Introduction The Therapeutic Wrap has been performed around the world since ancient times. It has many uses such as for decreasing arthritis symptoms as well as general aches and pains, conditioning and tightening the skin, which helps with the appearance of inch loss and overall body detoxification.

Not only is this eBook about the effective use of the body wrap for permanent inch loss, but it is also a reference for a maintaining a healthy body that will fully support your weight loss efforts.

I will explain the history of body wrapping, as well as the entire process – including recipes that will help you accomplish your goals. Lifestyle factors are detailed in this book to help you make adjustments in your life that will help support your goal of a healthier, fitter body.

Since the release of this book, I have reached out to many customers outside of the United States. This has created a need for me to provide resources for my international customers so that they are able to find ingredients and other recommended products. This information has been added to the resource section.

As a bonus report I have included a new formula that is similar to the tightening gels and skin firming lotions out on the market. This gel is easy and inexpensive to create. It is applied to spot areas to help shrink fat away. The formula includes an amazingly common and inexpensive ingredient known as a fat emulsifier. Combined with a couple of other ingredients, this fat emulsifier helps to actually flush fat right out of the targeted area. This gel is safe and the only stipulation is that you must use it on one area at a time. This area can be the stomach, thighs, arms, legs, hips or buttocks.

I also include ways to MAXIMIZE your results with body wraps. I stumbled upon these four secrets while investigating the most effective ingredients for producing body wrap formulas. Most importantly, they increase the amount of inches and fat you will lose!

You will get the results you desire in a couple of hours and save a HUGE amount of money compared to body wraps at the spa.

After utilizing these techniques, you will be able to do your own body wraps at home and also perform them on others (for a fee, of course!).

Most importantly, you will begin to have the body you’ve always dreamed of!

So let’s begin…

History of Body Wraps Body wraps have been used for centuries. The Ancient Egyptians used them to beautify the skin, heal the body, and soothe the spirit. Their wrapping process has been studied and attempts have been made by scientists and archeologists to try to copy their process of mummification for years.

But the Egyptians aren’t the only ones to use a wrapping process for healing. In Greece, Rome, India, China and Japan there have been various wraps that have been used for a variety of ailments.

To this day, in Western society, we use gauze and bandages for sprains, cuts, bruises, etc…

Spas provide body wraps for beautification skin conditioning purposes. Hundreds of thousands of people get body wraps everyday at these spas.

After reading this book you will be equipped with the knowledge of creating these beutifying, weight loss, detox wraps yourself. You will be able to maximize the results by setting an environment for your body to respond to your body wrap by applying the health approaches described in this book.

The Skin

Now, let’s learn about the skin…

The skin is the largest living, breathing organ of the body. It acts as an interface between the internal and external environments.

It consists of the epidermis, dermis and the hypodermis. The major functions of the skin are:

Protection - The skin serves as a barrier that prevents microorganisms and other substances from entering the body.

Body Temperature Regulation - Considerable heat is lost through the skin. Even under conditions of high temperature or exercise, the body temperature remains almost normal.

Excretion - The evaporation of perspiration acts to cool the skin. In addition, small amounts of waste product and salt leave the body through sweat.

Sensation - Nerve endings in the skin provide the body with a great deal of information about the outside environment

Vitamin D Production - In the presence of sunlight or ultraviolet radiation, a substance in the skin is altered to produce vitamin D3, necessary for the absorption of calcium and phosphate from food.

Below is an image that will help you understand where each layer of skin is located.

The epidermis is the surface layer, the layer that we see. It serves us as the protective layer.

The dermis is the middle layer that contains the glands and the connective tissues. This layer helps complete the absorption process by carrying whatever is placed on the epidermis to the deepest part of the skin and throughout the body.

The hypodermis contains the adipose tissues or fat layer. This is the layer that contains your fat cells.

Now that you have some knowledge about what the skin’s functions are, it will help you apply the information that you learn later in the book.

Lifestyle Factors Your lifestyle affects the overall health of your body.

When I read some of the materials from “The School of Natural Healing” and Dr Christopher’s work there was one principle that stood out. This principle is the reason why Dr Christopher considered himself a “Vitalist”.

“Any protocol used to help the body heal a specific system or ailment should contain the 3 main components: Detoxification, Building, and Nourishing”

A protocol can contain all 3 components, 2 components, or just focus on one. However, these components are essential to health. This is actually what your body does to a certain extent on its own, each day.

Our lifestyle can either support it or hinder it.

These 3 main components must be included in a good body wrap formula. Before we discuss these components, let’s take a look at how our body works to get the complete picture.

8

Page 9: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Body Systems The health of your body depends on your 5 main health systems:

1. Digestive

2. Intestinal

3. Circulatory

4. Respiratory

5. Immune

Each system is vitally important to it’s self as well as affecting each other. They all must be working properly in order to sustain health.

Let’s take a brief look at these systems:

Digestive

In a nutshell, the digestive system is for breaking down food to fuel the body and to make the nutrients contained in the food available to the whole body.

Intestinal

This system collects waste products from the body and excretes them from the body.

Circulatory

This system is the body’s transportation system. It takes food, oxygen, and water to every organ of the body through the blood vessels.

Respiratory

The respiratory system supplies oxygen helping the body to produce energy.

Immune

This system is the alarm for the body. It signals the brain to activate a response when any invading organisms such as bacteria viruses and any other foreign invaders creep in.

9

Page 10: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Your Health Profile Getting a complete picture of your health and pin-pointing the body system that can use support or strengthening will help you create the optimum environment for your body to respond to any weight reduction plan.

This isn’t always easy to figure out however, and even if you know your body fairly well; you may want to visit a naturopath for assistance.

Detoxification

We have taken a look at the main body systems and the role that each one plays. To ensure that each system is running smoothly we have to make sure there is nothing blocking the path. The best way to do this is to assist the body in its normal function of detoxification.

