1. 1. S COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT SEDA NUR GUNES
2. 2. Lets find out the project.. S Community Service means voluntary work intended to help people in a particular area. So, my project is about teaching English and being helpful to one of the visually impaired high school student.
3. 3. Her name is Duygu and she is from Gaziantep, TURKEY. She is 15 years old and high school student. This is her first year in school. She has got three sisters and Duygu is the third one. Unfourtunately, her younger sister Sena is also visually impaired girl.
4. 4. AIM This projects aims are; S Motivation, S Being helpful, S Supporting psychologically S Friendship S Education and sharing the values.
5. 5. TARGET S At the end of the project, Im expecting good grades in English from Duygu. Also, I want her to have knowledge about English language. She is going to know a lot of words and learned vocabulary will take a huge place in her mind. She will make great sentences by her own.
6. 6. ACTIVITY S Duygus mother is so busy housewife because she spends all the time with her children. She is going to school and coming home together with the girls. Because of having sight problem girls can not go out alone. Therefore, I gave my word to Duygu and her mother. In spring, I will take Duygu from her home and we will go to the city center. This is the my projects activity. Even though it is only one day, it means a lot for her parents but the most importantly the parents believe in me.
7. 7. PROBLEMS S First of all, Duygus parents are not educated people and they cant help their children when they are studying. Especially, they havent any knowledge about English language. S Other problem is, Duygu is learning english but she cant practice with the one who knows english language. S Also, her English teacher is not enough for her because she needs more attention.
8. 8. FEEDBACK S Her parents are pleased with Duygus condition and she is studying very well. S For the time being, everything is going fine!
