COMPONENT I: COMPREHENSIVE NEEDS ASSESSMENT (CNA)

DATA REVIEWED & ANALYZED:

Based on your schools NSPF results, identify what additional data have been reviewed and analyzed in development of the SPP.

School Data For General Education Including FRL English Language Learner (ELL) Data Special Education Data

Nevada School Performance Framework (NSPF) Nevada School Performance Framework (NSPF) Nevada School Performance Framework (NSPF)NA AMAOs/ELPA Analysis Achievement Gap DataNA Achievement Gap Data NANA NA NANA NA NAOther: Attendance Data Other: Attendance Data Other: Attendance DataOther: Advanced Placement Results Other: Other:

Summary Statement: Please provide a brief description for how the analyzed data will impact your Inquiry and Action Planning process. There was an overall graduation rate increase from to 73% to 74.62%. The Annual Measurable Object goal for 2016 of 77% was not reached. Implementation of the Nevada Academic Content Standards, PASS Proficiency Preparation, Credit Retrieval, After School Tutoring, Common Assessments, teacher collaboration, and common assessment data analysis contributed to improvements in the overall graduation rate. The above mentioned programs have been replicated, staffed, and funded for the 2016-2017 school year. Overall graduation data shows that continued efforts should be applied to specific sub-groups in order to address achievement gaps and their direct correlation to average daily attendance. The AP test results reflected in the NSPF show a low pass rate of AP tests. There is a lack of advertisement and communication on CTE programs offered at Legacy High School. Although the target of 77% was not realized for 2016, it was surpassed in 2017 with an overall graduation rate of 87.50%. Historically, this represents a 22% overall increase over five years. Legacy High School will continue utilizing the main components of the current SPP with annual reviews and augmentations where needed to not only sustain the growth of the graduation rate, but increase it further.

COMPONENT II: Inquiry Process & Action Plan Design- Priority Need/Goal 1

Based on the CNA, identify all that apply:☑ General Education ☑ FRL ☑ ELL ☑ IEP ☐ Other

Priority Need/Goal 1:Increase the percentage of students graduating each year.

Root Causes:Although we are on a block schedule providing opportunities to earn eight credits a year and we offer credit-retrieval class, 12.5% of our seniors in 2016-2017 were credit deficient and did not graduate on time. Based on classroom observations, increased student engagement needs to occur to positively impact academic achievement through Tier 1 strategies. The graduation rate among males is 86.33% versus 88.58% females. Low average daily attendance rates have a direct impact on the graduation rate.

Measurable Objective 1:Decrease the number of credit deficient seniors from 12.5% to 9% for the class of 2017-18.

Measurable Objective 2:Increase graduation rate of the African-American students from 85% to 88% and the Hispanic students from 88% to 90% as measured by the Nevada Performance Framework.

Measurable Objective 3:Increase senior male student graduation rate from 88.58% to 91% by 2017-18 as measured by the Nevada Performance Framework.

Measurable Objective 4:Increase senior graduation rate from 87.5% to 90% by 2017-18 as measured by the Nevada Performance Framework.

Measurable Objective 5:Increase the percent of 2017 seniors taking ACT from 87.4% to 100%
