    Competitions held

    A Union Budget Presentation Competition was organized for MBA students on 5th

    March, 2008. The judge was Noted Economist and Joint Director of Gokhale Institute of

    Economics and Politics, DrRajas Parchure.

    Biz Quiz 08 - 23rd August.2008 - A business quiz was organised for the students ofMBA(G) on 23rd August. There were three teams comprising of four students each,

    representing the three divisions A, B & C of the MBA (Gen) course. These teams were

    named Young Turks, Path - Breakers and Crusaders respectively. The Path - Breakers

    won.

    BookReview competition was held on 30th August 08 for MBA (Gen) students. SrijataSaha & Suvercha reviewed The Monk who sold his Ferrari & won the competition.

    A Group Discussion was arranged on "Mumbai under Siege" There were two groups. The

    topics were:

    a) Causes and Consequences of the Terrorist Attacks in Mumbai

    b) Inadequacies of Political and Defense Mechanism of India.

    CONTINUED..On 25/3/2009 IMED had organized, Intercollegiate Paper Presentation

    Competition on the theme 'Corporate Social Responsibility and Ethical Issues in

    Business'.

    'Ojas' is the Sanskrit word which means "Energy". This is the event to show the

    talent of staging. Ojas is conducted every year, through which participants show

    their talent in Paper Presentation. In 2008 it was conducted on 4th October. 12

    teams from different colleges participate in this event. Winning Topics of paper

    presentation were Bluetooth Technology, Nano Technology, Cloud Computing

    and Web Semantics.

    STUDENTS ACHIVEMENTSPrakash Kumar and Prabhat Kumar won the 1st prize in paper presentationcompetition. Their topic was 'Cloud Computing'.

    Prakash Kumar & Prabhat Kumar (II year) and Utsav Agarwal (I year) &Sandeep Kishore participated in 'Teachzeal' 09 held at 'Indira Institute Of

    Management' on 13th and 14th Feb 2009. Their topics of Paper Presentationwere 'WEB 2.0 and beyond' and 'Wireless Security' respectively.

    A team of 5 students Anshul Saxena, Prakash Kumar, Rohit Mahendroo,Rajiv Koiri and Sandeep Kumar participated in a competition held at NITTrichy. Ansul Saxena and Rohit Mahendroo stood 1st in paper presentation

    competition. Their topic was 'AGILE COMPUTING' and the team stood 4thamong 32 colleges.

    A team of 5 students Rajiv Koiri, Sandeep Kumar, Utsav Agarwal, RichaMendiratta and Pardeep Dhingra participated in a 2 day event TECHTORNADO 2009 held at SNDT Mumbai on, 28th Feb and 1st March 2009. It

    was a national level competition which was organized by ACM. Sandeep andRicha got 2nd prize in paper presentation with their topic 'Tempest and

    A team of students comprising Nitin Gupta, MBA(IT), Akhil Garg

    MBA(BA) and Prasad Bhalerao MBA(BT) won the first prize in "Business

    Proposal Competition" organised by M.I.T. Business School in March 2008.

    Students of IMED participated in the competition organized by International

    School of Business & Media. The Group of Saurabh Jhori, Vaishali, Gunjan

    Gupta, Ira Gulia, Mithilesh Malani, Akshit Varma and Abhishek Kumar won

    the second prize in Shadow Dancing.
