With over 45 years experience from the offshore Oil & Gas Drilling Industry, Mr. Tollefsen has gained wide, yet in-depth and ‘hands-on’ knowledge of all aspects and levels of Drilling Operations & Rig Management, including extensive deepwater drilling experience from Drillships and Semisubmersibles in the North Sea, Brazil, India and the Atlantic Ocean.
He has worked in all positions, on-and-offshore, from Roustabout to Driller, Toolpusher, Senior Drilling Supervisor, Rig Manager, Marketing Manager, Operations Director, General Manager, Vice President and Managing Director of major Drilling Contractors and Oil Companies. He has also been involved in building, refurbishing and technical inspections & valuations of several land rigs and offshore rigs plus, Integrated Services Contracts and Turnkey Drilling. Knowing oilfield equipment and operations in detail is very important but equally important is the network of people and contacts he has accumulated worldwide over the years.
