Data integration options

Data fl ows between SAP and Tableau can be enabled in diff erent ways depending on the desired architecture and how it fi ts into an existing customer landscape.

» Create and update an arbitrary data warehouse (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, etc.), combine SAP data with data from other systems und use Tableau on top of it.

» Directly stream data between SAP and Tableau which does not require any intermediate storage. The data is transported through the standard OData protocol.

» Create so-called TDE data fi les, a format developed by Tableau that contains highly compressed data which can be directly consumed by the Tableau engine.
