Objectives 1. Raising awareness of the importance of appreciating the environment 2. Enhance the spirit of cooperation and strengthen deep friendships among school people and the community as well as related parties.

Teacher In Charge Principal, Senior Assistant, Sustainable School Committee & Class Teachers.

Work process

1. Students do maintenance of Cactus Garden and Herbal Garden from time to time. 2. Preparation for Cactus and Herbal competition between classes. 3. Evaluation of cactus and herbal creative work. 4. Presentation of competition prizes in school assemblies.

Constraints 1. Implementation time is too short. 2. There are classes that do not give full cooperation.

Monitoring

Coordination between the organizers and class teachers is essential.

Evaluation Both projects can be implemented well especially in the process of preparing various species of cactus and herbaceous plants for Cactus Garden and Herb Garden.

Suggestions for Improvement

There is a need to outline the competition rules of both projects in more details in the future.

1. World Earth Day Launching Ceremony. 2. Talk on Environmental Awareness. 3. Principal's speech on "World Earth Day". 4. Presentation of prizes for poster drawing competition and herbal tree planting.

Constraints -

Monitoring

Launching of the ceremony during the morning and afternoon sessions assembly can be carried out.

Evaluation The content of the programme is related to increase the level of awareness of all school staff.

Suggestions for Improvement

There is a need to make arrangements with the Department of the Environment in advance to avoid situations where they are unable to attend together.

Objectives 1. Spread the message of the Environment to school people in particular and outsiders in general. 2. Dissemination of information through the online system (Website).

1. The bulletin is published twice a year. 2. Bulletin informations are pasted on each student class notice board. 3. The bulletin is distributed to the local community. 4. Implementation of Plastic Module teaching and learning process in the classroom for all 35 Form 1 - 5 classes.

Sink Water Waste Collection System in Canteen.

Production of Compost Fertilizer as Organic Fertilizer for St. Patrick's Nursery Garden.

Objectives 1. Increase the awareness in reducing the plastic usage and improving the plastic waste management system in school and community.

Date of Implementation January – November.

Targetted Group Students (1,383 persons).

Work process

1. The waste water in the school canteen area is collected and reused to wash the drain and water the flowers. 2. Students dig holes to make fertilizer. 3. Students and teachers collect food waste in the school canteen. 4. Students produce compost with the help of teachers.
