Travel Experience
School Trip to North Vietnam
2010 (3 weeks, guided tour)
The social and cultural experience of traveling to South-East Asia as a high school student
inspired me to explore avenues of Social Science
This first overseas trip ignited my interest in other communities and cultures, and encouraged me
to appreciate what I have and to support those who are in need
Vietnam
2015 (4 weeks, unguided)
I organised and financed a trip for two to travel the coastline of Vietnam
I quickly learnt how to adapt under pressure with unforseen situations requiring revision of set
travel and accommodation plans
This trip has aided my intercultural communication skills, in addition to motivating me to help
those who are oppressed, discriminated and live in poverty
