God’s Greatest Desire...

“How blessed is God! And what a blessing He is! He’s the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in Him. Long before He laid down earth’s foundations, He had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of His love, to be made whole and holy by His love. Long, long ago He decided to

adopt us into His family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure He took in planning this!) He wanted us to enter into the celebration of His lavish gift-giving by the hand of His beloved Son. Because of the sacrifice of the Messiah, His blood poured out on the altar of the Cross, we’re a free people- free of penalties and punishments chalked up by all our misdeeds. And not just barely free, either, Abundantly free! He thought of everything, provided for everything we could

possibly need, letting us in on the plans He took such delight in making. He set it all out before us in Christ, a long-range plan in which everything would be brought together and summed up in Him, everything in deepest heaven, everything on

planet earth. It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for.

Long before we first heard of Christ and

got our hopes up, He had His eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose He is working out in everything and everyone. It’s in Christ that you, once you heard the truth and believed it (this Message of your salvation), found yourselves home free- signed, sealed and delivered by the Holy Spirit. This Signet from God is the first instalment on what’s coming, a reminder that we’ll get everything God has planned for us, a praising and glorious life...” – Ephesians 1:3 – 14 Message Translation

God’s greatest desire is to be known by you... is for relationship with you even greater than you can imagine! On the level of intimacy God the Father has with God the Son Jesus Christ! He created you for this very purpose... He searches throughout the earth looking for someone whom He can show Himself strong on their behalf (2 Chronicles 16:9). He is looking for a receiver... someone who is not afraid to receive everything He has which is everything... would it not pain your heart if you had stuff to

give someone you loved ever so dearly, and they needed these things badly but they wouldn’t receive... now multiply that by the millions of people living sadly empty lives and by 2010 years after He made a way for everyone and you would begin to understand how the Lord feels... (There was even a route in to the Old Covenant with God for non-Jews, and it was their responsibility to publish this but they never understood His heart).

That great verse in Romans 8 says if He gave us Jesus Christ, His very best, how shall He not with Him freely give us all things... All things include everything you can possibly think of and imagine and more... not just spiritual... Jesus was a physical Person walking on the earth and His death was very physical indeed, and so was His glorious resurrection.

God is not against us having things, He is just against things having us! He knows if we are seeking these things diligently like the rest of the unbelieving world we would be vulnerable to the devil’s manipulation into darkness which is the primary message apostle Paul was trying to put across in saying the love of money is the root of all evil, which while some coveted after have pierced themselves through with many sorrows... It doesn’t matter how noble our need or cause is... we could be looking for money to do God’s work or feed a starving child, if we chase after meeting any need no matter how legitimate other than the need for a repaired and fully functioning relationship with God, we would be vulnerable... vulnerable to the enemy’s manipulations because he is the god of the world system... he will get you deeply into debt slavery and take you places that will make your moral principles shudder! But we are not of the world even though we are in the world glory to God... We are in Christ Jesus, inaccessible to the enemy if we continue abiding in Him and doing things His Way. You know, this is the primary reason God asks us to seek Him as our first and most vital necessity because He has already planned all these nice things for us, and wants to reveal them to us... primarily we cannot survive without Him...

Our great God desires a living fellowship with you... you are His child not a servant cowering with fear... You are a child of God, a situational position God-ward, the greatest in the universe, a joint-heir with Jesus Christ the Son, the first begotten of the brethren (Romans 8:17; Hebrews 1:6; Revelations 1:5). You didn’t get this position because of how good you think you have been, your best righteousness are like filthy rags before His holiness (Isaiah 64:6) which is why if you are to get on well

with Him you have to discard your `self-righteousness` or thank Him for your lack of it through your experiences in life, and accept His righteousness, His sacrifice, the precious blameless blood of His Son Jesus Christ so that now through this new and living way you can come boldly before the Throne of God as though you never even committed any offence and receive freely of His bounty (Hebrews 10:19 & 20)... receive freely the rich treasures of His grace because you need it... receive His wisdom , and renew your mind to His ways and thoughts (Romans 12:2) conforming no longer to the world’s way of doing things... In such case you will mount up your wings like an eagle and fly above all the debilitating circumstances men have found themselves in on the earth originating from the curse (Isaiah 40:31)... You will have the wisest Being in the universe as your personal coach, He would lead you into all truth by His Spirit (John 16:13 & 14)... This includes very practical things to do with your career, Business, Relationships, even fixing your hair!! ...I’m serious! ...in the absence of a physical father, He taught me how to shave properly...

You have direct access to the most Beautiful Being that ever existed... His favor would rub off on you and the necessary people would like you so much they just want to give to you, and you would just want to give to them because of His precious love living and abiding in your heart! Your quality of life would far outstrip anything you could have ever dreamed possible as you bask in His glory, and enjoy the rich treasures of His personality... The words `limited` and `Impossible` would no longer

exist in your heart dictionary as you would have direct access to His limitless resources He has laid up for you for so long, longing for you to receive... You will fear nothing and nobody because the One who is able to judge the living and the dead is your intimate confidante, and would defend and protect you against all comers (Psalm 91)... in fact He will so passionately defend you, you will have to beg Him to have mercy on your enemies which is what Moses did for the Israelites that rebelled... As you walk in covenant faithfulness and obedience with Him, He will become an enemy to your enemies and a friend to your friends... this is what He meant by He will bless those who bless you, and curse those who curse you or use insolent language towards you... in fact, the love of God would grow so much in your heart, you would spend your time interceding for the Lord to have mercy on these folks...

Durable riches and righteousness would be yours (Proverbs 8:18)... Durable according to the Noah Webster Dictionary means to last; hard. Having the quality of lasting or continuing long in being, without perishing or wearing out... Your financial well-being would not go up and down with the economy like a yo yo but you would enjoy a steady progressive increase in

your finances... why attempt to or even

think about choosing between riches and righteousness when God has given you both! As far as the Lord is concerned they go hand in hand... this was Solomon the richest man that ever lived writing this under inspiration of the Holy Spirit and he didn’t just have some spiritual riches... He asked for wisdom, and God said because of that I am going to give you everything else... all we need is wisdom folks, like a man of God always says “you don’t have a money problem, relationship problem, health problem, or any other problem for that matter other than a lack of wisdom problem”. God is not holding back from you... in actual fact, He will go to any lengths and has done just that to try and get us in on His game... to try and get us to see things His way, from His perspective (Isaiah 55:9)... we need to... this wisdom created all seen and unseen, and they operate based on this wisdom, and for you to interact successfully with the creation, you need this wisdom.
