Girls: blue long dress and shirt ; it was compulsory to wear something on your head to keep your hair in order
Boys: blue coat and trousers, white shirt
Girls: blue long dress (a bit tighter than the one in the ‘60s), white shirt
It’s not compulsory

Parents’ involvement in the school life

Parents were not very involved because they were too busy working
and providing everything necessary
for their children.
Parents were also busy but they used to
go to school to discuss with the form
teacher or maybe they telephoned.
Greater involvement:
participation to meetings, phoning the form teacher regularly, being
called by the teachers.

- making noise or being naughty during lessons- for not doing homework - for skipping classes - for fighting in school
- being late for the class; skipping classes- not obeying school rules- inadequate behaviour- consumption of alcohol or other substances in school- damaging school property
