Since July 1, 2012, AT&T has been the new state relay provider for Relay Colorado, a free public service that enables people with a hearing or speech loss to com-municate with standard telephone users using a text telephone or other assistive device such as a captioned phone. The conversa-tion is relayed between the two parties by a specially trained Relay Communications Assistant. AT&T employs a highly skilled and expe-rienced team of Communication Assistants, and offers an integrated

combination of service and tech-nology for the citizens of Colorado.

For more than 26 years – lon-ger than any other relay provider in the industry – AT&T has been connecting relay users with their world. During this time, AT&T has consistently provided innovative, reliable, high-quality relay services and excellent customer service. Today, AT&T’s commitment to be the best relay provider continues, just as it did when the company handled its fi rst relay call in Janu-ary 1987.

AT&T has vast experience in working with all sectors of busi-ness—including state govern-ments and their agencies – as well as citizens and advocacy groups. AT&T works closely with the Colo-rado Public Utilities Commission to ensure the best customer expe-rience for traditional relay users.

AT&T Relay Colorado also works closely with those in the fi eld of

captioned telephone service to imple-ment and pro-vide state-o f - t h e - a r t technology to Colora-do and its citizens.

A T & T e m p l oy s more than 2,100 peo-ple in Colorado. AT&T has spent more than $1.2 billion on goods and services purchased from Col-orado suppliers, supporting jobs and economic activity in the state. AT&T Colorado operations gener-ated more than $79 million in local and state taxes helping to support additional vital programs. AT&T and its employees contributed more than $685,000 through char-itable programs throughout Colo-

rado in 2012 alone. Lastly, AT&T em-

ployees and retirees do-

nated more than 17,000 hours of p e r s o n a l time on c o m m u -nity out-

charitable and community organi-

and enhance our networks across Colorado, we fi rmly believe that every American should have ac-cess to reliable, affordable com-munications service,” said Bill Soards, President AT&T Colorado. “We are proud to work with the state in making communications services accessible to everyone—

both in Colorado and across the

country.”

AT&T Relay Colorado is proud

to support and work alongside

the Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, and

In the increasingly fragmented media world, newspapers reach the highest-quality citizens. De-spite the notion that newspapers are dead or dying, community newspapers with their hyper-local news, enjoy a sustainable reader-ship. Residents report reading their local community paper from cover to cover, and fi nd the news more relevant than in bigger metro pa-pers.

Colorado Community Media embraces all things local.

We are nearly one year into our new venture, combining 22 Denver area community newspapers and media sites covering more than 185,000 residences. Often, our pa-pers reach readers that big daily papers do not, creating a better and more profi table response for

our advertisers, large and small. In 2012, our publications won

more than 90 awards in the Colora-do Press Association Better News-paper Contest. Better content is drawing more readers to both our print and online outlets.

Our stories cover local policy-making, high school sports, new business openings, special events and more. We cover the big stories, too, but always include the impact on your community.

IntroducingShopLocalColorado.com

Colorado Community Media re-cently launched Shop Local Colo-rado in support of local businesses and of businesses that operate in our wide coverage area. The pro-gram includes all print advertise-ments in an online directory, mak-ing it fast and easy for residents to fi nd the newest community servic-es, deals and events.

Colorado Community Media is both a locally owned business and an advocate for keeping your spending dollars local. Our pri-mary focus is on businesses owned and operated in your community. However, we also understand the

value of large companies locating in our communities and the posi-tive impact they can have on our tax base and our employment.

Local businesses and locally op-erating businesses are also more likely to give back to the commu-nity through sponsorship of local activities and events.

Keeping it local can havetremendous pay-offs

Colorado Community Media champions news, actions and businesses in our local communi-

ties. Our growing suite of advertis-ing products and services seek to help our local colleagues succeed in business, and our friends and neighbors to fi nd those businesses.

• Readers actively seek out new lo-

cal events, activities and deals in our papers and our web and so-cial media sites.

• We create new awareness of your company and brand to a highly affl uent group of readers.

• We help you get your ad created...at no charge. That’s right. We still hold the belief that your desire to

fi nd new local customers should be supported by our local adver-tising expertise. We’ll help you determine which papers and sites to advertise on and design an ad that will reach your desired audience.

We are most satisfi ed with our jobs when we are keeping our lo-cal readers informed, whether it’s breaking or feel-good news, the latest event, a new store opening, or a can’t-miss deal. If it’s local, we’re on it.

Jalopyz Hot Rod Gift Shop was born of Brent and Vicky Decker’s love for the car cul-ture.

This unique Golden shop reaches into the past and

brings out memories: of a fi rst car, a fi rst date, the Drive-In, car hops on roller skates, service from a gas station, or a race won on a road just of town. Jalopyz offers automobile-themed art work for garage, offi ce, or home from local artists, and the Deckers are proud to be a place for gear heads to bring performance parts to sell and buy. They stock clas-sic memorabilia of the 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s, Surf and Rock-a Billy Music, and Hot Rod movies, and books. They carry Hot Rod and Biker

apparel and classic logo T-shirts for historic Holley Car-buretors, Hooker Headers, Voodoo Cam shafts, Lakeside Speedway and Daredevil ap-parel, the famous Route 66 apparel, leather vests and jackets for both sexes and house-designed Jalopyz wear. Now is the time of year when holiday bills are due, and you still have all your other bills to pay, which likely means you’re short on cash. Why not take advantage of items that are sitting around your home collecting dust? “Gold is a very valuable commodity,” says Jeanne Leo, Vice President of Marketing at Golden Nugget Gold Buyers. “When the economy is weak and families are struggling to make ends meet, gold is a great way to generate some extra income.”

With nine locations around the Metro Denver area and one in Fort Collins, Golden Nugget Gold Buyers purchases most precious metals a consumer might have on hand. Whether it’s gold, silver and

platinum jewelry or silver tea sets, fl atware, candlesticks, or platters, they’ll buy it. They’ll purchase your unwanted jewelry, even if it’s broken. They also buy gold coins, as well as US currency – dimes, quarters, half dollars and dollars – minted before 1965.

Why come to Golden Nugget Gold Buyers to sell your gold and

other precious metals when, as Leo puts it, “Everybody and their brother seem to be in the gold buying business these days?” They’re not a phone store or a pawn shop. Their stores are safe, secure and very inviting, and this is all they do. As licensed professionals in the precious metals industry, they are experts in the fi eld. They

know the market prices and the true value of your precious metals. Not only are you certain of getting a fair deal, Leo assures you, “Sellers will get the best deal in Denver from us. We pay the highest you’ll fi nd.”

The process is extremely simple. Come in to one of their many stores with your items. Sit down with a

buyer who performs a three-step verifi cation of the value of your items. They weigh your items and make you an offer. Then it’s up to you whether you want to walk out with a check or not. No pressure. It’s that simple, and customer service is the focus.

You don’t even need to come into a store to earn extra money for your bills. They’ll help you set up a gold party in your home. “It’s like a Tupperware party,” explains Leo. “But tell your guests to leave the check book at home. They’ll take a check home instead.” And the best part is, the hostess gets a check on the spot for ten percent of the value of the gold purchased at the party, plus many other perks as well.

Golden Nugget Gold Buyers has nine conveniently located stores in the Metro area, including Arvada, Aurora, Centennial, Denver, Englewood, Lakewood and Littleton. For directions or to fi nd out more about hosting a gold party, call them at 303-425-GOLD or check them out online atwww.goldennuggetgoldbuyers.com.
