1-Installation Log validation.

Open puttyGo to /tmp/sapinst_instdir/ERP/SYSTEM/ORA/CENTRAL/ASlsps –ef | grep sapinst.logvi sapinst.logto go down in sapinst.log file in vi editor we need do the following.:$Look for the installation completed successfully.

To quit vi editor without saving do :q!

2-Stop & start SAP.

Open VNCVIEWER

You will logged in as root

To check – # whoami

#xclock

#xhost + to enable all the logins as root permission

su <sidadm> (you can only stop sap and start sap from <sid>adm) – All the sap activity is done through <sid>adm

#xclock

#stop sap

#start sap

If sap does not start, start the listener by using #start lsnrctl

and then start the sap

3-STMS configuration.

(Note: SAP GUI (front end) should be installed at this point and configure)

Through SAP GUI - login to client 000

Type STMS and hit enter the following dialog box appears.

DE1 is the first system to be installed in the landscape the configuration will be a self domain.

Click on Save button.

Click on tick mark.

Click on tick mark

Click on the “transport routes” icon 5th icon from the left.

Click on change mode by clicking on the pencil icon.

Click on configuration –> Standard Configuration Single system

Click on save the above screen appears.

Click on the tick mark

Click yes

Configuration was distributed and activated.

Go back to STMS tcode.

Click on system overview 4th icon from the left.

This completes the STMS configuration. Check for the green box for confirmation

If you don’t get the green box icon, click refresh few times. (First button from left).

4-SGEN – Mass generation of programs.

Login to the active client 001 or any client in your scenario.

In this case the active client as of now is 001.

Type SGEN and hit enter.

The first time we select the option 1 and if the SGEN was terminated in the middle automatically option 3 is selected which will start from the point where it stopped. Click continue.

Later you can schedule the job in the evening.

SGEN process complete.

5-DB statistics.

Login into vncviewer

#pwd

/root

#xclock

#xhost +

#su <sid>adm

#xclock

#brtools (brtools can only be run through <sid>adm because it is sap tool and it should be in lower case)

1 = Update database statistics 2 - Collect missing statistics 3 - Delete harmful statistics 4 - Manage database statistics 5 - Reset program status

Standard keys: c - cont, b - back, s - stop, r - refr, h - help-------------------------------------------------------------------------------BR0662I Enter your choice:

Now select Option 1 – Update database statistics

Then, Select option c to continue for 4 times, then DB statistics will be started.

Note: For Vanila ecc 6.0 system it will take couple of hours and for ides ecc 6.0 it will take 10 to 12 hrs to complete DB statistics

6-Client copy.

Through SAP GUI login to active client (001)

Login as ddic

Password:password 2010

Tcode SCC4 for client copy

Go to change mode by clicking the pencil icon

Check the mark

Click new entries

Type in the client info, city, std currency and client role

Then click on floppy disk icon to save the current values.

Then after saving click check mark.

Then click on pencil icon to change from change mode to display mode.

Logout and login to client 900 with sap*

Use login as client 900

Login as SAP*

Password: PASS

Goto tcode SCCL to copy the client.

Select profile – SAP_ALLsource client – 000

User master client – 000 (As this is a new installation).

Click on “schedule as background job”

Click on the tick mark.

Click on tick mark.

Click on schedule job.

Click on wizard to set up RFC connection and follow the screen shots.

Check on user exists box and then

Now start the client copy

Goto tcode SCCL to copy the client.

Click on start immediately

Click on check mark

Background job is scheduled.

Goto tcode SM37 and look for active jobs with sap*
