  • were launching Score with an inagural ten day surf trip here in New Zealand. Weve got one of the countrys best pros on-board along with some of the worlds most talented cinematogra-phers, photographers and board shapers. The trip will serve as a platform to showcase New Zealands best surf spots as well as the countrys best travel and lifestyle brands. It will be promoted through an online marketing campaign as well as surf media out-lets to let the world know how great the surf and travel industry is here in NZ. Through the promotion of this trip we will begin book-ing paid passengers for trips later in the year and into 2014.

    Score Surfing was founded with the goal of helping surf-ers score the best waves on the planet, at the best price, with the most stoke possible. Were different from every other surf travel company in many ways. The biggest being that we dont simply ship surfers off to destinations in return for a commission. Rather, we partner with local providers to create one of a kind surf trips which we lead all over the planet.

  • THE PRO Our inagural trip will fea-ture Matt Hewitt, one of New Zealands top up and coming professional surf-ers. Matt is ranked as one of the top surfers in the

    world on the ASP pro tour and is a brand ambassa-dor for New Zealand and for brands such as Deuce-Generation. Matt brings a wealth of experience in the New Zealand surf scene as well as a broad knowledge of the surf breaks around the country.

    The Drone Pilots/Andrew Peterson and Drone Dudes

    Based in Los Angeles, Drone Dudes is a unique collective of designers, film-makers and flying robots. Specializing in remote control aerial cinematogra-phy, the Drone Dudes use a wide range of HD cameras that vary from DSLRs to RED Epic/Scarlet to capture amaz-ing footage from every angle. Recent projects include a music video for Akon, a TVC for Spy Sunglasses and footage for the new Lakey Petersen surf docu-mentary.

    Drone Dudes are amongst the best in the industry with years of aerial experi-ence and an extensive background in film production. They are passionate about their work and always looking to push the limits of low-level aerial cin-ematography.

    Andrew and his crew will be joining our trip to shoot everything from every angle possible.

  • The New Zealand Cinematographer/Damon Meade

    Damon Meade has spent the last 7 years doing a lot of work in the NZ surf scene. Often self driven, his projects have ranged from magazine release DVDs, covering surf events, producing episodes for the TV show Airtime, and the re-cent highly acclaimed surf documentary Under The Weather.

    Damon is a talented filmer, editor, and colour grader and generally attends to all aspects of production right through from filming to post production.

    Damons ability to capture the essence of New Zealand and New Zealand surfing will bring the footage of the trip to an even higher level.

  • Troy Goodall lives his life through the lens.

    Intrigued by the play between light and composition, Troy has devel-oped an otherworldly style, which communicates creative ideas with clean, powerful imagery.

    His ability to build rapport with his subjects also shows through in his unusual portraiture, which can capture a personality in a single shot.

    Approaching every job with a sense of creativity and collaboration, he enjoys working within a team to translate a concept into a strong visual piece.Troy has a compulsive eye for detail, extensive retouching experi-ence. His combined skills mean hes often involved with projects from lens to print.

    Working with top agencies such as Colenso BBDO, Saatchi & Saatchi and JWT, Troy has shot for the likes of Vodafone, Ford and Air New Zealand, amongst many others.

    Troy is an award winning photographer and is considered by the ad industry as the one to watch. And not just because he steals pens.

  • Otis Frizzel / Custom Van Artist Otis Frizzell is one of the true stars of

    New Zealands arts culture. Hes an artistic innovator, style leader, artist, hip hop performer, radio personality, tattooist, and graphic designer, who is now painting, print making and il-lustrating full time.

    For this trip, Otis will be custom painting a camper van with a surf-ing theme, featuring Matt Hewitt and Score. Well film the painting process in time lapse and do a bit of an inter-view with Otis. Were even planning on painting the top of the camper so that it features well in some of our drone helicopter shots.

  • Co-branded CamperIn order to gain sponsorship for the trip, were offering major partners the chance to have branding on the cus-tom camper as well as access to foot-age and photography from the trip. Wed love to have Deuce Generation and Matt featured on the van, as hes such an integral part of our mission.

  • OpportunitiesWe see the opportuni-ty for the footage and photographs taken on the trip to be used by Deuce Generation in a number of ways. In print, TVC, digital cam-paigns involving rich media, social media or banners, on Instagram, on the Deuce Genera-tion website and even for poster signings at each of his events.

    Since Matts also giving talks at schools we see a lot of opportunity for us-age of the film we shoot as positive motivation for youths looking for alter-native answers to tough issues in life. We could also have Matt do a daily trip blog and Instagram photo which are posted on the Deuce Generation website.

  • The PartnershipsIn each of our destinations, we seek partnerships with local action sports and accomodation providers. This allows us to form some great relationships that make our trips more enjoyable while also helping to promote local industry. For this inagural trip, were seeking part-nerships here in NZ with some of our favourite brands.

    In exchange for their participation were offering some great incentives. Brands will be promoted through an online marketing campaign with a guaranteed 500,000 views. Brands will also be promoted on our website and collateral. And most importantly, all featured brands will enjoy product placement in our first NZ trip film which will be shown in industry circles around the globe. Foot-age and still photos will also be taken and shared with brands for use in their own communications.

    In preparation for our first ten day trip in April, Ive spent the past two years exploring the coastline of New Zealand, surfing its most famous and most unex-plored breaks.

    Before New Zealand, I worked extensive-ly in the marketing and travel industry as the sales director of The Aggressor Fleet, the preeminent live-aboard dive yacht company in the world, leading travelers to adventure in far off places like The Red Sea, Truk Lagoon, the Caribbean, Costa Rica, Palau and Fiji.
