Heavy duty single cartridge sealThe heavy duty single spring design of tbe Style 35seal allows it to operate in applications that tend todog multiple spring seals. These include slurries ofall kinds, industrial waste water and municipal treat-ment plants.

Style 35FS (Fluid Saver) - this unique seal utilizes aP/S-I lip seal as an excluder. The P/S-I fits into thebore of tbe stuffing box and rides on a replacementstub sleeve. The result is a seal combination thatoperate in slurries with a minimum of flush water.

Ceramic . . .has two advantages that make it themost commonly used seat material.It is nearly chemically inert andcosts substantially less than othermaterials. Ceramic performs well inmany applications. Other materialsshould be considered for thermallyvariable service such as hydro-carbon process applications orwhere elevated temperatures tend tovaporize media.

Tungsten Carbide . . .recommended for those hydro-carbon process applicationsdestnxtive to ceramic materials.With good thermal shock prop-erties, tungsten carbide alsotransmits heat well, minimizingmedia vaporization at seal faces. Ahard, strong, metallic material, iteasily withstands abrasive service.

O-Ring and cup mounted seats aredesigned to be press-fitted into amachined counterbore in the gland.Before installing, the O-Ring orcup should be lubricated.
