Workshop SEA EduNet 2.0

It is very pleasured that SEAMOLEC Staff Mr.Prayitno and SMKN 3 Ogan Komering Ulu, SouthSumatra have opportunity to visit Steve Jobs

School in Breda, Netherlands. There are 11 SteveJobs School in Netherlands. This school is a newschool that starts in 2013, even though this schoolis new but a lot of school would like to have studyvisit to this school to know how they do the teachingand learning process. We have opportunity to visitSteve Jobs School at September 19, 2013 at Breda,Netherlands.

SEAMOLEC staff and Teacher from SMKN 3 Okucould learn and discuss about the system around1 hour. We talk a lot about the teacher, how theyconduct the teaching and learning. Below severalpoints that we sum from the observation:

1. Steve Jobs School is a new system teaching andlearning, start at 2013.

2. One of teaching and learning process is onestudent have their own Project based learningon the real world project and what they would

like to learn, they have 6 weeks to discuss withthe teacher and show to their parents.

3. At the students PBL, teacher is guidance and aparent is a supervisor. So the student PBL mustdiscuss between their parent and teacher.

4. Each student have website portfolio to show theprocess and result from their own PBL.

5. Each student has his/her own devices, such asiPad and Mac Book.

6. Not every day the students must come to school, they can learn in school and in their home.

This Steve Job Innovation on formal education inNetherlands is inspiring SEAMOLEC to propose anew educational model of school by integrating amultiplatform full/blended ICT into education forSoutheast Asian Countries. Educational resourceswill be available 24 hours and 7 days a week, thusSEAMOLEC School Model could provide studentsmore personalized learning experience and encourageto potentially replace traditional learning method.
