THE GALLERY
The Duke of York’s HQ offers an ideal environment to viewcontemporary art in very large, beautifully proportioned
rooms with high ceilings. The Gallery occupies the entire70,000 sq ft building, providing 15 gallery spaces, a
bookshop, education rooms, a café/bar/restaurant, andfacilities for all forms of corporate entertaining.
The Saatchi Gallery attracts an international audience.Over one and a quarter million people visit the Gallery andover 2,000 schools organise group visits for their students
per year.
The Gallery audience is 90% ABC1. Approximately 50% isbetween 18 and 34, 25% is over 34 and 25% is under 18.

In May 2006 the Saatchi Gallery launched Saatchi Online as a way togive artists not represented by galleries a digital platform to show theirwork to a global audience. It is now the leading art gallery website in
the world. So far, 180,000 artists and art students from nearly 100countries worldwide have uploaded their work and profiles on to the
site. Over 3,300 of the world’s museums list their collection highlightsand exhibition programmes. 2,900 of the world’s leading universities
and art colleges display their prospectuses, student artwork andinformation. Over 10,800 galleries and art dealers have also uploaded
their profiles.
Saatchi Online runs a regular online competition where artists canshowcase their work and go head-to-head with other artists, giving thewinner a chance to display their work at the Saatchi Gallery in London.

SAATCHI GALLERY / SUNDAY TELEGRAPHART PRIZE FOR SCHOOLS
In response to the enthusiasm for the Gallery shown by young people,the Saatchi Gallery launched the Art Prize for Schools, sponsored byWinsor & Newton in 2004. The inaugural competition was open to all UKschools and received national media coverage, including an interviewwith the winner on BBC News.
The Saatchi Gallery/ Sunday Telegraph Art Prize for Schools waslaunched in 2009 for pupils between the age of 4-18. Shortlisted schoolsare invited to send works by their pupils and a panel of judges selectthree winning pupils for prizes worth a total of £24,000 and theopportunity to be exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery. Since its inception, theSaatchi Gallery/ Sunday Telegraph Art Prize has received over 60,000entries from around the world. Notable judges to date have included theartists Marc Quinn, Yinka Shonibare, Antony Gormley and Peter Blake,the photographer Mary McCartney and Andrew Graham-Dixon, chief artcritic of the Sunday Telegraph.
The 2011 Saatchi Gallery / Sunday Telegraph Art Prize for Schools firstprize winner received £2,000 and her school’s art department wasawarded £10,000 to spend on art and computer equipment. The tworunners-up were given £1,000, and their schools received £5,000 each.
Teachers’ Evening at the Saatchi Gallery
EDUCATION INITIATIVES
The Saatchi Gallery is specifically geared towards introducing ayounger audience of art students and enthusiasts to see work at thecutting edge of contemporary art. Students have the opportunity to
experience artists’ work which they would otherwise only see asreproductions in art magazines and text books.
The Saatchi Gallery has attracted over 2,000 school groups a yearfrom throughout the UK and abroad with an average group size of 50
students. The Saatchi Gallery’s collection has become a popularreference for teachers and pupils working on themes in the NationalCurriculum relating to contemporary art. Of the schools that visit the
Gallery the majority make repeat visits.
We would like even more children to come and see the Saatchi Galleryas part of an educational school group visit, and take advantage of the
educational facilities available at the Gallery.
The Gallery is able to offer schools Guided Tours, Art Workshops,Education Packs, Teachers’ Evenings and Schools’ Outreach.
There are ongoing opportunities for Corporate Sponsors to becomeinvolved with the Gallery’s education programme.
The New Sensations Prize was founded by the SaatchiGallery and Channel 4 in 2007 in order to find the mostimaginative and talented artists graduating in the UK,support students leaving art college and bring their workto a wider international audience.
As part of the prize an exhibition of 20 shortlistedgraduates is held in October each year to coincide withFrieze Art Fair.
Four finalists each receive a bursary to make new work,which become the subject of a “New Sensation” shortChannel 4 film, attracting over four million viewers.

Exhibition Sponsors, Partners and Patrons will have their logofeatured under the exhibition title in the Gallery foyer, on
billboards, all related adverts, exhibition posters which aredistributed to all UK schools and colleges and displayed
throughout London, Private View and Press View invitations, onthe exhibition’s page of the Gallery website with a link to the
sponsor’s own website, in exhibition guides and Gallery exhibition catalogues.
Artworks by over 100 artists from the Saatchi Gallery’s collectionare available for loan to companies and organisations. Paintings,sculptures and photographs by cutting-edge young artists as well
as established household names are available on request.
Corporate Partners can borrow works for a period of 1 year as part of their benefits.
Alternatively, companies who are not Corporate Partners canborrow artwork for a period of 1 year for a fee.
