2008 - Participated in a yearlong professional development and training program provided by

McREL which provided research and training on school level and district level leadership and the change process. Upon completion of the training I have been certified as a McREL presenter for their material.

2008 - Participated in the professional development provided by the Iowa School Board Association Research Group concerning the “Lighthouse Project.” This material and information has been implemented in a number of courses within the superintendency preparation program.

2007 - Participated and certified as a trainer for the Iowa Administrator Evaluation Certificate.

Attended four all day sessions sponsored by the Iowa Department of Education, School Administrators of Iowa and Wallace Foundation.

2007 - Participated in the renewal training for Evaluator Approval II certification. Sponsored by

the Department of Education state of Iowa.

2007 - Advanced training as a mentor for the “StrengthQuest” instrument. Trained at the Gallup

University, Omaha, NE.

2006 - Participant at Gallup University, Omaha, NE. Trained in StrengthQuest, an instrument used

to identify strengths as an individual and in the workplace. Was trained to administer, analyze, interpret and report the findings.

2006 - Participated in the McRel Training on “Balanced Leadership,” sponsored by the Iowa

Council of Professors of Educational Administration and Grant Wood Area Education Association.

2003 - Participated in the Iowa Evaluator Approval I Training for Principals. Upon completion of

the training I was certified as a trainer for the state of Iowa.

1997 - Participant at McGraw-Hill “The School System” Workshop on advanced training of student scheduling software. The workshop was conducted in Des Moines, Iowa, by McGraw-Hill technical staff.
