Nach dir, Herr, verlanget mich, BWV 150 Sinfonia Coro: Nach dir, Herr, verlanget mich Lord, I long for you. My God, I hope in you Let me not be put to shame, so that my

enemies will not rejoice over me. Aria: Doch bin und bleibe ich vergnügt Yet I am and remain content, although at the moment here may rage cross, storm and other trials, Death, H ell, and what is theirs. Though misfortune strike the true servant, Right is and remains eternally right. Coro: Leite mich in deiner Wahrheit Lead me in your Truth and teach me; for you are the God, who helps me, I await you daily. Aria: Zedern müssen von den Winden Cedars must, before the winds, often feel much hardship, often they will be destroyed. Place your words and deeds before God, Heed not what howls against you, Since his Word teaches otherwise. Coro: Meine Augen sehen stets zu dem Herrn My eyes gaze continually at the Lord; For he will draw my foot out of the net.

Coro: Meine Tage in dem Leide My days in suffering God will nevertheless end in joy; Christians upon the thorny pathways are led by Heaven’s power and blessing. If God remains my dearest treasure, I need not heed mankind’s cruelty; Christ, who stands by our side, Helps me daily fight to victory.

Der Geist Hilft, BWV 226 Coro The Spirit gives aid to our weakness. For we do not know for what we should pray, what is proper; but the Spirit itself intercedes for us in the best way with unutterable sighs. He, however, who examines hearts, He knows what the Spirit’s intention is, since it intercedes for the saints according to that which pleases God. Chorale You holy fire, sweet comfort, now help us joyfully and confidently to remain constantly in Your service, although trouble is not driven away from us! O Lord, through Your strength prepare us and sharpen the dullness of the flesh, so that we might battle here nobly, pressing to you through death and life. Hallelujah, hallelujah!

Komm, Jesu Komm, BWV 229 Chorus Come, Jesus, come, my body is weary, my strength wanes more and more, I long for Your peace; the sour path becomes too difficult for me! Come, come, I will yield myself to You, You are the true path, truth and life. Aria Therefore I enclose myself in Your Hands and say goodnight to you, world! Even though my lifetime rushes to its end, my spirit is nevertheless prepared. It shall soar with its Savior, since Jesus is and remains the true path to life. O Lamm Gottes Unschuldig, BWV 656Matthew Phelps, organ

Weichet nur, betrübte Schatten, BWV 202 Aria: Weichet nur, betrübte Schatten Dissipate, you troublesome shadows, frost and winds, go to your rest! Flora’s pleasures the heart will never exchange as joyful delight, since she brings flowers with her. Recitative: Die Welt wird wieder neu The world becomes new again, on the mountains and in the valleys the loveliness clings with doubled beauty, the day is free from any chill. Aria: Phoebus eilt mit schnellen Pferden Phoebus hastes with rapid horses through the newly-born world, indeed, since it pleases him, he himself will become a lover. Recitative: Drum sucht auch Amor sein Vergnügen Therefore Love himself seeks his pleasure, when crimson laughs in the fields, when Flora’s magnificence glories, and when in his kingdom, just like the beautiful blossoms, hearts make a fiery triumph as well. Aria: Wenn die Frühlingslüfte streichen When the springtime breezes caress and waft through colorful meadows, Love will often slip abroad to seek after his treasure, which, it is believed, is this: that one heart kisses another. Recitative: Und dieses ist das Glücke And this is happiness, that through highly favorable fortune two souls achieve such a treasure, around which much worth and blessing shines. Aria: Sich üben im Lieben To be accustomed, in love, to cuddle in playful tenderness is better than Flora’s fading delights.

Here the waves swell, here on lip and breast the triumphal palms smile and wave. Recitative: So sei das Band der keuschen Liebe So may the bond of chaste love, committed pair, be free from the inconstancy of change! May no sudden fall or thunder crack disturb your amorous desires! Aria: Sehet in Zufriedenheit May you behold in contentment a thousand bright happy days, so that soon in the coming time your love may bear fruit!Lindsay Cunningham, sopranoLindsey Reymore, oboeIsabelle Wong, violinElisabeth Small, violinSarah Cote, violaPhillip Kettler, celloAndrew Risinger, harpsichord

Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen, BWV 51 Aria: Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen Exult in God in every land! Whatever creatures are contained by heaven and earth must raise up this praise, and now we shall likewise bring an offering to our God, since He has stood with us at all times during suffering and necessity. Recitative: Wir beten zu dem Tempel an We pray at your temple, where God’s honor dwells, where this faithfulness, daily renewed, is rewarded with pure blessing. We praise what He has done for us. Even though our weak mouth must gape before His wonders, our meager praise is still pleasing to Him. Aria: Höchster, mache deine Güte Highest, renew Your goodness every morning from now on. Thus, before this fatherly love, a thankful conscience shall display, though a virtuous life, that we are called Your children. Chorale: Sei Lob und Preis mit Ehren Glory, and praise with honor

be to God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit! He will increase in us what He has promised us out of grace, so that we trust fast in Him, abandon ourselves completely to Him, rely on Him within our hearts, so that our heart, will, and mind depend strongly on Him; therefore we sing at this time: Amen, we shall succeed, if we believe from the depths of our hearts.
