My work involves: Tailor the right solution in computing, vision & MDA deals for all customers and business clients. My biggest success in this role was preparing a large order for the East London NHS Trust. In peak trading Christmas 2015 I was the top sales colleague by over £9000. PC World Business: Advise Business clients on what they may need for their business. Through using my academic knowledge, I ask questions to tailor the business solution. Through seeking initial expansion plans I can develop new opportunities such as selling multiple appliances to a new office. Market the products and services PC World business has to offer Business through face to face, email communication and phone calls. From this I have enhanced my networking skills. My biggest success with this was preparing multiple Laptops for New Pads by The Rock in Bury Knowhow: Set Up, upgrade and install software on tablets & laptops for all customers and clients. Organise and carry out ‘Showhow’ tutorials for customers and clients. Tutorials include all tablets & iPads as well as devices that use Window’s. Bring the product to life! My favourite moment in this role was when I tailored a computing solution to a retired couple who were apprehensive about buying technology. After preparing their products and completing their tutorial they said “I had changed their lives forever” with helping them.

Secondment People Team Leader and member of Management (secondment currently ongoing): Manage the Currys store in the absence of senior management. Lead the Sales Team and introduce my own values and sales techniques to enhance the success

of the team during the alteration in management. Train/mentor work experience colleagues & new recruits on areas regarding sales, and work

with new recruits to improve their development within the business. Recruit new colleagues, and identify the best skilled candidates for sales in electronics.

Sales Colleague - Beales PLC – Bolton (May 2008 to October 2013)My sales background started when I was 17 and studying. This means I have more than 8 years’ work & sales experience! Beales is a medium sized department store chain and a competitor to Debenhams. My role here involved:

Meet sales targets through tailoring menswear solutions to the general public. Set the standards of the store to ensure it is always clean, tidy and ready for trade.

Sell store card services and prepare rewards for repeat customers, such as discounts, to win more business for myself and Beales.

EDUCATIONBA (Hons) Business and Management Classification 2:1 University of Central Lancashire (2009-2012)While studying, I lead a team of students to complete a marketing analysis project for a contact centre support group known as CallNorthWest (CNW). The project involved researching what current and former customers liked and disliked about the service, so CNW could make better use of its resources.

I lead my team to identify where improvements could be made to retain and attract contact centres to CNW’s services.

Prepare online questionnaires for both former and current members to uncover their views and opinions on the service. Online research tools where far more convenient for our team and respondents which is why I chose to use them. This allowed us more time to gather results.

With the large response rates the project was a success as we were able to offer justified recommendations in accordance to our findings.

MEMBERSHIPS AND AFFILIATIONSBaritone Horn player - Smithills Community Band - Bolton.(May 2003 - present) I competed with the band in both 2005 & 2009 World Music Contests which we won. This means I was twice a World Music Champion. Preparing for these contests is where my striving nature rooted from.Volunteer - Carers Trust - Bolton(May 2016 - present)I am a great supporter of charity and fundraising. In 2009 I did a skydive to raise funds for the Bolton Hospice. My role in Carers Trust involved helping the manager set up their store and market the new outlet with posters, working in the local community, and online. My role now involves sourcing donations. From this experience I have learned the basics of setting up a small shop, with a budget of £1500.

SKILLS AND QAULITIESIn any Business I work to ensure company values are followed, such as enhanced use of interpersonal skills and clear communication with all parties. I believe in setting realistic expectations to enhance a culture of dependability and trustworthiness. I believe in having fun and rapport building in all working relationships. I value basic common sense as the first step in maintaining logical methodology.

I prefer to break tasks down to a step by step process. I feel this provides ease to meeting challenges, reduces stress in workloads and helps a team track its process. Such as preparing 2 online surveys for separate sets of data in my university project.

I am a realist, I organize myself genuine aims and room for error where I can. At PC World Bury I find that a personal daily aim of £2000 in sales achievable, even though a weekly target averages £7700.

As the Team Leader, displaying my positivity impacts my behaviour in work, and maintains buoyancy throughout the store.

I approach any challenge with a positive manner and manage expectations through sharing experiences. While in management I maintain an open door policy with all my colleagues.

I take extra care in developing specific expectations for myself or people in my team, and through offering constructive feedback.

Most importantly I am an honest individual. Sometimes when I don’t get things right, the trust I can build to fix a problem puts me at ease when managing expectations. Thus, my rapport building grants me the chance to focus on delivering results and resolutions.
