2. + Mama Scherff gets the food ready as she waits for her guests to arrive. Its going to be a fun night! 3. + Mama Scherff prepares some of the most delicious guacamole in town! A few guests trickle in and praise my mother for her newly redone kitchen. 4. + Those of us who are 21 have some great wine, like my mom and I. People who really want to have a good time, like my 22 year old brother who is home for the summer, has a cold vodka sprite! 5. + My brother intently watches the Honduras vs Ecuador FIFA match on television (he is rooting for Honduras). I make fun of him because I know that Ecuador will definitely win because of their awesome rankings in the World Cup. 6. + I become immediately upset as I see that my mom invited the nasty next door neighbors who always talk badly about us behind our backs. My mother, being too kind for her own good, invites the couple over in hopes of becoming friends with them. I try not to think about it and plaster a fake smile on my face. 7. + My mother overheard the nasty neighbors make a mean comment about her kitchen which hurts my mothers feelings as she has put her heart and soul into the remodeling for months. She doesnt understand why they have to be so cruel and just wants everyone to get along. 8. + Meanwhile, I decide to take a break from the party since it seems that people are getting tipsy, so I decide to finish up the last episode of Gossip Girl. I find out that Dan and Serena get married! I wish my love life was like that 9. + Dan and Serena get married! It was the finale I was dreaming of! (I know I can be a hopeless romantic sometimes) 10. + Meanwhile, my brother is still upset that Honduras lost and contemplates life. He tells me how hard college has been for him but he is thrilled that he has finally accomplished this milestone in his life. He also shares that he is moving to Atlanta to start his new job once the summer is over. 11. + I am shocked to find out that my brother is moving so soon but I cannot wait for him to start the next chapter in his life. I am very happy that he is home for the summer. 12. + Meanwhile, my mom finally relaxes after a stressful night of hosting and people pleasing! (She has gotten really sick from stress in the past so I am glad my brother and I could be there to help slow her down and take a breather). 13. + My mom is so happy that her two kids are home. She is so thankful for her wonderful life in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Even though she is a single mom, she thanks God every day for her two amazing kids and the life that she has lived. 14. + My mom is ecstatic to have such an incredible friend like Lucy. They reminisce and share stories from their college days. Despite the nasty neighbors, my mom kept her head held high and had a wonderful night with great friends and family. 15. + CREDITS!
