Hands on Courses:

Indian Dental Association Basic Laser Certification Course: we have chalked out a one and a

half day hands-on certification course for laser dentistry consisting of lectures from an

international panel of speakers, covering the science of laser therapy & the applications of

lasers in dental practices. Hands-on demo would be available for hard & soft tissues on

sheep or goat jaw. There would be an open discussion, MCQ Test, followed by an award

ceremony for the certificate to all the participants. The basic outline of the program is as

Inman Aligner Hands-on Course:

Participants will understand case selection and implantation for the Inman Aligner orthodontic appliance along with the concept of progressive smile to provide minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry. At the end of the day delegates will be listed as an Inman Aligner Certified User.

The Trainer Dr Gun Norell completed her Dental Degree at Royal Karolinska Institute in Sweden 1986. Since then she has been running a private dental clinic in Stockholm for 18 years before moving to UAE 2007 where she is currently practising at Snö Dental Clinic. Her main focus has always been on minimal invasive multidisciplinary treatments. Since 2014 she is a certified Inman Aligner trainer and has completed over 300 cases, often combined with bleaching, direct or indirect bonding for the best results.Today her focus lies on progressive smile design where the patient leads the way during treatment. Dr Gun is a member of AACD.

Scientific Activities:

The scientific activity also continues by means of poster, paper and table clinic

presentations.

The students will present their e-posters uploaded through the online web portal. The paper

presentations/ free communication will also follow similar pattern but it will be in a power

point format as against posters that will be a single slide JPEG. The duration for each

presentation will be 8 min of presentation and 2 min Question & Answer session by the

Judge. The 3 best papers and posters will be awarded during the closing ceremony of the

conference.

The guidelines for abstract shall be as follows:

1. Abstract shall not be longer than 250 words.

2. Abstract title must be less than 10 words and express the researches essence

3. No tables, charts or graphics shall be included in the abstracts.

4. Abstract body shall not include any indication of the personal details of authors.

5. Avoid reference to institution names, locations, or funding sources in the abstract.

6. Only the author is allowed to present his/her abstract at the conference.

7. Maximum of three co-authors are allowed per abstract.

8. The authors have to be a member of IDA to be eligible to present the article.

9. Certificate of participation will be presented to the Co-authors

10. Only One submission per author is permitted for the competition.

11. Do not submit on-going studies, or abstract with incomplete result or conclusion.

12. Abstracts will be rejected if the above rules are not met.

13. Abstracts shouldn’t be prepared like a presentation type which has been already

submitted.

14. The abstract should not been submitted and accepted at another national or

international scientific meeting.

Guidelines of E-Poster:-

1. The file should be in PNG, JPEG format (preferably).

2. The file should be more than 7 MB and less than 15 MB in size (If submitting two

images the combine size of two images should be less than 15 MB).

3. The file should be in landscape format (preferably).

4. The author’s can include their name, institution name, guide name and co-author’s

name.

Guidelines for paper presentation:

1. The file should be in PPT format.

2. The file should be submitted atleast 2 hours prior to presentation in the preview

room

3. The author’s can include their name, institution name, guide name and co-author’s

name.
