Each of today’s readings invites us to contem-
plate a different aspect of the great mystery we are cel-
ebrating: one God in three persons. The Book of Prov-
erbs reveals the power of the creator in nature and per-
sonifies the Creator as pure wisdom who affirms his
presence before and after his own creation. In the let-
ter to the Romans, Saint Paul reminds us that through
the gift of faith we have been introduced into the
world of grace and, thus, we have discovered through
Jesus Crist that even suffering can lead us to the glory
of God. Finally, Saint John’s Gospel places on the lips
of Jesus the promise of the Holy Spirit and affirms the
unity in love that the Father and the Son intimately
share. This communion of love is a Trinitarian com-
munity that we must all imitate as Church in our
homes and in our neighborhoods, always conscious
that Jesus leads us to the Father and that through the
Father and the Son we are embraced by the gift of the
Spirit, who from the moment of our baptism puts us
on the path of eternal life.
Rev. Juan J. Sosa
