COOKIE SALE
Saint John's Altar Society is holding a cookie sale after Masses this weekend. We are selling tins of homemade cookies for $5. Stop by the hall after Masses on Saturday and Sunday.

Parishioners who own a business are welcome to submit their business information to us. We will advertise the business in the Parish Home Messenger as space permits. Send your business information: (business name, owner, address, phone number, and Web site ad-dress) to [email protected].
TRAIL LIFE: The next meeting is December 9 at 7 p.m. in McLaughlin Hall. This is the last meeting before Christmas.
Daily Mass Changes
Beginning January 1, 2015, the daily Mass schedule will change to accommodate Masses at each church while considering Holy Days and holiday times.
Tuesday, 6 p.m. at St. John’s
Wednesday, 6 p.m. at St. Joseph’s
Thursday, 6 p.m. at St. John’s
Friday, 6 p.m. at St. Joseph’s
Weekday Mass on a national holiday will start at 9 a.m. Weekday Mass on a Holy Day of Obligation will start at 6 p.m.
Mass on Thursday, January 1 (a national holiday) will be held at 9 a.m. at St. John’s.
If you have a concern about the change, please call the office, 482-3190.
St. John’s Altar Society could use help decorating the church for Christmas. Donations for Christmas flowers can be made at the Parish office or placed in the offering basket. Please marked your donation "Christmas Flowers." See Cathy Carter to volunteer to decorate the church.
GIVING TREE: A Christmas Giving Tree w ill be
made available at St. Joseph’s and St. John’s.
Any family in need may submit names to Sadie Haw-
kins so that we can have gifts for the children. Names
for the Giving Tree need to be returned as soon
as possible so that there is time to purchase
gifts. Forms are available to gather children ’s
names, along with their age, size, wants, and needs.

FEED THE HUNGRY: Please help us sow the light
of Jesus. We are making Christmas stockings for Feed
the Hungry. Items needed for men, women, and
children include gloves, socks, toothbrushes, tooth-
paste, floss, combs, brushes, bar soap, body wash,
shampoo, nail clippers, nail files, deodorant, razors,
hand sanitizer,
Q-tips, individually wrapped Wet Ones, Band-Aids,
individually wrapped snack items, candies, hot cocoa,
coffee creamer, sugar, granola bars. Boxes will be in
each church to accept your donations until
December 21.
ST. JOHN’S FOOD BOWL: A box has been placed
in the back of St. John's for the annual Food Bowl.
St. John’s food donations will be combined and
weighed with all of the food collected during the Food
Bowl before it is given to the Food Bank on December
16.
St. Joseph’s Altar Society
The St. Joseph's Altar Society will meet after the 8 a.m. Mass an Sunday, December 14th. All ladies are invited to attend. We need to finalize plans for the Christmas bake sale the following weekend. Thank you to all the ladies that helped to make the bazaar so successful!! The sandwiches, soups and pies were delicious and enjoyed by all.
Pilgrimage to Fatima and Lourdes
April 14-28, 2015 $3,990.00 per person through JML Pilgrimages
Join Fr. Michael Wagner on this spiritual journey
that begins in Fatima, Portugal through Spain to
Lourdes, France and ends in Barcelona, Spain.
Visit, pray and learn about many saints at
significant spiritual places along the way. Call

There will be a meeting on Sunday, December 14
at 3 p.m. at St. Joseph's. Anyone interested
in going on the pilgrimage should plan to attend
this meeting. Please come with your questions.
New information about the trip will be shared. A
meal will also be served!
Fiesta of Our Lady of Guadalupe
December 11 and 12
Everyone from St. John's and St. Joseph's is
invited to the celebration for Our Lady of
Guadalupe.
The celebration starts on December 11 at 9 p.m.
with the Rosary and a dance presentation by the
children of our parish. Pozole and tamales will be
available for purchase.
On December 12 the celebration starts at 4 p.m.
with Mass, a Rosary, and the dance presentation
by the children. Tamales, pozole, ponche, coffee
and soda will be available for purchase.
All proceeds from the food sales will go to
St. Joseph’s.
Donations Needed: Plastic spoons, bowls, paper
plates, and pork meat. Call Raquel at 249-2949
or Sylvia at 482-4711. Orders will be taken for
take home.
All Parish Posada
The Posada commemorates Mary and Joseph's difficult
journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem in search of a
place for the Christ Child to be born.
The Posada starts on December 16 and runs each night
until December 24 when it concludes at Midnight Mass
at St. Joseph’s.
The Posada will be held in the basement gathering
space at St. Joseph’s starting at 7 p.m. each night.
The Posada includes a procession, Rosary, songs and
refreshments.
A signup sheet for refreshments will be available. We
are looking for three families to provide refreshments
for each night and/or hosting the statue of Mary and
Joseph.
