TheofficialbirthdateofSalatigais24July750A.D.(the31stdateand4thyearoftheSakacalendar).ThescrollMonolithofPlumpungan(PrasastiPlumpunganinSanskrit)byKingBhanu,declaresMayyoubehappy!Allthepeople("Srir=astuswastiprajabhyah")anddesignatedvillageofHampran(DesaHampran)aPerdikanvillage(DesaPerdikan,meaningataxfreevillage).

"rirastuswastiPrajabyah"istheofficialmottoofSalatigaaswritteninthegovernmentseal.

On1July1917thevillageofSalatigawasdesignatedasastadsgemeenteorsmalltown,bytheDutchcolony.
