How to Use This CBT
If you would like to print this CBT:
• Return to the DCS web page.
• Right click on the link to the CBT and choose “Save Target As…”
• Choose a location on your computer to save the file and click OK.
• Go to Start, Programs, Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Choose “Open an Existing Presentation”.
• Choose the CBT file that you saved above.

•Case managers, Resources Managers, Team Leader and Team Coordinators are authorized to make a Runaway placement.
•Administrative personnel are not authorized to make Runaway Placements.
•A Runaway placement can be recorded for a custody or a post-custody client.

Double click on the Placements Icon located at the case detail line.

The screen will show the Resource type, Begin and End date, Location Name, Vendor Name and Contract # or Non-Payable type. Since no placement has been recorded this screen is blank.

Entering a Runaway Placement
To enter a runaway placement the user will right click and select ‘Add Placement Location’.

The user will be presented a new screen. The user will select the placement type of ‘New Placement Location’.

The user will then select ‘Runaway’ listed in the ‘Placement Location Selection’ box.

The user will then be presented with the ‘Runaway Placement Details’. If this information is correct then the user will select OK.

The placement is added to the client’s record. The user will also notice five additional tabs. These tabs are read only for the case manager.

There are no reports specific to Runaway placements although many existing reports will report on this placement type.
