In the 21st century bras have become a necessity for women. Women spend 16 billion USD solely on bras per year.

As modern woman spends more than half of her life wearing a bra, negative consequences to her health can arise, if the bra is not chosen properly.

3

Over 85% of women wear the wrong size of bra. Very few know what types of bras are the best for their wellbeing.

Today’s world of bras is quite variable, but … all these bras has one common general drawback:

Women aren’t told that aesthetic breast is not a personal aim, but the element of the royal posture

Page 6: SANKOM Multivectoral posture bra presentation

Most bras create significant extra load on the spine and shoulders due to partial transfer of breast weight on shoulder girdle.

The increase of the static and dynamic pressure on shoulder girdle, back and neck on everyday basis bends to shoulders bent inwards which leads to an incorrect posture, discomfort, pain and other health disorders.

6

Even minor pressure during long period of time can be the reason of significant changes in women’s posture and health.

The main drawback of classical bras

– shoulders are brought together;

– head and back are bent forwards;

– the chest is flattened; – the stomach protrudes

forward;– spine and shoulder

blades are backwards.

7

Main characteristics of incorrect posture:

8

- an alternation in overall skeleton;- motor apparatus disorder;- headaches;- back pain;- malfunctions of the respiratory, nerve and cardiovascular systems;- sagging belly;- violation of lumbar mobility; - weakening of the calf and thigh muscles;- loose skin on the face;- the appearance of double chin;- etc.

Many women have these problems without realising that the cause of these issues is their bras.

An incorrect posture and particularlystoop can lead to:

Visually, such a person is perceived as

a "slave“. He occupies a weak or a

subordinate position in relation to the

interlocutor, which is incompatible with

the image of a modern business lady

Improper position of the head can

cause headaches, attention

disorders, poor eyesight and hearing

The situation becomes more critical when women wear push-up bra to achieve better aesthetical appearance.

10

Push-Up Effect

It leads to push-up effect: stronger outline as well as younger and firmer appearance of the breasts.

The push-up bra elevates and draws together the breasts.

11

The biggest disadvantage is that push- up bras can lead to development of incorrect posture and a stoop.

According to the law of physics:the forces elevating the breasts up always equal to the forces causing the load on the shoulder

That is why:the stronger the push-up effect is, the higher the probability for stoop development and incorrect posture exists.

Special orthopedic bras exist on the market thet improves posture and combats stoops by bringing the shoulters backwards and shoulder blades together

However many women choose not to wear orthopedic bras as they cause the push-down effect (spreading breasts outwards due to shoulders being pulled bacwards

Drawing inwards and elevating the right breast (push-up effect) is achieved by pulling the right shoulder backwards.

Drawing inwards and elevating the left breast (push-up effect) is provided by pulling the left shoulder backwards.

24

Even though it provides the desired esthetical push-up effect, the pressure on the shoulder

girdle is directed at drawing the shoulders backwards, not pulling them inwards. Therefore

the conditions for maintaining the correct posture are created.

This bra structure simultaneously draws the shoulders outwards and pulls and pushes up

the breasts inwards.

This way the mechanism of drawing inwards and elevating the right breast is independent from the mechanism of drawing inwards and elevating the left breast.

For additional comfort in use of the bra left and right parts can be interconnected in different ways, for example with a special buckle.

The Multivectorial posture push–up bra also exists with a

wide crosscut band under the breast, which is common in

many bras. The straps can be fixed to the band in one or

several points.

40 Copyright ©

Page 41: SANKOM Multivectoral posture bra presentation

41

Such band gives an opportunity to modify the shape and position of the circular part

of the straps. For example they can be positioned on the back as a cross (for more

orthopedic effect) or as a rectangle (for a bra with an open back).

The straps can also be produced as sleeves (channels), fixed to the crosscut band.

Inside these channels stiff mobile cords can be placed.

Page 42: SANKOM Multivectoral posture bra presentation

In order to improve push-up effect the cups of the bra can be supplied with special pads to

regulate the visual size of the breast. The side part of the strap is fixed to the inside of the

bra pad. When it is pulled the pad is moved, but not the cup. So the cup remains static or

moves less than the pad.

42

The use of multivectoral posture push –up bra alters the balance of the neck and back muscles by drawing the shoulders backwards and eliminating the conditions to develop a stoop.
