Antistatic Conductivity

■ Conductive PE-HD plastics avoid electrostatic charge and sparking.Flammable liquids must be collected under extreme caution. Static electricity and sparking causes fi re hazards and explosion risks. SCAT Europe installation systems are made of electrically conductive PE-HD and avoid electrostatic charge by using grounding connections.

■ Better than heavy stainless steel.Low weight and conductivity make our PE-HD the perfect material for laboratory use. Transportation of heavy-weight steel containers is more than diffi cult, especially when they are fi lled. Use the weight advantage of SCAT Europe containers.

■ No corrosion.Even organic solvents and aggressive substances can be collected safely with the SCAT Europe system. Due to its chemical resistance, there is no corrosion caused by acids and alkaline solutions.

Filling UnitsFilling units are placed directly within your operating range, e.g. on desktop surfaces and rear panels. They collect fl uid waste and lead it into the pipe system. Fluids can be collected via safety funnels or directly from your HPLC tubes and capillaries.

ContainerConnectionsSCAT SafetyWasteCaps provide a safe connection of the pipe system to the waste container. Exhaust fi lters are blocking hazardous vapours to protect operators and their environment from damage.

This system is the current international standard for safe disposal of fl uid waste in HPLC laboratories.


INFO Explosion Proof

The SafetyWasteCap with electric level alert has been ATEX approved for explosion protected areas. According to the statement of conformity released by TÜV Nord, it complies with the requirements of the following standards:

Safety notice: the cap has to be fused by a switch amplifi er and may only be installed by qualifi ed personnel. Please ask your local safety responsible before installing any of these components.

Cleans the exhaust air from solvent fumes and hazardous vapours. Contains our charcoal-based fi ltering granulate with a specifi c fi ltering surface of 1200m2/g.

Please notice: The fl ex tube only fi ts the cap if exhaust fi lter and fi lter link are combined! Please regard the fi lter link (see below) in your fi rst order to make sure that all components fi t together.
