The National Seminar on Recent Trends in Computer Science
and Engineering will be held at Parala Maharaja Engineering
College,Berhampur on 19th -20th , January, 2017 with the
following broad objectives.
• To promote education, research and training in emerging
and recent trends in Copmpter Science and Enigeering like
Internet of things, sensor networks, Complex Networks,
Image Processing, Cloud Computing, Ad-hoc Network and
their applications for the advancement of knowledge and
betterment of the society.
• To improve the quality of technical education, research and
training in diversified areas.
• To provide facilities and opportunities to inspire graduate,
post-graduate, Ph. D. scholars and faculty members for
collaborative research works.

Parala Maharaja Engineering College (P.M.E.C),
Berhampur came into existence in the year 2009 as a
constituent college of Biju Pattnaik University of
Technology (BPUT),Odisha.This college is one of the
premier technical institute in the state and is funded
by the government of Odisha. The main objective of
the institution is to produce quality technocrats in
various streams . Government of Odisha has
recognized this institution as a leading institution of
repute and has a plan to develop it as a centre of
excellence under plan funding.

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering since
its introduction in 2009 has taken several steps towards
development and come a long way in establishing itself a
department which commands both respect and importance.
It is equipped with sophisticated laboratories and well
qualified faculties who are not only technically skilled but
also professionally competent. Faculty members have
obtained recognition through publication at the national and
international level .