You see, our bodies are just like a car in a sense, when the carburetor or engine is clogged, the performance is not optimal. We need to clean it periodically to keep it in optimal condition. Natural therapies help by supporting the body with herbs, diet, supplements and other protocols.

Health & Wellness – The Missing Key

Detoxification is something our bodies do on a daily basis. It is the process of eliminating toxins through the five eliminatory channels:

1. Liver

2. Colon

3. Lungs

4. Kidneys

5. Lymph

6. Skin

In the world we live in today, with polluted water, air and food, our bodies regularly get overloaded with substances that do not support our body - toxins! Our bodies become overloaded and are over-burdened with eliminating toxins, and over time, many of these toxins begin to build up in our bodies.

Surrounding these substances with mucous and fat is one way our system tries to shield us from these invading substances. A good portion is stored in our fat deposits!

A detoxification program is a good way of assisting our body to eliminate and neutralize these harmful toxins.

There is an excellent detoxification course available that was created by nutritional expert Dr. Janet Hull.

Now, let us look at the 5 organs for detoxification:

10

Page 11: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Liver

The liver is the largest internal organ in the body and plays a crucial role in maintaining normal metabolism and detoxifying the body.

11

Page 12: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Colon

Disease begins in the colon. The colon is responsible for both carrying waste out of the body, and nourishing the body. Nutrients are absorbed in the colon. So if your body is storing toxins and excess mucous they will be stuck to the intestinal walls of the colon, making it very hard for your body to absorb the required nutrients and eliminate the wastes traveling through the colon.

12

Page 13: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Lungs

Your lungs are responsible for helping your body get the required oxygen it needs by processing the air we breathe. The lungs are one of the first organs to intake toxins. A cold is usually a sign that your body is trying to rid itself of toxins and waste matter that has built up to the point of overwhelming your immune system.

13

Page 14: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Kidneys

In addition to the liver, the kidneys play an important role as a filter for the body. Water is vital to helping the kidneys do their job. The average person eliminates approximately 5 pints of water a day, which is one of the many reasons why adequate water intake is essential.

14

Page 15: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Lymph

The lymphatic system carries a clear fluid, which contains excess proteins, wastes, and other elements. This fluid is called lymph fluid and surrounds the cells of our body to bring them nourishment and carry wastes out of the body.

Unlike the blood, the lymph does not have the heart to pump it through the body. It must rely on the movement of the body and stimulation.

15

Page 16: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Skin

As mentioned earlier, the skin is the largest organ of the body.

Page 17: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Benefits of Detoxification There are several benefits of detoxification:

• End your cravings for habit-forming substances such as sugar, caffeine, nicotine, alcohol and drugs.

• Increase your energy by removing toxins that wear you down.

• Shrink your stomach to its normal size, making it easier to control the quantity of food eaten.

• Boost your mental clarity by flushing away chemicals, food additives and preservatives.

• Break your bad eating habits to achieve or maintain your desired weight.

• Lose weight. A detox program is the first step to safe and effective weight loss.

• Cleanse your digestive tract of accumulated waste and bacteria.

• Purify all your major organs allowing you to function at your best.

• Reduce cellulite, allergies, acne and obesity safely and naturally.

What is a good Detoxification program?

A Good Detoxification program should be designed to help the body cleanse itself of toxins, mucus, and waste materials in the intestinal tract and liver, kidneys and blood, thus help your body function more efficiently. This not only restores new energy to your vital organs, but to the entire body as well. There is an excellent detoxification course available that was created by nutritional expert Dr. Janet Hull.

Why should I detoxify my body?

Detoxification is the safest and most natural way to improve your health, boost your immune system and increase energy levels. It is also the best starting point for anyone who wants to lose weight.

Who should detoxify?

Detoxification is for everyone. Whether you are overweight, underweight or at your ideal weight, the detoxification process and the flushing of toxins out of your body is the simplest way to begin to rebuild your body’s natural defenses.

Page 18: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Signs of the Need of Detoxification

If you have been experiencing any of the following symptoms, you may be in need of body detoxification:

• Bad breath

• Indigestion

• Constipation

• Diarrhea

• Heart burn

• ADD/ADHD

• Candida

• Excessive gas

• Yeast infections

• Headache

• Psoriasis

• Food/chemical allergies

• Cold sores

• Eczema

• Colitis/IBS

• Bloating

• Acne

• Autoimmune diseases

• Parasites

• Colon/rectal cancer

• Weight gain

• Weight loss

Healing Crisis

During the detoxification process you may not feel like yourself. This is referred to as a healing crisis. The healing crisis will pass and you will begin to feel wonderful as the toxins are eliminated from your body.

This healing response is a natural part of the body’s return to a balanced healthy state, and should be welcomed. As metabolic wastes and toxic residues are released from the tissues where they were being stored, they re-enter the body’s fluids and then into the lymphatic system. The body’s detoxification processes is triggered by this sudden release of toxic materials in the system, precisely those materials the body was having trouble eliminating. You may experience flu-like symptoms – muscle soreness, aching joints, headache, nausea, lethargy, depression, fevers, chills, coughs, mental irritability, etc.

To aid the body in detoxification you should rest, drink lots of fluids, and take a hot therapeutic bath to promote the elimination of these toxins. Another option is to drink peppermint tea. Usually, all of the unpleasant symptoms will disappear within a few days.

Page 19: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Helpful Considerations Nutrition plays a key role in the health and vitality of the skin. Whether your skin is “fit” or not, depends on your overall health. It can be sometimes be used as the thermostat or gauge of your body’s optimum performance.

Release Fat

One of the organs that are responsible for helping the body release and metabolize fat is the liver. If this organ is not functioning optimally fat metabolism is impaired. The liver is the body’s filtering system. When the liver’s function is impaired, fat, waste matter, and toxins can get backed up in the body. These elements can accumulate in the body in places such as the hips, waist, stomach and thighs.

