1 General Information

This section of the guide contains important information that you need to read before starting your installation processes.

1.1 Relevant Product Guides

The add-on does not contain any modifications. You can also perform the installation if you have already imported more support packages into your system than specified as required.

1.4 Download

You can use the SAP Maintenance Planner https://support.sap.com/en/solution-manager/processes-72/maintenance-planner.html

to select and download the files that you need for the installation.

1.5 Software Update Manager

You can install S/4HANA for customer management using Software Upgrade Manager (SUM).

1.6 SAP Add-On Installation Tool

You can install SAP S/4HANA for customer management using the SAP Add-On Installation Tool (transaction SAINT). For more information, call the transaction SAINT and choose Info in the application toolbar. Alternatively, see SAP Support Help at https://support.sap.com/en/tools/software-logistics-tools.html .

1.7 Language Support

The languages are contained in the installation package and are imported automatically during the installation in accordance with the standard languages installed in your SAP release. You do not need to import a language transport separately.

2 Installation

This section of the guide provides information about the installation process.

2.1 Introduction

SAP S/4HANA for customer management is installed as an add-on in SAP S/4HANA on premise. The following sections review the procedures for installing the add-on.

2.2 Combination with Other Products

SAP S/4HANA for customer management can be used with the SAP digital payments add-on. This add-on needs to be installed separately and requires a separate license. For more information, see SAP Note 2524512 .

2.3 Required Product Versions and Components

To install SAP S/4 HANA for customer management, the following product version and components are required:

● SAP S/4 HANA 1709 FPS 01.

2.4 Installing with SAP Add-On Installation Tool

If you are installing SAP S/4HANA for customer management using the SAP Add-On Installation Tool (transaction SAINT), you must generate a stack XML file in the Maintenance Planner. Landscape verification is required to enable the tools to create a proper stack configuration XML file for the correct product constellation. The required installation packages are made available for download during this process. You can then select the required product version and release.

2.5 Installing with Software Update Manager

If you are including the installation of SAP S/4HANA of customer management in an enhancement package update using Software Update Manager (SUM), you must first generate a stack XML file in the Maintenance Planner.

3 Post-Installation Steps

This section of the guide describes required setup activities that have to be done after the installation process is complete.

3.1 Copy Delivery Customizing

Delivery Customizing is imported into client 000 and may have to be copied to other clients. For more information, see SAP Note 2604207https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/ .

3.2 Generate Authorization Profile SAP_ALL

You need to generate the authorization profile SAP_ALL using either transaction SU21 or report RSUSR406to ensure that the relevant authorization objects for SAP S/4HANA for customer management are available.

3.3 Activating the WebClient UI

Use

The WebClient UI is part of the ICF services that are automatically installed as part of the SAP NetWeaver Application Server. After installation all services are inactive. To use the WebClient UI you need to activate the required services. For more information, search for Activating and Deactivating the ICF Services in the relevant version of SAP NetWeaver on SAP Help Portal.

3.4 Navigation from WebClient UI to Fiori UI

In SAP S/4HANA, all functions and features are accessible in the SAP Fiori launchpad. Using the launchpad, you can call up all apps for which you have been granted access. These can be SAP Fiori apps, as well as applications based on Web Dynpro and SAP GUI for HTML technology. To connect the WebClient UI used by SAP S/4HANA for customer management to the Fiori Launchpad, you need to make the required settings in Customizing for customer management under Basic Functions UI NavigationConfigure/Define Parameter Mapping
