Planted in 1992 to the Grace Family clone on 110R Rootstock. Winemaking Facility/ Winemaker: Vineyard 29 / Keith Emerson Fruit Processing: 100% destemmed, optically sorted, whole berry, small lot fermentation utilizing gentle punch- downs at beginning and end of fermentation, pumpovers and rack and returns during peak fermentation. Yeast: Indigenous Malolactic: Indigenous fermentation in barrel post primary fermentation Oak Regime: 22 months in 70% new, thin stave, tight grain, French oak from Taransaud, Boutes, Remond Rackings: One post fermentation, one mid-summer and one two weeks prior to bottling Bottling Date: July 26th, 2018 pH at Bottling: 3.74 TA at Bottling: 0.61 g/100ml Alcohol by Volume: 14.3% Cases Produced: 148 Release Date: March 1st, 2019 Price: $165.00 TASTING NOTES: Fresh black currant, brambly blackberry, with hints of mocha and exotic spice. Enters full and plush, concentrated mid-palate, mouth coating texture with a firm acid backbone, supple tannins and lingering finish.