The lungs are also important in the metabolism of fat. The lungs are responsible for oxygen supplied to the blood. Oxygen helps to oxidize AND BURN FAT!!

Improved Circulation

Exercising helps keep your body’s circulatory system working properly. Good circulation is one of the key factors to absorbing your body wrap formula. It also increases oxygen in the body, which helps to burn fat and toxins in the system.

Cardiovascular exercise is one of the best ways to help improve your body’s circulation. For most people, a daily walk will suffice.

19

Page 20: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Resistance Training One client stated: “For years I had an extreme aversion to resistance training. These were some of my beliefs:” I’ve had a lot of female patients all say these same exact things to me and it really could be further from the truth!!

• It’s for men

• It will make me bulk up

• It’s too hard

• It’s not good for a woman

• It’s boring!

• It doesn’t burn fat, cardio does.

I’m sure you can add a few of your own beliefs of resistance training to this list.

The truth of the matter is that resistance training plays an important role in your overall health no matter you’re your age or current level of fitness. I have 84 year old Grandmothers who do my resistance training programs. It truly is an optimal health choice and one that will pay you dividends for your health and weight loss! Don’t be intimidated to try!

Within the past year, I have experienced a number of benefits to resistance training that should not be overlooked.

I am approaching my mid 30’s and I have noticed that it has become easier for me to gain weight since I have turned 30… Let’s face it, although in my twenties my weight fluctuated a few times. My weight has been as high as 190 pounds on a 5’7 frame. But I didn’t have too hard of a time losing the weight. In my thirties it seems a little harder. I don’t even want to think about the 40’s and 50’s…

I’ve had clients tell me that the weight machines at the gym always intimidated them so they finally bit the bullet and consulted a trainer to teach them how to properly perform some of the most effective full body resistance exercises. In addition to the training sessions they also studied a my resistance manuals and exercise training found in www.fatlossfactor.com or on www.cellulitefactor.com/customize.php .

Diet & Food We have all heard that our diet is very important, so I am going to cover this briefly by mentioning some of the things that I have done that have helped me immensely. Your diet gives you a firm foundation to any reduction program. It is extremely important to have a body that is functioning properly, and your diet plays a major role-perhaps the largest role of any single factor when it comes to losing weight and improving your health.

There is tons of information on the web, in the bookstores, on video, etc…. concerning diet.

Fasting Over the years I have benefited tremendously by juice fasting. Juice fasting helps your body concentrate on cleansing by giving digestion a rest. When you are eating your body is processing food and cleansing at the same time. When you fast the body utilizes more energy cleansing. Using juices helps to keep your glucose levels high and nourishes the body with nutrients. The body uses very little energy to break down the juices and still gets some nutrients.

Some of the benefits that I have noticed were:

Improved food digestion and assimilation

Improved my weight loss diet

Took the desire for “junk food” away

Clearer skin

No more sinus problems!!

Increased energy

Better sleep

Decreased appetite

Clearer thinking

Better concentration

I am not here to tell you how to fast or tell you that everyone should fast. However, if you are interested in juice fasting, I suggest that you educate yourself first.

There are several books that I highly recommend. Their titles are listed in the resource section of this book. If you have any medical problems, work a highly stressful job, or can’t fast, there are “light diets” that are highly beneficial too.

I personally have fasted for up to 10 days on juices and experienced benefits too numerous to name. I regularly fast when I not feeling well and during the change of seasons for up to 5 days.

Enzymes What Are Enzymes?

Enzymes are living catalysts found in every part of the body and involved in every chemical reaction. Enzymes digest food, making it small enough to pass through the intestinal walls to the blood and then throughout the body. Enzymes eliminate toxins from the body. Enzymes nourish the body with minerals and vitamins. Without enzymes, minerals and vitamins lay useless in the body or pass through without being used. Enzymes make up every aspect of the immune system. White blood cells are merely trucks transporting enzymes that actually do all the work of healing the body and preventing disease. Every function of the body is dependent upon enzymes, including breathing, seeing, hearing, and thinking.

Taking an enzyme supplement is very beneficial. They help to break down and digest carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. Studies suggest that people (especially Americans) are not eating enough foods rich in enzymes. If you are eating a processed food diet or do not eat a sufficient amount of raw fruits and vegetables, then your body has to use its reserves of enzymes to compensate. Some of the symptoms associated with a lack of enzymes or proper food digestions are:

• Gas

• Ulcers

• Heartburn

• Indigestion

• Weight gain

Aging reduces the ability to produce enzymes and assimilate nutrients, thus slowing our ability to heal. Enzymes have proven to be an excellent anti-aging supplement. They give elderly patients more energy, a sense of well being, better nutrient assimilation and resistance to disease.

There is more information about enzyme supplementation in the member’s area.

Seaweed

22

Page 23: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Incorporating sea vegetables into your diet will help you maintain a healthy thyroid. It also supplies vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and other nutrients and helps with weight loss by detoxifying and increasing circulation. These seaweeds are listed later on in the book, since they are extremely useful in your body wrap formulas.

Wheat & Dairy

There are a lot of people who are allergic to wheat and/or dairy products. Lactose intolerance is starting to be more and more common. African Americans especially should consider eliminating milk from their diet. Their ancestors did not consume cows milk so there may be a tolerance issue.

I began several years ago eliminating milk and substituting it with almond or coconut milk. I immediately notice that my energy increased, my stomach was no longer as bloated and my eczema began to clear up after a few days. Recently, I experimented with eliminating wheat products. My energy also increased, elimination improved, and my sinuses also improved.

