3rd Sunday of Easter - May 5, 2019
Congratulations to our First Communion Candidates who
will receive the Lord’s Body and Blood for the very first time this weekend! Thank you to the parents and grandparents and families for saying, “yes” to leading your children to the Table of the Lord. We are a richer and fuller faith family as your children gather around the Table and receive the precious Body and Blood of Jesus. Thank you for all you do to raise your children in the ways of Jesus!
Congratulations, Boys and Girls!
The Annual Catholic Charities Appeal 2019 FOLLOW-UP APPEAL will be NEXT WEEKEND here at St. Mary. The FOLLOW-UP Appeal Funds will
be invested at Camp Christopher to create a camp without limits for campers with dis-abilities to experience God in nature. So many of us en-joyed our youth at summer camp and Camp Christopher
was THAT PLACE where we discovered crafts, swimming, canoeing and the natural beauty of God’s creation. NOW imagine THAT PLACE for campers with disabilities to enjoy the SAME camp experi-ence as others their age. Not only to play, craft, swim, canoe and make friends with other, but BEST OF ALL they can pray and experi-ence God in the natural beauty of their surroundings.
The FOLLOW-UP Appeal Funds will be used to OPEN THE DOOR to camp for more youth and adults with disabilities.
The $100,000 Challenge Grant doubles the Impact of Gifts Made this weekend with the MATCHING GIFT OFFER. All new, increased and additional gifts will be doubled!
There is a special Insert in today’s Bulletin. Share your blessings! Give to the FOLLOW-UP APPEAL next weekend.
ENVELOPES will be available in all the PEWS NEXT WEEKEND for your gift. THANK YOU!
Deacon Tom’s homework last week was to answer these two questions: “What has the Lord done in my life? How has my life changed since I started to live for Him?” Did you take the time this past week to reflect on and answer these questions? There’s still time: “What has the Lord done in my life? How has my life changed since I started to live for Him?”
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Deacon Tom! THANKS for your willing service and commitment to St. Mary!
THANKS for your generosity in the Sunday Collections. Your financial support is truly a gift! Peace!

FEED MY LAMBS
This weekend’s gospel reading from the last book of
John has Jesus revealing himself in a very familiar
way: inviting the fishing disciples to follow him. We
are all called in our own ways to be the hands and
feet of Jesus since he has returned to his kingdom.
With the gifts and talents and what we have col-
lected during our time on earth, we are here to
serve in our Lord’s name. The hymn, Pescador de
Hombres, which translates to Fisher of Men, has us
singing of Jesus’ calling us to the faith in action to
care for those who are vulnerable. If communion
goes for a long time, and we finish the English
verses, I will then sing some extra verses in Spanish.
I apologize for not including the lyrics to our hymn
of praise in last week’s bulletin! But we will be sing-
ing it after communion each weekend mass, so I will
continue to include the lyrics so that all can join in
with our hymn!
We worship and adore You,
Bowing down before You.
Songs of praises singing, Hallelujahs ringing.
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, Amen.
Choir Rehearsal Schedules: Traditional Choir re-
hearses on Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm. If you are
interested in participating in choir, cantoring, or
playing an instrument during mass, please call or see
Mrs. Angela Kovic after mass up in the loft. The Mu-
sic Ministry office number is 440.243.3877 ext 27.

We are happy to announce that Martin Dober has petitioned and been called by The Most Reverend Nelson J. Perez for Priesthood Ordi-nation. It is the responsibility of the Church to present to the bishop suit-able candidates for ordination. It is the bishop’s responsibility to weigh the recommendations of those in charge of formation as well as the larger Church community. Through this notice the members of St. Mary Parish are given the opportunity to offer their personal input on the suitability of this candidate for or-dination either directly to the bishop or to me as Pastor of the Par-ish. Your relationship to this man during his years of formation gives your input a special importance. We ask your prayerful support dur-ing these final days of discernment and preparation. St. Mary Catholic School News Corner Educating the Mind, Nurturing the Soul
Mr. Andrew J. Carner, Principal On April 9th our 6th grade students had a
wonderful lesson taught by P.J. Ziegler, Fox 8
Sports Newscaster. He retaught students how to hook read-
ers by creating engaging introductions and conclusions
when writing. Students visualized themselves as newscast-
ers and determined whether or not their rough drafts would
engage audiences at home, or if they would click to the next
station. In the end, all of the students had motivated the
class to read their writing passage, which were detailed
stories about their morning.
Congratulations to all of our Second Grade students,
who received their First Holy Communion this Sunday.
Mrs. Giblin has spent much of this year preparing the chil-
dren for this Sacrament.
Mrs. Giblin, Fr. John, and Mr. Carner would like to thank
you, our good and responsible Catholic parents who care
about this important spiritual event in your child’s life. The
way you all helped by embracing the important faith forma-
tion events leading up to this special day was commendable
and we thank you for your support in your child’s spiritual
growth.
