1IntroductionBRP-POWERTRAINanditsauthorizeddistributors/partnersorganizetheROTAXMOJOMAXChallengeGrandFinals(RMCGF),internationalROTAXMOJOMAXChallengeEvents(IRMCE)andnationalROTAXMAXChallenges(RMC).InLebanon,theRotaxMojoMaxChallengeisorganizedbyPitStopKartingS.A.R.L.(Onbehalfof“AzimutAutomotiveS.A.L.”,theofficialRotaxdistributorinLebanon),andauthorisedandsupervisedby“AutomobileetTouringClubduLiban”(ATCL).TheROTAXMAXChallengeeventsshallberuninaccordancewiththeRotaxMojoMaxChallenge2018seriessportingregulations,theRotaxMojoMaxChallenge2018seriestechnicalregulations,theInternationalSportingCode(“ISC”)anditsappendices,theLebaneseSportingCode(ATCL),theCIK-FIAtechnicalregulations,thegeneralprescriptionsapplicabletoCIK-FIAKartinginternationalevents,aswellaswithanysupplementaryregulationsdrawnupbytheLebaneseASN(ATCL)(http://www.atcl.org),includingtheseregulationsandthesupplementaryregulationsofeacheventofthechampionship.TheRotaxMaxChallenge(RMC)regulationsareavailablefordownloadontheofficialwebsiteoftheLebaneseRMC:www.rotaxmaxlebanon.com“ROTAXMOJOMAXChallenge”,"ROTAXMOJOMAXEUROChallenge","ROTAXMOJOMAXASIAChallenge"and"ROTAXMOJOMAXChallengeGrandFinals"arethepropertyofBRP-POWERTRAINGmbH&Co.KG(BRP-POWERTRAIN).Theseregulationsaddressthespecificitiesofthe“LebanonRotaxMaxChallenge”.ANYTHINGWHICHISNOTEXPRESSILYALLOWEDINTHESPORTINGOR

5Datesandschedule/events/trackconfigurationThe2018LebaneseRotaxkartingchampionshipwillinclude8rounds.ThedatesandtracklocationsandconfigurationsarespecifiedonAppendixAofthepresentregulations.Moreinformation(orchanges)regardingthetracklocation,configurationandlengthofeachround,aswellasthedetailedscheduleofeacheventwillbedefinedbyspecificbulletinspublished1weekbeforetheround’sdate.

6ProvisionalinformationofthemeetingAdditionalinformationforeachmeetingmaybeissuedinadvanceanddisplayedontheofficialnoticeboardlocatedatPitStopKartingtrack.

7RaceOfficialsTheraceOfficialsforeacheventwillbeappointedbytheorganisersandapprovedbytheASN,inanadditionalbulletindisplayedontheofficialnoticeboardpriortotheevent.

8Entries

8.2EntryFeesEntryfeestobepaidtoPitStopKartingduringtheregistrationforeacheventasfollows:-Allclasses: 80US$/event.-DriverswhowillraceinbothRotaxMax&RotaxDD2orRotaxMax&RotaxDD2Masterclasseswillbechargedatotalfeeof125US$/event.Anyentrynotaccompaniedbythefeeshallbenullandvoid.

9Application&InterpretationoftheregulationsThefinaltextoftheseSportingRegulationsshallbetheEnglishversion,whichwillbeusedshouldanydisputeariseastotheirinterpretation.

II-CLASSES&ELIGIBILITY:

1Eligibility

1.1KartLicenceDriversmustbeinpossessionofavalidNationalorInternationalKartLicenceissuedbytheATCL(ASN),oranInternationalKartLicenceissuedbytheASNofanothercountrywithanonobjectionletterfromtheASN.IftheentrantisotherthanthedriverthentheentrantmustholdaseparatevalidEntrantLicenceissuedbytheATCLoranASNofanothercountry.

1.2VisaAllcompetitorsholdingalicenceissuedoutsideLebanonmustgain“StartPermission”fromtheirlicence-issuingASN.Allcompetitionlicencesmustbesurrenderedatsigningon(alongwiththestartpermissionpaperworkifapplicable)forverification.Failuretoproducetherequireddocumentationwillresultinenforcednon-participation.