What do I use for bread? I buy bread called Ezekiel 4:9 Bread which is sprouted grain bread. This bread is far superior to wheat bread. It contains no fat, more fiber, and no Gluten. This is the irritant in wheat that so many people have a problem with.

If you are trying to live a Gluten Free Diet there is a great resource for some foods at http://www.glutenfree.com .

Also, at your local health food store, they may carry Gluten Free products. You can find Ezekiel Bread, almond milk, coconut milk, and other milk alternatives there too.

It is always a good idea to pay close attention to your food sensitivities. The allergic reaction of weight gain is not always discussed in diet or reduction programs, but should be considered.

23

Page 24: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Green Veggies

As mentioned earlier, vegetables contain enzymes. Green vegetables also contain the beneficial component, Chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is a nutrient that is the “blood” of a plant. It is very similar to our own blood, so our body readily absorbs and utilizes it.

Chlorophyll is also detoxifying and is beneficial during a cleansing diet. It is an inexpensive product that you can benefit greatly from.

Body Wrap 3 Functions In order for a body wrap to successfully detoxify the body it has to be able to perform 3 functions. These 3 functions are:

1. Stimulation

2. Circulation

3. Absorption

All three functions facilitate each other. Stimulating the skin improves circulation. Circulation allows the ingredients to be absorbed and helps carry wastes to the proper eliminative channel.

Your body wrap formula must contain ingredients that perform each of these tasks in order for your wrap to be successful. Also, mentioned earlier in the Lifestyle section of this book, your overall health has an influence on the success of a body wrap.

24

Page 25: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Body Wrap Ingredients There are several therapies combined in the body wrap process. I will outline and explain these therapies to show you the development of an effective body wrap. You will have a clear understanding of how the body wraps work and why it is a permanent treatment for inch loss.

Thassotherapy is a therapy that is used by the Greeks and Romans for healing that consists of using seaweeds to heal and benefit the body. They soak in sea baths, drink sea vegetable teas, massage and wrap in sea vegetation.

These therapies were, and still are very popular because of the benefits the sea greens provide. Seaweeds purify and balance the ocean and do the same for the human body.

Seaweed can aid your body in the following ways:

Release toxins in the body

Add vital nutrients and minerals to the body

Improve circulation

Speed weight loss

Control cellulite

Ease aches and pains

There are thousands of species of seaweeds all over the world. Here is a list of the most commonly used seaweeds and their healing properties. You can find these at your local health food store or supermarket. My favorite three seaweeds are: Bladderwack, Irish Moss and Kelp.

Arame:

A rich source of iodine. It has been used to promote wrinkle-free skin and for healthy hair.

Bladderwrack:

Rich in vitamin K – a wonderful adrenal stimulant. Native Americans use it in steam baths for arthritis, gout and other ailments. Bladderwrack aids in cellular repair and is a key ingredient for fighting cellulite.

25

Page 26: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Dulse:

A red sea vegetable that is rich in iron, protein, and vitamin A. For those of you who are concerned about using seaweed that is high in iodine, this seaweed makes an excellent choice. It is low in iodine and still contains the same detoxifying properties as kelp. See the resource section for sources for this ingredient.

Hijiki:

Has the most calcium of any sea green and is mineral and protein-rich.

Irish moss:

Also know as chondrus crispus or carrageen is full of electrolyte minerals - calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium. Its mucilaginous compounds help you detoxify, boost metabolism and strengthen hair, skin and nails. It also assists in the fat burning process in cells.

26

Page 27: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Kelp:

Contains vitamins A, B, E, D and K is a main source of vitamin C, and rich in minerals and amino acids. It contains sodium alginate (algin), an element that helps remove radioactive particles and heavy metals from the body. Kelp works as a blood purifier, relieves arthritis stiffness, and promotes adrenal, pituitary and thyroid health. Kelp’s natural iodine can normalize thyroid-related disorders like excessive body weight and lymph system congestion. Kelp also hydrates the epidermis and helps to keep the skin from sagging and wrinkling. Sodium alginate is the active ingredient in kelp, which binds with toxins and removes them from the skin. It is a key ingredient for inch loss, skin tightening and toning.

Kombu:

Also know as horsetail kelp, has abundant iodine, carotenes, B, C, D and E vitamins, minerals like calcium, magnesium, potassium, silica, iron and zinc, and the powerful skin healing nutrient germanium. Kombu is meaty, high-protein seaweed. It is higher in natural mineral salts than most other seaweeds.

27

Page 28: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Nori:

Also know as laver. Contains nearly 50% balanced protein, higher than any other sea plant. Nori is a rich source of carotenes, calcium, iodine, iron and phosphorus.

Sea Palm:

Grows only on the Pacific Coast of North America. It is high in a variety of rich vitamins and minerals.

Wakame:

28

Page 29: !S3 Body Wrap Original

A high-protein, high calcium seaweed, with carotenes, iron and vitamin C that is widely used for hair growth and luster, and for skin tone.

Some of these seaweeds are used in body wrap formulas described later in this book. In that section I am also going to reveal an excellent little know source for a seaweed extract that is very inexpensive.

29

Page 30: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Aromatherapy Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils for psychological and physical well-being. It has been used for centuries and just recently has become more and more popular.

When purchasing essential oils, make sure that you obtain them from a reputable source. At the end of this book there is a list of companies that I have been using for years and their contact information. There are many oils that are widely used in everyday products such as skin care, foods, soaps, cleansers and of course perfumes. The oils listed below will be for the specific purpose of aiding the skin in absorption, improve skin tone, detoxification and to stimulate fat metabolism.

Cypress: Has been used as a mild diuretic and to enhance circulation through the skin.

Grapefruit: Is a powerful skin toner, cleanses the lymphatic system, helps to fight cellulite and obesity, decongests the skin and is an excellent detoxifier. Geranium: Helps to relieve excess fluids, help poor circulation, and as a strong detoxification oil.

