“ Pago Region Rural Development Project” 

Aim and Objectives

The purpose of our project is to make sure the level and status of living standard of rural poor 

families in four townships in “Pago Region”.

Outline Specification

This project has been planned by the Rural Development Department to implement in four 

townships in Pago Region with local budget and eternal assistance from !apanese Development

"ssistant "gencies. The mission of this project is to ensure the level and status of living standard

of rural poor families in these areas.

There are two ways to get the data for our Rural Development Project.

$f we use the Primary data& we will do this eample “*uestionnaires” and “)chedule”. $n these

*uestionnaires& we made all +uestions by using the way of ,urmese -anguages. ,ecause our 

Rural Development Project is in “Pago Region”. $n this Pago Region& most of the people are

using the mother language,urmese/. )ome of them can also both read and write to answer the

+uestions& but others can neither write nor read the ,urmese words. That why0 1e prepare both

“*uestionnaire” and “)chedule” by using with ,urmese -anguage.

$f we use the secondary data& it is easy to do in our Rural Development Project. ,ecause& we can

get and easily find into the internet& website& such as 2oogle& 3ahoo& and other 2overnment

websites. )o if we use the secondary data& we will do it very easily and +uickly than that of 

 primary data.

There are four types of research design such as )ampling design& statistical design& observationaldesign and operational design. "mong of them& we choose the first& sampling design. The

sampling design has eight methods. They are4

"mong of these methods& we choose and use the three types of methods. They are7

9ur project is a kind of Rural Development Project. The project area is %our Townships in Pago

Region. )o we think about these Townships. 1hich Townships should be selected:/ )o& the

 population of this project is villages. $n this way& there are so many villages into the %our Townships. )o we choose and do the sampling methods. "t first& we should use the stratified

sampling methods. $n this stage& we use these methods by looking at the development of the

villages such as transportations& buildings& electricity and so on. "nd then we choose it& second

and the third is using by the systematic sampling and sample random sampling. Doing this way&

we will get the best answer and suitable result for our Rural Development Project.

$f we use the primary data& at first& we also made the “*uestionnaire” and “)chedule”. 1e also

show in above& if make use of secondary data we can find without difficulty or effort into the

internet& 2oogle& 3ahoo& and other 2overnment websites.