2ROTAXMICROMAXclass:

2.1AgeLimits:ToparticipateinanyeventoftheLebanonRotaxMaxChallengeintheRotaxMicroMaxclass,thedrivermusthavehis/her7thbirthdayduring2018.He/shemusthavehis/her11thbirthdayafter31.12.2018.

III-RACEEVENT

1RacemeetingFormatEachracemeetingwillconsistofthefollowingformat:-Signingon-Scrutineering-Driver’sBriefing-Warm-up(optional)-Qualifying-Pre-Final-Final-Awardpresentation

2Scrutineering-Inordertofacilitateandspeed-uptheprocessofscrutineering,eachcompetitorwillreceiveaPre-TechFormatregistration.ThePre-Techformcanalsobedownloadedattheofficialsite:www.rotaxmaxlebanon.com.Alldetailsrelatingtotheequipmentmustbecheckedonthisform,andthepersonsubmittingtheequipmentforscrutineeringmustsigntheformbeforesubmissiontoscrutineering.AnincompletePre-TechFormwillberejected.-DuringtheinitialScrutineering,whichwilltakeplaceontheracedayandatthetimesspecifiedontheofficialschedule,eachcompetitormusthaveallrequireddocumentsandequipmentavailable. -RacingnumbersandrequiredgraphicsmustbeonthekartwhentheequipmentissubmittedtoScrutineering. -NokartmayparticipateinanEventunlessithasbeencheckedbytheScrutineers. -Competitorswhodonotkeeptothetimelimitspostedontheofficialscheduleforpre-techdeclarationsand/orscrutineeringwillbeassesseda10US$penaltyfeeperminuteofdelay,withamaximumacceptabledelayof15minutes.Ifthecompetitor’sdelayexceeds15minutes,his/herparticipationintheremainingpartoftheeventmayberefused.-AtanytimeduringanEvent,theScrutineersmay: a)checktheeligibilityofthekartoroftheDriver’sequipment. b)requireakarttobedismantledbytheCompetitortomakesurethattheconditionsofeligibilityandconformityarefullysatisfied.c)requireaCompetitortosupplythemwithsuchpartsorsamplesastheymaydeemnecessary.-Anykartwhich,afterbeingpassedbytheScrutineers,isdismantledormodifiedinawaythatmightaffectitssafetyorcallintoquestionitseligibility,orwhichisinvolvedinanaccidentwithsimilarconsequences,mustbere-presentedforScrutineeringapproval.-TheRaceDirectormayrequirethatanykartinvolvedinanaccidentbestoppedandchecked.ChecksandScrutineeringshallbecarriedoutbydulyappointedofficialswhoshallalsoberesponsiblefortheorganisationoftheServicingParks,andwhoaloneareauthorisedtogiveinstructionstotheEntrants.

-TheStewardswillpublishthefindingsoftheScrutineersconcerningallkartscontrolledandwillplacethematthedisposalofotherEntrantsonrequest.Thesefindingswillnotincludeanyspecificfigures. -SubmittingakarttoScrutineeringshallbeconsideredasanimplicitstatementofconformity.-ADrivershallnotbeallowedtochangehis/herequipmentafterithasbeenidentifiedatScrutineering.

3Briefings- TheDrivers’BriefingisameetingorganisedbytheClerkOftheCoursefor

allDriversenteredintheEvent. - AimoftheBriefing:toremindDriversofthespecificpointsofthese

RegulationsconcerningtheorganisationoftheEvent;toremindthemofthesafetynotions,eithergeneral,orspecifictothecircuitused;togiveanyclarificationconcerningtheinterpretationoftheRegulations.

- ThetimeoftheBriefingisindicatedintheofficialscheduleoftheEvent.ThetimeisconsideredasthatofthebeginningoftheBriefingandaccesstotheBriefingwillbeclosed.Extrameetingsmaybeorganisedifthisisdeemednecessary.

- ThepresenceofallconcernedDriversismandatorythroughouttheBriefing.FailuretocomplywillresultinaUS$75penaltyfee.