Juniper: Helps with blocked pores, water retention, cellulite and arthritis. Lavender: Helps muscle spasms, sprains, strains, and arthritis, skin inflammation, all wounds, scars and burns.

Lemon: A citrus oil which is used for cellulite, obesity, inflamed and painful joints, poor circulation, and improves skin appears by evening skin color. Rosemary: Used as a skin toner, eases swelling, and varicose veins.

Carrier Oils: Used to make massage oils and in lotion preparations. Some of the more popular oils are:

• Grape Seed Oil

• Jojoba Oil

• Almond Oil

When these carrier oils are not readily available, vegetable or olive oil can be used as a substitute. Make sure all carrier oils are stored in the refrigerator and are used within 3 months.

30

Page 31: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Herbology

Herbology has been practiced for centuries and the use of herbs has been mentioned in the Bible. The use of medicinal herbs is the foundation of the use of some of the medicines we use today.

Below is a list of the beneficial herbs that are used in my body wrap formulas:

Cayenne: Also called capsicum, is very effective added to liniments for all sorts of arthritis and muscle aches. Internally, it benefits the heart and circulation when taken alone or added to other remedies.

Chamomile: A soothing and relaxing herb when taken internally. Externally it soothes, softens and heals the skin.

Dandelion: Promotes healthy circulation, used to clear skin eruptions, a detoxifier and is a rich source of potassium and vitamin A.

Echinacea: A natural antibiotic and immune system stimulator. It is also used to improves the lymph glands and detoxify the skin when used externally.

Jaborandi: A detoxifying herb that is used as a stimulant and has diuretic properties. It is also good to help take down swelling of sprains and injuries. No more than 1-2 TBS should be used in any formula. Effects are similar to Ginger.

Horsetail: This herb has a high concentration of silica, which is very beneficial to the skin. It accelerates the healing of the skin and is high in organic calcium. It helps to release excess water that may be trapped in our tissues.

Ginger: A stimulating herb. It improves digestion, and when taken hot, promotes sweating.

31

Page 32: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Body Wrapping Clays Clay Masks have been used because of their drawing and absorbing properties. They have been used to draw out impurities, soften, tone and deeply cleanse the skin.

Below are some of the effective clays that are used in my formulas. They can be interchanged or combined in all formulas that specify clay use.

Bentonite: One of my favorites because of its exceptional drawing properties. Cosmetic companies have used it in facial mask products for years. Liquid Bentonite can be taken internally to help to detoxify the colon. Powder Bentonite should be used for the wrap formulas since the liquid is too diluted.

*French Green Clay: Also widely used by cosmetic companies for facial or body mud. It also has excellent drawing and toning properties and is a rich source of minerals.

*Red Clay: Also another ingredient widely used by cosmetic companies for facial or body mud. Also has excellent drawing and toning properties and is a rich source of minerals.

Sea Clay: Has a high mineral content and has great drawing properties. It is great for drawing oils out of the skin and makes a great facial mask.

Dead Sea Clay: Has been described as clay that is extremely high in minerals and very beneficial to the skin. It has been used for joint pain, a complexion treatment and is excellent for drawing toxins out of the skin. It contains a high concentration of potassium, which helps to regulate the moisture levels of the skin.

*These clays contain a high concentration of Montmorillonite which is highly absorbent and has a high concentration of minerals. When available always opt for using one of these two clays in a formula. As they yield the highest drawing properties.

32

Page 33: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Other Beneficial Body Wrap Ingredients Sea Salt or Mineral Salt: A rich source of minerals and iodine. It is used in bath salt as a base and helps draw out toxins and impurities. It also has some of the same benefits that seaweeds have.

Green Tea: An effective anti-oxidant and a safe stimulant to the system.

Red Clover : Helps purify the blood and cleanse the system of impurities.

Rose Hips: Very nourishing to the skin and are high in vitamin C. It is also used as a blood purifier.

Aloe Vera: Has been used for centuries and is even mentioned in the Bible for its healing properties. Aloe is cleansing, soothing, and healing to the skin. It also increases the absorption of other ingredients in any formula.

*Spirulina: Contains an impressive array of vitamins and minerals, including the essential B-12, the energy vitamin. This wonder food contains 8 essential amino acids (plus 10 of the 12 non-essential amino acids), fatty acids (including the heart-healthy GLA), digestive enzymes, the pigments chlorophyll, porphyrin and phycocyanin—beneficial to the liver, high amounts of protein, and minerals such as potassium, calcium, zinc, magnesium, manganese, selenium, iron and phosphorus. These blue - green algae are easily assimilated by the body.

In addition to containing amino acids, it is also a great source of SOD (superoxide dismutase), which is an enzyme that is a great free radical scavenger and a fat metabolizer.

*You can benefit from this ingredient by adding 2-3 TBS to any of the wrapping formulas.

Liquid lecithin: Used as a highly penetrating carrier for cosmetic products. You may have heard the latest buzz word, Liposomes. These are highly complex microscopic lipid spheres, 1/50th the diameter of a human hair. The membrane of a liposome is nothing more than highly purified natural lecithin. Liposomes encapsulate water and the active ingredients inside their membrane, which are then released into the blood on a sustained release basis. Liposomes deliver nutrients across the skin membrane for instant absorption.

Emu Oil: Penetrates deep into the dermis of the skin. It contains a fatty acid called oleic acid which is a known transport enhancer to carry active compounds through the skin. Some of its benefits are:

Reduced pain, swelling, and stiffness most evident where the joint is close to the skin surface, such as hands, feet, knees and elbows.

Appears to promote faster healing with less pain and scarring

Significant benefit to recent bruising and muscle pain where injury is relatively superficial. Significant reduction in sports related muscle strains post-exercise emu oil massage.

