Science StandardsGoals

The purposes of scientific investigation and discovery are to satisfy humankind’s quest for knowledge and understanding and to preserve and enhance the quality of the human experience. Therefore, as a result of science instruction, students will be able to achieve the followingobjectives:

1. Develop and use an experimental design in scientific inquiry.2. Use the language of science to communicate understanding.3. Investigate phenomena using technology.4. Apply scientific concepts, skills, and processes to everyday experiences.5. Experience the richness and understanding excitement of scientific discovery of the natural world throughthe collaborative quest for knowledge

The student will use technology to locate, evaluate, and collect information from a variety of sources.·        Use databases and spreadsheets to evaluate information.·        Use technology resources such as calculators and data collection probes for gathering information.·        Use Internet and other electronic resources to locate information in real time.

The student will evaluate and select new information resources and technological innovations based on the appropriateness for specific tasks.·        Use search strategies to retrieve information.·        Evaluate the accuracy, relevance, and appropriateness of electronic information sources.

Description and Documentation

 First we took notes on the scientific method, so we learn more on the scientific method.  Then we  decided in a way to do the scientific method do a song about it, the beat of are song was from the lazy song.  Then we recorded us singing the scientific method  NOW WE KNOW THE SCIENTIFIC METHOD BY HEART!!!!!!!!!

 Now its time to do the experiment this is where we test our hypothesiscant wait to find out are results..yeaahhh

Today i feel like doing something..sciiiiii iencei just wanna think of a topic, sciii iencethe scientific method is, a way of answering questions in order to solve all of your problems..

Ohh ohh yes i was thinking, i was thinking, im thinking cause i can...

Now its time to analyze our datadraw our conclusion and then see ya latawe’ll do it all over again...Cuz we like to keep learning Today I feel like doing something ... Until tomorrow

Evidence of LearningThe Science Song

-This process helped me learn the scientific method because doing research got me interested

in learning more and then the notes i took got stuck in my mind because i is see it

everyday. Also making the song was a fun way of typing up of the steps. The song was very

catchy so i good easily remember it. -What i learned about the Scientific method is that it's a way of answering questions. So when you have a question to something, you can refer to it all the time. I also learned the steps!

Karen's Reflection

-I think that we could change it a little bit and make sure that EVERYONE makes there best effort.

I think that this process helped me by having fun and making a song with my friends while learning the scientific method.

It helped me cause i found out we use the scientific method every day! even animals!

What i would do differently is use google....and also decide to get the beat right and practice more maybe get more notes