4Warm-upsession- Onsomeracedates,awarm-upsessionmaybeorganisedbeforethe

Qualifyingpractice.- Participationtothewarm-upisoptional- Theofficialtimingsystemwillberunninganddisplayingresultsduring

thewarm-upsessions.- Thedriverisallowedtostopintheservicingparkduringwarm-upfor

servicingandset-up,andresumehiswarm-upsessionafterwards.

5QualifyingPracticeOnlydriverswhohavecompleteddeclarationsandscrutineeringmayparticipateinthequalifyingtimedpracticesession,aspertheofficialschedule.Thecompetitormustuseonlydeclaredequipmentforthissession.Allkartsshallstartthequalifyingsessionfromthepre-grid.Duringthesession,driverswilltakethestartwhenevertheychoose.AnyDriverhavingcrossedthelinedrawnattheexitofthepre-gridareawillbeconsideredasbeingastarterandhislaptimewillbetakenintoaccount,whateverthecircumstances.Anylapfullycoveredistimed.Itismandatorytocompleteaminimumof1lap(ie1crossingoftheStart-Finishline).Thetimeretainedisthatofthebestlapcoveredduringthesession.Anytieswillbedecidedbythe2ndbesttimesetbyeachDriver,andsooninthecaseoffurtherties. IfnotimeistakenintoaccountforaDriver,hewilltakethestartattheendoftheGrid.IfseveralDriversareinthatsituation,theirstartingpositionwillbedecidedbydrawinglots.IfaDriverexitsthetrackandstopsinthePitLaneorServicingPark,itwillbefinal.He/sheshallnotbeallowedtostartandgoonthetrackagain.

Failuretoparticipateinthissessionmayresultinexclusionfromtheremainderofthemeeting(atthediscretionoftheRaceDirector&theChiefofStewards).

6Pre-FinalStartingpositionsofthepre-finalracearedeterminedbytheQualifyingPracticeclassification.Thestarttimeandnumberoflapsofthepre-finalraceforeachclassaredefinedintheofficialschedule.Startsshallbeoftherollingtype.

7FinalStartingpositionsofthefinalracearedeterminedbytheclassificationofthePre-Final.Thestarttimeandnumberoflapsofthefinalraceforeachclassaredefinedintheofficialschedule.Startsshallbeoftherollingtype.

8Startingprocedures

8.1GeneralStartsshallberollingtype.Theregulationsfor“Rollingstartsfordirectdrivekartswithorwithoutclutches”oftheCIK-FIAgeneralregulationsapplyforalltheclassescompetingintheLebaneseRotaxKartingChampionship2018.

8.2Pre-GridForPre-Final&Finalraces,kartsshallbelineduponthePre-Gridinthestartingorderoftherace.Itisthedriver’sresponsibilitytoensurethatbothhe/sheandtheirkartareinpositiononthePre-GridbeforethePre-Gridcloses.AnydriversarrivingafterthistimewillnotbepermittedtoenterthecircuitwithouttheexpresspermissionoftheClerkoftheCourse.KartsplacedonthePre-Gridmustbereadytorace.Itisstrictlyforbiddentocarryoutanyworkand/orset-uponthekartonthePre-gridwiththeexceptionoftyrepressures,whichcanbeadjustedbythedriverorhis/hermechanicandbyusinghis/herownmeans.MechanicsmustclearthePre-GridoneminutebeforethestartoftheRace(“1minute”board).30-secondsafterthe”30seconds”boardisdisplayedthegreenflagwillbeshownatthefrontofthegridtoindicatethatthekartsmustbeginaWarm-upLap,followedbyaformationlapkeepingtotheorderofthestartinggridandinconformitywiththeCIK-FIAGeneralPrescriptions.Shouldadriverrequireassistanceafterthe“30seconds”signal,he/shemustindicatethistotheMarshalsand,oncetheotherkartshaveleftthegrid,amechanicmayworkonthekart.IfadriverisunabletostartfromthePre-Gridatthetimeofthegreenflag,he/shewillonlybeauthorisedtojointhecircuitontheordersoftheOfficialsand

willhavethepossibilityofregaininghisgridpositiononlyifthismanoeuvredoesnotimpedeotherDriversandinallcasesbeforehavingreachedtheReddelineationLinewhichwillbematerializedonthetrackandindicatedbytheRaceDirectorattheBriefing.