Conditioning and rapid healing of the skin

Increases the penetration of ingredients when added to any product

Does not clog pores

Accelerators Since the last publication, a customer shared with me these items that he added to his wrap formula to enhance detoxification.

Niacin: Also known as vitamin B3. It is commonly known to cause a flush when used internally. While the large organs of the body all have blood supplied from large arteries, a great deal of your body, particularly the parts near the surface (skin and surface areas) get their ONLY supply of blood (therefore also of oxygen and food!) from these small capillaries. So, if those capillaries are not carrying the blood, then those parts of the body are not getting nourishment and oxygen.

The Niacin causes these small capillaries to get larger -- so they might be able to carry two or three blood cells at the same time. This is a tremendous increase in blood flow.

There is no cause for alarm because it is actually a sign of very healthy cleansing and improved blood flow.

I have found that adding 1 – 2 capsules of 100-500 mg doses to start with virtually eliminates the “flush” reaction.

Lobelia and mullein: Herbs that help to increase circulation in the body. Historically they have been used in combination to help take down the swelling and correct the malfunction of glands.

Dr Christopher used these two herbs in his thyroid formula for both underactive and overactive thyroids. Lobelia is also a lymphatic stimulant, which is beneficial for detoxification.

When adding these two herbs to your formula use ½ cup lobelia and ¼ cup mullein.

A Source for a Very Special Ingredient (you’ll be surprised!)

You may not be able to find a seaweed source online or in your geographical area. There is a resource that I ran across by accident. When I realized it, I was tickled!

Seaweed Extract Fertilizer! Before I go further, I like to remind you that fertilizers are used for the produce that we eat. Since we are digesting this produce, natural plant based fertilizer manufacturers focus on making it safe for ingestion. They target their market to people who are concerned about organic gardening and chemical contamination of their produce. These manufactures use the finest seaweed to make their extract.

If you are concerned about safety, rest assure, I have called these fertilizer manufacturers to question the safety of having their extract applied topically and have been reassured of the safety. However, they did want to add that they their fertilizer was intended for plants and they did not intend for it to be applied topically. That didn’t alarm me at all especially since they also use fish for fertilizer and I eat fish at least once a week!

Just to test both the safety and effectiveness of the seaweed extract fertilizer offered, I have also used as much as 1 cup of fertilizer to both a clay wrap and an herbal wrap on myself and several friends with no reaction whatsoever. I have found them to be completely safe.

Seaweed fertilizer is easily found online as well as at your local nursery.

Creating Your Own Formula’s By now you are probably thinking to yourself that most of these ingredients are familiar and that you could probably whip up a formula especially for you… and you’re right!

I have included an ingredients table to help you determine what ingredient will benefit you the most. It will also help you in case you cannot find a specific ingredient.

Here are some guidelines to follow as you prepare your own formulas:

Clay Based formulas

Start by using 4-6 cups of clay

Add water to make a loose paste

½ - 1 cup Epsom Salt

When adding herbs and/or seaweeds add 2 cups if using one of these. Add ½-1 cup for 2 or more herbs and/or seaweeds

Essential oils are added last. Your main oil should not be more than 50 drops. Citrus oils should not be more than 2 drops.

Accelerator ingredients can be added as per previous instructions.

Liquid Based formulas

Start by using 4 cups of Aloe Vera

Add 2 cups water

½ - 1 cup Epsom Salt

Add ½-1 cup for 2 or more herbs and/or seaweeds

Essential oils are added last. Your main oil should not be more than 50 drops. Citrus oils should not be more than 2 drops.

Preparation

The previous sections gave you some idea of how wraps are effective, how they are prepared and how easy they are to prepare. It’s not a complicated process nor is it expensive.

The following recipes are ones that I have had the greatest success with. I am sure you will be amazed by the results that you will achieve with these wraps.

Before you begin to mix the ingredients you will need the following items. At the end of this book there will be a listing of the sources for obtaining supplies and ingredients.

Here is an example of what you might spend for ingredients and supplies shopping online. In most cases these are minimum quantities that are represented.

French Clay (2LB) $11.50

Kombu (1.5 oz.) $ 6.08

Grapefruit Oil (1oz.) $ 6.88

Sea Salt (1LB) $ 3.25

Cypress Oil (1oz.) $ 5.88

Aloe Vera Gel (32oz) $ 7.99

(These prices are from online sources that are mentioned in the Resource section of this book. You can realize a savings of up to 40% off retail)

If you are just wrapping one or two areas on the body, like your thighs or stomach, you will have enough ingredients to perform over 100 wraps!

*Note that prices may vary when you purchase your ingredients locally.

You will find that the money that you will save by making your own body wrap formula, after the initial investment of the wrapping cloths, ingredients and supplies, will be substantial. The beautiful part is that these formulas work as well or better than any commercially available formulas on the market.

Body Wrap Cloths (made of cotton and stretch material and at least 4 feet long and 4 inches wide) – The average person will need between 12- 15 wraps for the whole body. You may use elastic bandages or Ace bandages found at your local drug store. These are also available for sale at amazon.com

Preparing the Skin

Before you begin your wrap, you need to prepare your skin. The skin needs to be able to absorb the formulas and have adequate circulation to carry the formula deep within. There are two techniques, which I recommend to prepare the skin: exfoliation and conditioning.

Exfoliation

Exfoliation helps to smooth the skin and rid it of any dead cells on its surface. There are a lot of skin exfoliation products out on the market. They range in price as well as ingredients. However, there are inexpensive ways to exfoliate your skin.

The main ingredient in exfoliating products on the market is some sort of “grainy” or “gritty” substance that helps to smooth and slough off dead cells. This ingredient may be chemically produced or a natural substance. Rather than going out to buy an exfoliation product, there are some easy and highly effective ways to do it at home with ingredients that you already have.

