A Word to Consider

April 1, April Fool’s Day…This is the day that should be dedicated to all athe-

ists. Psalm 14:1a (and 53:1) “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no

God…” However, this year April 1 is Easter Sunday and we (Christians) will

again celebrate and proclaim! Mark 16:6 “And he saith unto them, Be not

affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: He is risen; He is

not here…” Let us sing it, share it, proclaim it that Jesus is risen! To God be

the glory! Ask your pastor how you can help follow-up with the Easter

guests.

June 25 – July 1 is our return mission trip to Young Harris, Georgia. We will

help a small struggling church with maintenance on the building, outreach to

the community and encouragement to the saints. We must have commit-

ments ASAP! Call or email us if you plan to go.

July 9-16 is our planned mission trip to the Dominican Republic. Our Associa-

tional Hispanic Missionary John Gunter is leading this trip. Again, we must

have commitments ASAP! Please call or email us, or John Gunter at jdgun-

[email protected] for details.

Our Disaster Relief Team is taking shape. Training is being planned and we

need to know what area you are interested in. Our co-directors are Bruce

Andrews and Lee Childers. Call or email us!

We have begun opening the Ministry Center Store on Fridays. We certainly

could use around 20 more volunteers. Any hours, any day. Call or email us!

We need a WMU Director to serve on our association leadership team. We

are looking for someone to be Music Leader on our VBS Team. Call or email

us!

It is a joy (albeit still learning!) to serve our Lord through DBA! Robin and I

pray for each of you and ask our Lord to continue to bless each one as you

continue to serve HIM! Call or email me if I can help. NO April Fool’s joke

here!

Because of Jesus,

Love,

Bro. Jim & Mrs. Robin

DBA Missions Development News…

Matthew 5:16 says “In the same way, let your light shine before men so

they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in Heaven.”

As an Association we have several opportunities to do just that. We

would like you to prayerfully consider asking God how He wants to shine

though you. It might be here in the county, state, the U.S., or even going

to a foreign country, but God wants us all to use the time, resources, and

talents that He has blessed us with.

Also, if there is a project or place God has laid on your heart or ideas

where we can fulfill the Great Commission, please let us know.

Thank you,

Bo DeLoney

DBA Mission Team Director
