v. Treatment

In the future there is a co-existence of two Earths. Earth 2 is an improved copy of Earth 1 which is starting to

become abandoned. Earth 2 is where the rich and high-class people want to live but with a high price, being con-

trolled. In order for people to stay on Earth 2 they must live a ´perfect´ life which involves having a lifelong partner.

NUKA and OTTO were dedicated to each other by the authority but OTTO has been sent to Earth 1 as punishment

(unknown crime at this point). NUKA aims to return OTTO back to their planet before her red light (on the back of

her head) turns off, therefore travels to Earth 1.

NUKA arrives in search of OTTO. She explores this imperfect planet, starting in the desolate city. During her search

NUKA discovers that Earth 1 is very different to her planet: there are plenty of lonely, working class people, it’s noisy,

in construction and polluted. Nuka is lost in this network; it feels like a labyrinth to her. It is full of unusual new sensa-

tions, full of mixed signals that seem to belong to a well-learnt code…

In a pedestrian crossing, Nuka reads on the floor ‘look left’. She obeys this order and stands there for half an hour

while other passersby cross the traffic lights as she stands still, looking left. Eventually she realises it is not the pur-

pose of the signal and decides to follow what others do.

From visiting an Art Café she discovers that OTTO is living in the countryside. As she arrives to his home her red light

is getting stronger. When she finally finds OTTO he tells her that he is not coming back with her to Earth 2. NUKA is

distraught from this statement, after begging she storms off.

In an attempt to return to her planet she discovers that she needs OTTO, she cannot return if she is not with him.

This distresses her and she starts to feel depressing and aggressive feelings, emotions she has never felt before.

She returns to OTTO´s. This time she allows him to explain why he came to Earth and why he wants to stay. OTTO

shows her the beautiful landscape that he lives in and the marvellous imperfections of this world. They both begin to

live a different life, which is abruptly disrupted.

NUKA

NUKA is the lifelong partner of Otto. She grew up on Earth 2 without any troubles, a perfect life. One day, Otto was sent to Earth 1 as punishment. Nuka works hard to bring Otto back. She decides to go to Earth 1 in search of OTTO.

She explores this imperfect planet, starting in the desolate city. It is full of unusual new sensations. First she is really confident of her mission and what she wants. She thinks her ‘perfect Earth 2’ is ten times better and hates everything about Earth 1.

As the story follows, she finds herself enchanted by human emotions and pleasures (not perfect behaviours). She has to learn all these new behaviours and feelings.

18-27 Serious (not sweet) but with a nice smile. Androgynous.

OTTO

OTTO is the lifelong partner of Nuka. He grew up on Earth 2 without questioning anything. One day, Otto was sent to Earth 1 as punishment. When he arrives to ‘this original and unperfect world’ he realises that it enables a better life for someone who can have choices therefore he decides to stay because he can be free.

When Nuka returns on her search for him he doesn´t want to return. He misses Nuka but he knows that thier relationship is not true love.She only wants him in order to have an established life. As the story develops, he finds the human inside her.

23-35 years. Serious and handsome, with beard and interesting face. A strong-looking man.