37

Page 38: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Cleansers

You will need a cleanser base for your exfoliating scrub. The base should be a liquid soap that DOES NOT contain any type of pore clogging oils especially mineral oil. The best are some of the natural liquid soaps at the health food store. Brands that I like are:

JASONS

Dr Brommer’s

You may already have a liquid soap at home. If not, I encourage you to start using liquid soaps because they wash away more easily than bar soap (ever notice the ring in your tub after washing with bar soap?).

Grainy & Gritty

The scrubbing substances you can use are probably already in your kitchen.

They are:

Salt

Corn meal

Sugar Salt is a good one to use to cleanse the skin in addition to helping detoxify. The best salt to use is sea salt, as it contains minerals from the sea. I recommend that you use salt when you are not preparing the skin for a wrap, on the off days.

Corn meal is a gentle exfoliating ingredient that gives your cleanser the scrubbing effect.

Sugar is the ideal choice when preparing the skin for a body wrap. Sugar is the ideal choice because it is an inexpensive AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids). You remember the buzz about AHAs. They are advanced exfoliation for the skin. Well, sugar has both the scrubbing “gritty” action as well as AHA. Using sugar will give you a deep cleanse.

There are three types available to you: brown sugar, raw sugar, and regular sugar. You may use any one of these sugars that you have at your disposal.

Mixing

To make your exfoliation product, you will need to combine ½ a cup of liquid soap with 1 cup of sugar. This mixture should be the consistency of Cream of Wheat. You may have to increase the amount of mixture depending on your size.

Applying

To apply, stand in the tub and rub your exfoliator all over your body in a circular motion. After the application, you can turn on your shower and rinse off.

*Note: Do not apply to broken skin or over cuts.

Conditioning

The conditioning procedure involves applying certain formulas to prepare the skin and PH balance the skin to help the skin better absorb your wrap formula. It is extremely important to enhance the skin’s ability to absorb substances.

There has been a lot of discussion and research on the effects of the body’s pH on health. An important point that needs to be remembered is that if your body’s pH is too acidic or too alkaline, you will not be able to benefit from supplements that you take. Your pH can affect all your major body systems including your circulatory system, which is an important system for obtaining good results from your body wrap.

Ingredients

Some of the ingredients used in conditioning the skin for the body wrap formula are:

38

Page 39: !S3 Body Wrap Original

Base ingredients:

Aloe Vera – Naturally pH balanced, excellent soothing, healing and cleansing properties.

Distilled water – Using distilled water is good because of course water is pH balanced. However distilled water is considered dead water as it contains no “memory” so it will act as a good carrier for the ingredients that you add to it.

Essential Oils:

Chamomile – Soothing and moisturizing to the skin. Also helps circulation.

Geranium – Oxygenates the skin and increases circulation.

Optional:

Kelp Extract – Cleansing and nourishing, and contains iodine, minerals and vitamins.

Seaweed extract – same as kelp except that it may be a mix of sea veggies.

Mixing

This is for one application of the conditioning formula. You can use either Aloe Vera gel or distilled water as your base. Make sure the Aloe Vera gel that you buy is at least 90% Aloe Vera gel. You may also use a combination of both, half of each. Use 1 cup of the base (1 cup of either Aloe Vera or water or add ½ cup aloe and ½ cup of water to make 1 cup).

Add at least one of the essential oils mentioned above to the base. Shake this mixture well. Apply with either your hands or a spritzer bottle.

Your skin is now ready to accept the body wrap formula!

Bonus Formula!

Shrink Gel (up to a 30 day supply) This formula is an excellent transdermal shrinking formula. Because it helps to release fat rapidly, you should only use it on one area at a time. For instance, apply this formula to the abdomen, the thighs, the arms, or the hips. This is good when you are working on a specific area. Don’t use the other post-wrap formula in addition to this one in the same area.

6oz of Liquid Lecithin

15 drops Grapefruit oil

10 drops Juniper oil

10 drops Cypress oil

40 drops of Green Tea Extract, Coffee Extract, or Guarana extract

15 drops to 1 dropper full of Kelp, Dulse or Bladderwrack extract or 1/2 TBS of seaweed extract

Mixing

Mix all ingredients and shake well. You can add a few TSP of grapeseed oil or jojoba oil to make it easier to apply and less sticky. Use this formula like a thigh cream and apply 2 times daily. Store this formula at room temperature. Use within 3 months.

Page 47: !S3 Body Wrap Original

The Wrapping Process The wrapping process is easy. However, to do a full body wrap, you may need a friend to assist you in covering all areas. For spot wrapping, like your stomach or legs and thighs, you can accomplish this alone.

To start, use a tape measure to measure the areas you are going to wrap so that you can track your inch loss. Make sure the wrapping mixture is wet and easy to spread. Spread an even portion over the area to be wrapped. If you are doing a full body wrap, you should cover one area at a time or the process can be quite messy.

I found a couple videos for you on you tube that do a great job of explaining the wrapping process. They are located in the references at the end of the book.

Wrapping Cloths

You can use any type of porous fiber to wrap with. Ace bandages that you find at the drug store, or even thin cut up towels can be an option. Remember that the goal is to have the clothe soak and hold the mixture so that it can set and absorb into your body.

To prepare the cloths for wrapping, fill the sink, a large pot, or a bowl with hot water (this can be tap water). You may add about 10 drops of an essential oil to the water. Juniper, Grapefruit oil, Rosemary, or Cypress are good choices. Also, you may add ¼ cup sea salt.

After your water is prepared, place the rolled cloths in the hot water to saturate them with the liquid until you are ready to wrap each area.

Wrapping Technique

To wrap an area of your body, start at the lowest part of the body area to be wrapped.

Keep the cloths rolled!

Go around the area once, each time overlapping the top part of the bandage that was just wrapped. Wrap the area snuggly, but not so tightly that your circulation is affected. When you reach the end of your bandages, either tuck it under the cloth, or secure with the fasteners that were included. Make sure wrap cloths are hot when wrapping each area of the body.

