SAN FRANCISCO GENERAL HOSPITAL TWO-DIMENSIONAL ARTWORK SELECTION PANEL SUMMARY MEETING DATE: Tuesday, January 14, 2014 VOTING SELECTION PANELISTS: *Sue Carlisle, Associate Dean, University of California, San Francisco Kevin Chen, Program Director, Visual Arts, Literary & Jazz, Intersection for the Arts *Sue Currin, Chief Executive Officer, San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center Judy Moran, Art Consultant Barbara Sklar, Arts Commissioner PROCESS: The panel reviewed 380 artworks from the 2013/14 Two-Dimensional Artwork Registry preselected by SFAC staff. The panel also reviewed 5 artworks from the Civic Art Collection, originally purchased for General Hospital. Using a yes/no voting system, the panel selected 227 artworks that fell within a competitive range to be displayed in public corridors and waiting rooms of the new General Hospital Building.
