Bulletin Column for the Twenty-Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time With faith comes freedom. Jesus teaches us that if we only believe, anything is possible. Faith,

which is a free gift of God, gives us the strength of our convictions. With faith come power, love, and self-

control because faith frees us from ourselves and allows us to give ourselves entirely over to God’s loving

care. In the eyes of the world, faith is seen as a small thing, but in the eyes of God and of those who believe,

faith can move mountains.

God bless you all,

Fr. Guy

Inspirational quote of the Week

“The world offers you comfort, but you were not made for comfort. You were made for greatness.” Pope Benedict XVI

Religious Education Registration Reminder

CCD begins in October!

Registration for the Holy Family’s Religious Education for Grades 1—10 is going on now. Regis-tration forms may be found on the tables at both entrances to the church. Please note that both our First Holy Communion and Confirmation Preparation are two-year programs. Catholic School children in grades 2, 9 , and 10 must also register with the Holy Family Cent4er for the reception of their Sacraments. For more information, please call the Religious Education Office @ 617– 567-6509. The residents of Meridian House will put on a Bake Sale after all the Masses on Saturday October 12th after the 4:00p.m. Mass and on Sunday October 13th after the 8:30 and 10:00a.m. Masses. Proceeds from the bake sales go into their recreation fund which is used in a variety of ways, for example, it funded them to go to the International Conference of Young People in AA, and to put money on the house Charlie Card. Meridian House has always been very generous to Sacred Heart Parish in offering their time when we needed them for some of our events. Not only are we helping this fine organization but we are also making sure that young people on the road to recov-ery know they have our help and support. Please be as generous as you can. Thank you, Fr. Guy

Prayer to Saint Michael:

Saint Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle, be

our defense against the wickedness and snares of the

devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do

thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of

God, thrust into Hell Satan and the other evil spirits

who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Preghiera a San Michele:

San Michele Arcangelo, difendici nella battaglia; sii tu nostro sostegno contro la perfidia e le insidie del diavolo; che Dio eserciti il suo dominio su di lui, te ne preghiamo supplichevoli; e tu, o Principe della milizia celeste, con la potenza divina, ricaccia nell'inferno satana e gli altri spiriti maligni i quali errano nel mondo per perdere le anime. AMEN.
