WHERE DO WE BEGIN?

• The problem for a breast cancer patient, so anxiously waiting to become a lifetime survivor, is simple: How do I get there? Give me resources to do so. Pair me up with the others that have walked the walk.

THE PROBLEM

• The problem is not treating the whole person. Many support groups have the general idea, but they don’t look into the emotional state of the patient. They treat the physical symptoms. They need to address the problem of healing from the inside out.

THE PROBLEM GOES ON

• This problem exists because we as a community do not have enough support groups that think, outside of the box. Outside of the box is defined as being able to utilize adjunct therapy. Therapy like this is used to heal through different forms of art, music, laughing, smiling, and friendship. This has proven to be an effective therapy in addition to traditional treatments. Depression is one of those things we tend to sweep under the rug.

ARE THE EFFECTS WORSE THAN THE CURE?

• We need the funding to bring it out to the forefront. Let others know the problem is beyond what traditional support groups offer.

• What happens as a result of going through with or without adjunct therapy?

• The problem is that we do not bring these types of therapy to the main stage. Maybe identifying the problem would allow you to solve the issues related to treatments, and their effects on the breast cancer patient.

• The chemo and radiation treatments can prove problematic, and maybe its effects are worse than the cure.

GOAL

• My goal for this grant proposal is to heal women from the inside out, while embarking on the breast cancer journey.

Breast cancer is a family affair

• Last but not least, is family, friends, and support members of this group. Breast cancer effects the whole family. It effects the whole (support) network in your life.

Now we begin to Sing, and Heal….

OBJECTIVES

• Identify how many possible breast cancer patients will join the music and healing group through out the Phoenix area.

• Methods to carry out this project.• BUDGET will be given out, in a 2nd document
