Academic Focus Salve Regina University’s Summer in Rome program at the American University of Rome (AUR) allows students to earn 6 cred-its by choosing two courses from a variety of courses being offered. On-campus and on-site courses offer students a range of possibilities to study in the ancient city of Rome. Students will live in their own, fully equipped apartments, minutes from the center of the old city and the Vatican. AUR offers optional field trips to climb Mt. Vesuvius and visit the ancient city of Pompeii and/or to tour a Tuscan vine-yard and visit Renaissance Florence, which will enhance students’ appreciation for the Italian people and culture. This is a great pro-gram option for students looking to fulfill core complements or any-one studying Art, Film, Business, History or Cultural and Historic Preservation. All courses are taught by AUR faculty. Complete course list for Summer 2015 will be available on the AUR website in No-vember. Course Expectations Faculty leaders will schedule pre-departure meetings as needed prior to program departure and will host reflective meetings during the program. All courses begin upon arrival in Rome. All formal course requirements will be determined by AUR faculty. Accommodations Lodging and on site logistics will be coordinated by the American University of Rome (AUR) www.aur.edu. Lodging: Students will be housed in AUR student apartments. Most apartments are located near AUR and are shared between 5-6 students from Salve Regina or students attending AUR from other universities. Each apartment is furnished. Linens, towels and basic kitchen supplies are provided by AUR. Each apartment also has a computer, free wireless internet and a landline that students may use. Meals: 2-3 group meals are included in the program fee. Students are responsible for all other meals. Eligibility Requirements