8.4RaceStart- Therewillbeayellowaccelerationlinepaintedonthetracksurface

approximately25metersinfrontofthestartline.Thiswillalsobenotedbysoftconesoneachsideofthetrack.

- Oncedriversreachthereddelineationlineontheformationlapdriverswillproceedforwardatareduced&constantspeed(fastwalkingpace),towardtheyellowaccelerationline,linedupintwolinesofkarts,andeachlineshallremainwithinthelanesmarkedonthetrack.

- Driversmustmaintaintheirpositionswithinthemarkedlanesuntiltheredstartinglightsareswitchedoff.

- Duringtheapproachstage,theredlightwillbeon.- Nokartsmayacceleratebeforetheredlightshavebeenswitchedoff.- Itisforbiddenforthefrontrowtoacceleratebeforecrossingtheyellow

line.- Itisforbiddenfortheoffpolekarttobeaheadofthepolekartbeforethe

startisgiven.- Itisstrictlyforbiddentopushthekartwhichisinfrontduringthestart

phase.

- Iftheclerkofthecourseissatisfiedwiththeformationhewillgivethestartbyswitchingofftheredlights.

- Iftheclerkofthecourseisnotsatisfiedwiththeprocedure,hewillswitchontheyellowlight,whichmeansthatanextraformationlapmustbecovered.Inthecaseofanostartalldriversarerequiredtoraisetheirhandsindicatingnostart,andproceedaroundattheformationlapspeedforanotherattempt.

- Shouldtheengineofadriverstopduringformationlap,anofficialormechanicnominatedtocarryoutthattaskmayrestarthimassoonashe/shehasbeenpassedbytheentirefield.Hemaythenrejoinatthebackoftheformationandmustnottrytoregainhisgridposition.Ifthekartcannotbestarted,thenitmustberemovedfromthetracktoaplaceofsafety.Similarlyshouldadriverfallbehindtheentirefieldwithoutstopping,hemustremainattherearforthestartandmustnotattempttoregainhisposition.

8.5RepeatedFalseStartsInthecaseofrepeatedfalsestartsorincidentsduringtheFormationLap(s),theRaceDirector,actingasaJudgeofFact,maystopthestartingprocedurebymeansoftheredflag/lightandinformtheStewards,whowillbeentitledtoinflictontheoffendingDriversapenalty.Anewprocedurewillbegineitherimmediatelyorwithin30minutes,accordingtothecircumstances.Thestartinggridwillbethesameasfortheinitialprocedureexceptfordriverswhohavebeenpenalizedbytheracedirector.AlltheDriverspresentinthestartingareaorinrepairareabeforetheprocedurewasstoppedwillbeallowedtotakethestartofthenewFormationLap.

8.6JumpStartAnyattemptstojumpthestartordelayitandanykartsleavingthelanebeforethelightsareswitchedoffshallbesanctionedaccordingtothefollowingarticle(startrelatedincidents&penalties).Ajumpstartwillbedeemedtohaveoccurredwhenadrivercrossesthestartlineaheadofhisprescribedgridpositionatthestartoftherace.Thisisrecordedbythetimingsystemand/oranyvideoorelectronicsystemlikelytohelpthestewardsintheirdecisions,andtheofficialtimekeeperswhoactasjudgesoffact,willdetermineifajumpstarthasbeencommitted.

8.7Startrelatedincidents&penalties- Adrivercrossingthelongitudinaltramlanespriortotheextinctionofthe

startinglightsduringtheapproachand/oraccelerationphaseissubjecttoasanctionasperthePenaltiescatalogue(AppendixD).

- AdrivercommittingajumpstartissubjecttosanctionasperthePenaltiescatalogue(AppendixD).

