#NPLNSWCLUB WELCOME
Good evening everyone and welcome to another huge clash at Lambert Park tonight
against Blacktown City.
It’s been a season of learning for our young squad and I’m proud of how they’ve performed this year, as we near the end of the 2018 competition.
I’m proud of the way our players have stood up to the challenge each week and there are plenty of positives to take away from this campaign.
Blacktown City will be a great test tonight and it’s another match I’m thoroughly looking forward to.
I’d like to thank all our Members and fans for their backing during the season and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone in the stands again tonight.

NPLNSW.COM.AU 1ST GRADE MATCH PREVIEW
Sydney FC will be hoping for a positive end to a tough season with an upset win against
Blacktown City on Saturday.
The Young Sky Blues remain rooted to the bottom of the ladder and a 4-1 defeat away to Marconi last week was just another heartbreaking result for Robbie Stanton’s rising stars.
Blacktown has been well below their best this season but are all but certain to make the finals. They were lucky last round as a young star of their own in Mason Versi rescued them with a late goal to salvage a 1-1 draw against Rockdale.
Sydney will be playing for pride in this game and a win against a big scalp like Blacktown would do wonders for their confidence.
Goalkeeper Duro Dragicevic has seen a fair few balls sail into the back of his net this campaign yet has still been one of Sydney FC’s brightest performers with incredible saves to keep his side in many matches.
Joey Gibbs failed to hit the net last match but is always a good bet to score for Blacktown. He will be fired up to take the game to Sydney’s young defence.
Blacktown will be the favourites for this match but this season has proven anything can happen in 90 minutes.

#NPLNSWMATCH REVIEWSMarconi Stallions 4 – Sydney FC 1 at Marconi Stadium
Marconi Stallions have kept their finals dreams alive with a 4-1 demolition of Sydney FC at Marconi Stadium on Sunday.
The win moves the Peter Tsekenis coached Stallions side to sixth in the competition standings, three points behind fifth placed Rockdale City Suns.
The Young Sky Blues opened the scoring after only two minutes thanks to a Jackson Bandiera who cooly finished after a Nenad Vekic save fell at his feet.
It took until just before the interval for the home side to equalise when Mateo Poljak converted from the penalty spot.
Sydney FC took it to Marconi in the first half, it was a far different story in the second stanza.
Hassan Jollah scored a brace against his former side inside nine minutes while Marko Jesic put the icing on the cake to wrap up the 4-1 victory.
Blacktown City 1 – Rockdale City Suns 1 at Lily Homes Stadium
Rockdale City Suns have tightened their grip on fifth position and the final playoff spot with a 1-1 draw against Blacktown City at Lily Homes Stadium on Sunday.
A tight first-half ended locked scoreless with both side’s unable to capitalise on their early chances.
Rockdale took the upper hand mid-way through the second stanza thanks to Jonathan Grozdanovski’s clinical headed finish.
Blacktown looked to fight back straight away but couldn’t find a way past Suns keeper Ante Covic.
With ten minutes left on the clock Blacktown finally found the back of the net when Mason Versi scored the equaliser.
Both teams had chances to finish the match on top but it just wasn’t to be with both side’s unable to find a winner.

NPLNSW.COM.AU U20’S MATCH PREVIEWBlacktown City FC will play Sydney FC on
Saturday night with the opportunity to clinch the Premiership should they take all three points.
It would cap a magnificent season for Blacktown, who had kept touch with Sutherland Sharks through the best part of the season to finally overtake them into first place two weeks ago.
If they are to do it, though, they are going to have to do it the hard way. Blacktown travel to Lambert Park to take on second-placed Sydney FC, who are fresh from a 4-2 win over Marconi Stallions in Round 20.
Behind Blacktown by a point, Sydney would take pole position heading into the final week with a win on Saturday night. Both teams are in good form coming into this one, and there’s little telling which way it’ll go – this fixture ended 4-4 when Blacktown hosted Sydney at Lily Homes Stadium earlier in the season.
