Welcome to the most respected dive operation and the most returned-to dive resort in the world. Situated on Roatan’s south shore, Coco View Resort is perched on the edge of the world’s second largest coral reef. Coco View has spectacular and convenient diving. Take a short ride on one of their custom dive boats to Roatan’s best dive sites, or explore the pristine coral walls and 140’ wreck in their famous “Front Yard” - only a few fin kicks from your room! At Coco View Resort, you can dive and snorkel to your heart’s content, 24/7! Shore diving is available whenever you desire! Grab a tank & go!
And when you are not in the water, enjoy delicious meals and tasty tropical drinks in the Clubhouse. Be entertained by talented local musicians and dancers. Learn about the island’s history and become a better diver with special talks given by our resort’s resident experts. Free Wi Fi is available throughout the resort.
You’ll be cool & comfortable in one of our spacious air-conditioned Oceanfront Rooms, private homes or exotic Over-the-Water Bungalows and Cabanas. Relax in the hammock on your private deck at the edge of Roatan’s incredible underwater realm. Soak in the tropical sun and cooling sea breeze as you rest and unwind. Explore the beautiful landscaped gardens and paths that crisscross the resort. Kayak the mangroves around CCV. Pamper yourself with a private in-room massage, or enjoy an off-site excursion arranged by the resort. Golfing, shark diving, zip-line canopy tours, dolphin encounters…there’s no end to your adventures!

As divers, we share a deep respect for our ocean planet and the diversity of life it supports. We also know what’s at stake if we don’t protect our environment. Divers can make a difference. Each time we travel, dive and immerse ourselves in new destinations, here’s what we can do to help: • Leave Only Bubbles: Minimize waste and pack your trash for home.• Take Only Pictures: Leave shells, coral and other natural treasures in place. • Be Buoyant: Avoid touching reefs and other natural areas with your body, dive gear, cameras and other underwater equipment.
• Lighten Your Lodging Footprint: Turn off lights, reduce air conditioning, reuse towels and conserve water. • Choose Sensible Seafood: If seafood is on the menu, make sustainable choices. • Buyer Beware: Learn the facts before buying souvenirs made from wildlife. (Note; All sea turtle products are illegal)• Support Marine Protected Areas: Contribute via park fees, donations and volunteerism.• Set an Example: Cleanup trash, never intentionally touch, feed or handle marine life, and set examples like these for others to follow.

LDC's ECO/Ocean-Friendly Trips offer opportunities for our diversto engage in conservation programs that are science-based and sustainable while benefiting local communities. Working as 'citizenscientists,' our divers assist local experts with projects to protect marine species, native habitats and the environment. Our hope is that while LDC divers will contribute locally, their stories about these meaningful adventures will be shared globally to educate others for years to come.
Sea Turtle Photo ID -- Our chance encounters with the sea turtles of Roatan can contribute to their conservation. During this day-long adventure to the island’s west end, divers will learn to identify sea turtle species while our photographers capture images for scientists to identify individual animals and assess their populations. Price includes boat transportation and 3 tank dives. Learn more at turtleprotector.org.
