Use argument supported by evidence for how the body is a system of interacting subsystems
composed of groups of cells. [Clarification Statement: Emphasis is on the conceptual understanding
that cells form tissues and tissues form organs specialized for particular body functions. Examples
could include the interaction of subsystems within a system and the normal functioning of those
systems.]

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.7.7
Conduct short research projects to answer a question, drawing on several sources and generating
additional related, focused questions for further research and investigation.
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.7.8
Gather relevant information from multiple print and digital sources, using search terms effectively;
assess the credibility and accuracy of each source; and quote or paraphrase the data and

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.7.9
Draw evidence from literary or informational texts to support analysis, reflection, and research.
Before Starting the project, review all documents and the breakdown of days.
Day 15- Choose a body system and start your research. Make sure
you are following the criteria needed for your presentation.
Document this research on the Human Body Systems Research
Guided Questions worksheet (in google classroom). Make sure you
are documenting where you are gathering your information for your
Bibliography page (in google classroom).
Review the Human Body Systems Project Rubric, Notes Taken
category.
Day 16- Continue your research and complete the Human Body
Systems Research Guided Questions worksheet (in google
classroom). Make sure you are documenting where you are
gathering your information for your Bibliography page (in google
classroom).
*UPLOAD the Human Body Systems Research Guided Question
Worksheet to your Google Classroom for Science and ELA. You can
access an editable version on your Science Google Classroom. Under
day 15.
Review the Human Body Systems Project Rubric, Notes Taken
category.
Day 17- Create a 3D representation of your body system. You may
use the materials of your choice. You must include the main
parts/organs of the system. Each part of the model must be labeled
with a brief description of its function.
Review the Human Body Systems Project Rubric, 3D Diagram
Content.
Day 18- Continue your work on the 3D representation of your body
system.
*UPLOAD a picture of your model to your Google Classroom for
Science.
Review the Human Body Systems Project Rubric, 3D Diagram
Content.
Day 19- Create a Google Slides, PowerPoint presentation, or poster
using the information on your research guide.
Review the Human Body Systems Project Rubric, Presentation
Content and Presentation.
Day 20- Complete your presentation google slides, PowerPoint, or
poster.
*UPLOAD your presentation slides or a picture of your poster to Day
20 in google classroom.

Youtube link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyCd_hsWhAA Lyrics Fighter Jamie Grace Seven bucks an hour Bills stacked on the counter Got a baby on the way, don't have to feed His pride is gettin' torn down His confidence is worn out This ain't the way he dreamed that it would be
But he won't ever ask why 'Cause he's made up his mind
He's a fighter, got that fire When they thought he'd fade away Throws a fist up, as he gets up Feelin' stronger everyday When he gets down on his knees, he finds The courage to believe He's a fighter, he's a fighter Who inspires me
She's got no time for makeup 'Cause she's got three boys to wake up Never thought she'd have to raise them on her own And some days she feels like cryin' But she's holdin' on, survivin' On the love that makes their little house A home
And she sees it in their eyes All the reasons why, yeah
She's a fighter, got that fire When you thought she'd fade away Throws a fist up, as she gets up Feelin' stronger everyday When she gets down on her knees, she finds the courage to believe She's a fighter, she's a figher Who inspires me, oohooo She inspires me, yeah
She's been here before And she's only eight years old But she knows the name of every nurse she sees And though she don't like the chemo She waits it out, never losin' hope that Someday soon she'll be cancer-free
She's a fighter, got that fire When they thought she'd fade away Throws a fist up, keeps her head up Feelin' stronger everyday When she gets down on her knees, she finds the courage to believe She's a fighter, she's a figher Who inspires, yeah He's a fighter, he's a fighter Who inspires me He inspires me
You're my inspiration, my inspiration, yeah You're my inspiration, my inspiration, yeah You are my inspiration, my inspiration, yeah You're my inspiration, my inspiration, yeah Step 2: Answer the following questions. These questions will help you to start brainstorming your drawing.
