‐ The wearing of the school hat is compulsory for all students for all outdoor activities including before and after school, recess and lunch. No hat to be worn other than those available from the uniform shop.
HOSIERY -‐ Girls may wear plain black or navy stockings or tights in Winter under the Formal Uniform only. Fishnet and patterned stockings are not acceptable.
SHOES -‐ Formal -‐ Black lace-‐up leather or vinyl school shoes (ballet or skate shoes or similar are not permitted). Velcro black shoes are allowed for PREP to Year 2.
SPORTS – White joggers (lace-‐up only) with thick soles (black or coloured joggers, and coloured laces are not permitted). Velcro white shoes are allowed for PREP to Year 2.
SKIRTS -‐ Girls skirts are to be worn at knee length and not above.
SOCKS – Formal Boys are to wear the long navy school socks with the formal uniform (socks of any other kind are not permitted).
Girls are to wear the short Pacific Coast socks with the formal uniform (socks of any other kind are not permitted).
Sports -‐ Boys and Girls are expected to wear the Pacific Coast sports socks (socks of any other kind are not permitted).
SPORTS BAGS – The school duffle bag is for carrying sports and excursion gear only and is not to be used in place of the school backpack.
SPORTS DAYS & EVENTS – Students are to wear either full school PE uniform or full school uniform for sports days and events. Students may bring a t-‐shirt in the appropriate house colour to wear at the sporting venue.
SUNGLASSES-‐ Students may wear black sunglasses whilst outside to protect their eyes. Physical Education classes may not accept the wearing of glasses if they are not securely attached to the head.
SWIMWEAR -‐ When representing the School, navy swimwear is preferable and the school rash shirt must be worn. During swimming lessons the style of swimwear is up to the parents prerogative provided they are covered by a rash shirt.
TRACKSUITS – Tracksuits can only be worn Sport and PE days.
UNDERSHIRTS – Should be white or neutral in colour and not display any images.
WINTER UNIFORM – (during Term 2 and 3 only) Students from Years 5 to 12 are required to wear the school tie with the formal uniform. Junior School girls (Prep to Year 4 inclusive) have the option of wearing the Tartan school slacks with their formal white blouse. Male students (Prep – Year 12) may wear the navy school trousers instead of the school shorts, with the formal white shirt. Both boys and girls are permitted to wear navy scarves and navy gloves if they wish. School jumpers and/or jackets are to be worn.

Parents are asked to supply all stationery needs for students, including exercise books. Please refer to the Year Level Stationery Lists are provided in this booklet for stationery needs for your students.

Students will travel to camp via School Bus and leave at 8:40am on Wednesday 8 February and return 2:30pm on Friday, 10 February, 2012.

Excursions | Activities | Incursions Excursions and activities are a compulsory part of school, as they are inte-grated with the School curriculum.
The cost of excursions are included in the School’s tuition fees, except in the case of mission trips.
From 2012, we will no longer seek permission for individual excursions for students to attend events, except in the case of camps and mission trips.
All excursions and activities will still be widely advertised with parents through the School Parents’ Page, website, school blog and notes to parents, to keep you informed.