Stay Warm!

When all wrapping cloths are securely on, cover your body with a long robe, large towels, or a blanket to keep you warm. You can place a space heater in a room to keep you warm or use a heating blanket. You also may get the bathroom nice and hot by running a hot shower to get it steamed up.

Lie down and relax for 45 minutes to 1 hour. While you are relaxing you will feel the cloths actually become looser as you are losing inches. Unwrapping should be done in the bathroom so that the cloths can be rinsed out and you can rinse off. Wash the cloths in a fragrance free liquid soap or borax. You should rinse your body off in lukewarm water only (either a shower or bath). Also, for the following three days, showers should be taken in lukewarm water only.

Avoid high fat foods, salt, and sugar for the next three days.

Next it’s time to measure the wrapped areas to compare your post-wrap measurements to your pre-wrap measurements.

Finally, you can apply your post-wrap oil.

How to Maximize Results The following tips and techniques will help you achieve the results that you desire and increase the effectiveness of the body wrap.

Dry Brush Massage One of the best ways to cleanse the skin without removing the protective mantle of acid and oils. To remove dead skin cells and to prepare the skin for the wrap, use a dry brush to slough off dry dead skin. This treatment removes dead skin cells, stimulates the sweat glands and opens up the pores. Brush the skin in a circular motion and always brush towards the heart. This is one of the simplest treatments you can give yourself with great benefits. The Kloss Family outlines the many benefits of the dry brush massage in “Back to Eden”. You can purchase a dry brush in the health food store or drug store. Make sure you use a soft bristled brush. I found a high quality brush that I now have available on my online store. It features a removable handle for easier brushing. Dry brushing on a daily basis for at least 15 minutes will improve circulation and combat cellulite.

Hydrate You have heard it a million times for every weight loss program. Yes, I am going to say it too. Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water a day. Water helps flush out toxins and keeps your organs working properly.

Also, when using clay based wrap formula, make sure to drink water at least before, during, or after the wrap.

Seaweed Bath A day or two before your body wrap take a hot seaweed bath. Use a mixture of some of the Seaweeds mentioned in the book. Soak the seaweeds in hot water, and you can either pour the entire mixture in your bath or strain it and add sea salt. Due to popular demand I now have a Seaweed bath soak that contains sea kelp and Dead Sea salt available in my online store. This is an incredible way to detoxify and beautify your skin. This bath has some of the same benefits as the wrap. You may take these once a week for detoxification. Also, use one of the supplements mentioned in tip #4 to increase absorption. Sit in the tub for 45 minutes and maintain temperature by allowing water to constantly drip in the tub.

Supplements Two great supplements that increase circulation are Ginger and Cayenne Pepper. Take 2 of either of these supplements 20 minutes before your body wrap. They will help stimulate circulation, open the pores in your skin and increase the absorption of the body wrap solution. As an extra benefit you can also add the extract of either one or both to your wrap mixture. Use about 10-12 drops.

Another great supplement that can be taken internally is Green Tea. In addition to being a great Antioxidant, it is also a natural stimulant with no harmful side effects. You may take it in a capsule form or as a tea.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the body wrap work?

It works with a combination of compression and detoxification through the skin.

Are the results permanent?

Yes, your fat cells shrink as a result. To gain those inches back, you must eat the foods that were responsible for making your fat cells FAT!

How often can I perform the wrap?

As often as you like! I recommend that you wait at least 3 days before you apply your next wrap. The solution is still in your skin for a couple of days after your wrap so it is still actively detoxify and burning fat.

Can I wrap my problem area only, like my stomach or thighs?

Yes, however I recommend that you do a full wrap to start. Your results will be even better for the problem area.

How can I maximize my results?

Incorporating some of the lifestyle factors and making sure your body is an ideal environment for benefiting from any reduction program.

How many wraps will it take to achieve my goals?

That is up to you. Generally speaking a program of 6-12 wraps are sufficient for most people to reach their goal. Then to maintain results, you can apply the wrap once or twice a month.

The techniques in the bonus report will allow you to maintain your results.

I didn’t achieve any inch loss during my first couple of wraps. What happened? Did I do something wrong?

In some cases, the loss of inches is not immediately noticed after the wrap. There are a couple of reasons for this: if you have any medical problems like diabetes, heart disease, or thyroid problems. These medical conditions affect circulation and circulation is the key to getting the ingredients working in the body. For these cases I usually use seaweed formulas and increase the amount of seaweed. Sometimes it takes as many as 3 or 4 wraps to see substantial inch loss that can be achieved. Or you will see the inch loss after a day or two of wrapping, so measure for three days after your wrap too.

Also make sure you follow the instructions carefully. If you have any questions the support desk at cellulitefactor.com

How can I keep a consistent hot temperature during the wrap?

Some spas use cellophane (plastic wrap) to wrap over the solution. The wrapping cloths are then placed over the cellophane and formula. This helps hold the heat in and keep the pores open. Also you can use a heating pad on the wrapped area.

How do I store the extra solutions? Store these preferably in a dark container in the refrigerator.

49

Page 50: !S3 Body Wrap Original

How do I reheat the wrapping formula?

Place your Ziploc bag or jar in a sink of hot water and allow it to sit for about 7 minutes. Shake or stir it up. Then refill sink with fresh hot water and let the formula sit for 10 minutes. This should make it warm to the touch.

Which formula is best for inch loss? You can experience inch loss with all wrapping formulas. Pick the formula that contains the ingredients that have additional properties that you would like to benefit from. The Simple & Effective formula is a good one to start with. It’s the one I use on myself the most because I LOVE clay and seaweed! Also, developing your own formula according to the beneficial ingredients listed on the chart can be helpful and Fun!
