FRIDAYS DURING GREAT LENT
On Fridays during lent, we will be celebrating the
benediction and Stations of the Cross at 6:30 PM
followed by a potluck dinner and a movie at the
MCC. Please bring your favorite Lenten dish to
share. The movie on Friday, March 11, is the first
part of the life of Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
PRAYER INTENTION FOR LENT
During the season of Great Lent, we will share a
prayer intention each week and be united as a com-
munity in our prayers. The prayer intention for this
week is for Peace and an end to violence .
40 DAYS OF MERCY
During the season of Great Lent, we will be having
a food, clothing/shoes, and baby product drive.
Each week of Lent, we invite you to remove one or
more items from your closet that you no longer
wear or need and put it in a bag. When you’re at
the grocery store, buy one extra canned or non-
perishable food item and put it on the side. On
Sunday, bring these items to the church and drop
them in the marked containers in the church foyer.
Throughout the season of Great Lent, we will
donate these items to local charities and families
that can really use them.
ANNUAL LENTEN APPEAL
The Annual Lenten Appeal for the Eparchy of Our
Lady of Lebanon is now taking place. A copy of a
letter from Bishop Elias Zaidan was sent to every
family in the mail, together with a special gift. The
Eparchy relies upon you to support our Maronite
parishes, like this one, and train our future Maro-
nite priests. Every family is asked to participate in
the Appeal at a level which is meaningful for them
and be generous. You can make your donation
with a check or credit card. Our parish’s goal for
this year’s Appeal is $11,000.00. Please be gener-
ous and support your Eparchy. Thank you.
GROUNDS & MAINTENANCE
Thanks to the Grounds & Maintenance committee,
along with 20 other volunteers who made a vast
improvement on the Big Hall. They cleaned,
painted, repaired and did much more. The up-
grades were long overdue. What a difference it
made. More importantly, it was a wonderful dis-
play of mercy for Lent. On Saturday, March 12 at
9:30 AM, the committee will be hard at work
power washing and dressing up the Church entry.
Contact Larry Monsour at 210-651-4543 if you are
able to help.
BISHOP ZAIDAN VISIT
On Sunday April 3, 2016. Bishop Elias Zaidan will

Mercy. The celebration begins with the Divine Lit-
urgy at 11:00 AM followed by lunch and program
in the large hall. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE
WILL BE NO 8:00 AM LITURGY THAT
DAY. Please make your reservation for the lunch

[email protected] and after all weekend litur-
gies starting Saturday March 12, 2016. There will
