Our athletic program plays an important role in the overall
education and experience at St. Paul VI Catholic High
School. We see our sports teams as an extension of the
school’s mission; to develop student-athletes spiritually,
intellectually, physically, and socially.
We strive to run a college-preparatory athletic program so
that our student-athletes, who are able to combine the
right amount of ability and desire, can compete at the
next level as a result of their Paul VI athletic experience.
Our mission extends beyond the playing fields. PVI
students develop the life skills needed to transition to
college, careers, and become productive members of
society, all grounded in the teachings of St. Francis
deSales and Gospel values.
Our Hall of Fame members and inductees exemplify what
Paul VI is all about and inspire our students to do the
same. Your accomplishments, stories, and the legacy you
have left for our future Panthers are a gift to our PVI
community. Thank you for your commitment to your sport,
your teams, and St. Paul VI Catholic High School.
Congratulations to our new inductees. It is an honor to
welcome you into the Paul VI Athletic Hall of Fame.

Physical Education, and Driver Education at St. Paul VI
Catholic High School. For the past eight years, “Coach
Gary” has dedicated his time and energy to the Paul VI

Jeff Marcey is a 2004 Paul VI graduate. At Paul VI he
lettered in football, wrestling, and track and field. In his
junior year, Jeff was recognized as an All-American in

Community Stars
Since the late 1980’s, the Ciatti’s have been an integral
part of the Paul VI community. Parents of three Paul VI
alumni, Mike ’88, Danny ’89, and Cara ’91, their notable
contributions range from cutting bushes and painting the
snack bar, to asking the City of Fairfax to donate
Woodson High School’s old scoreboard and getting
Fairfax City’s Parks and Recreation to move bleachers to
the football field, to substitute teaching and coaching.
Additionally, Nancy served on the Capital Campaign
Committee, and was recognized by the Catholic
Business Network for her outstanding contributions to
Catholic schools in the Diocese. Paul was an assistant
Paul VI baseball coach, responsible for outfield play and
bunting instruction, while serving as the “eye in the sky.”
He imparts to the students the idea that they are a part
of a bigger community and that their purpose in life is
not only about athletic accomplishments, but also about
being positive, conscientious, and faithful. Nancy and
Paul’s devotion to the Paul VI community is unwavering.