- Ifaraceisdeclaredas“wet”whilethekartsarealreadyonthestartinggridorpre-grid,anadditional15minutedelayisgrantedtoremovetheslicktiresandputonthewettires.Chassisadjustmentsarealsoallowedduringthis15minuteperiod.

10RaceStoppage

10.1GeneralShoulditbecomenecessarytostopaRacebecausethecircuitisblockedbyanaccidentorbecauseweatherorotherconditionsmakeitdangeroustocontinue,theRaceDirectorshallorderaredflagtobeshownattheStartLine. Simultaneously,redflagswillbeshownatallMarshals’Posts.ThedecisiontostoptheraceorpracticemaybetakenonlybytheRaceDirector.IfthesignaltostopracingisgivenallkartswillimmediatelyreducetheirspeedandcometoastoponthetrackattheplacedesignatedduringtheBriefing,consideringthattheclassificationoftheHeatwillbetheclassificationattheendofthelappriortothatduringwhichthesignaltostopwasgiven.Theproceduretobefollowedvariesaccordingtothenumberoflapscompletedbytheraceleaderbeforethesignaltostopwasgiven:

10.2Lessthan2lapscompletedIflessthan2lapshavebeencompletedbytheleader,theRacewilleitherbere-runinitsentiretyorabandoned,inwhichcasetheresultbecomesnullandvoid.

10.3Between2lapsand75%ofthedistancecompletedIfmorethan2lapsbutlessthan75%ofthedistancescheduledfortheRacehasbeencompletedbytheleader(roundeduptothenearestwholehighernumberoflaps),theRaceDirectorshall,athisdiscretion,decideto:

a)Considertheracefinished.Inthiscasetheraceresultshallbedeclaredasthefinishingorderbehindtheleaderonthelastfulllapcompletedbyhim/herandbeforetheracewas stopped.b)Considertheracesuspendedandrunitasatwo-partrace.Inthiscase,theRacewillberestartedasasingle-filerollingstart.Resumingstartpositionswillbedeterminedbythefinishingorderattheendofthelap

beforetheoneonwhichtheracewassuspended.Drivers“onelapdown”shallbeputintheircorrectpositionbehindthedriversontheleadlap.Theracedistanceshallbethenumberoflapsrequiredtomakeupthefullracedistance.Thefinishingorderofthesecondpartshallbethefinishingorderoftherace.Drivers“onelapdown”inthefirstpartshallbedeemedtohavefinishedtherace1lapdownunlesstheyhaveunlappedthemselves.

Whileracingisstopped,thewholecourseshallbeconsideredasParcFerméandnoworkmaybecarriedoutonanykart.NoonemayenterthecircuitwithouttheexpresspermissionoftheClerkoftheCourse. Ifakartleavesthecircuitduringthestoppageitwillnotbepermittedtorejointherace.Anykartnotracingbeforetheincident(thatcausedthestoppage)shallnotrejointherestartedrace.Kartsinvolvedintheincidentthatgaverisetothestoppage,orwhosubsequentlystoppedracingpriortothedisplayingoftheredflag,mayonlyrejointheraceiftheRaceDirector,inconsultationwiththeChiefScrutineer,issatisfiedthatakartissafetocontinuewithoutrepair,andtheChiefMedicalOfficerissatisfiedthatacompetitorisfittocontinueracing.Anysuchindividualmustrestartattherearofthefield.Allotherkartsmaytaketherestartintheirappropriateposition.Exceptionally,ifitbecomesnecessarytoremoveallkartsfromthecircuitbeforetherestart,ParcFerméconditionsapplyandnoworkorrepairmaybecarriedoutwithouttheexpressconsentoftheChiefStewardorRaceDirector.Thiswillbediscretionary.

10.4Morethan75%ofthedistancecompletedIf75%racedistanceormorehasbeencompletedbytheleader(roundeduptothenearestwholehighernumberoflaps),theRacewillbedeemedtohaveended.Theraceresultshallbedeclaredasthefinishingorderbehindtheleaderonthelastfulllapcompletedbyhim/herandbeforetheRacewasstopped.

11RaceFinishingProcedures

11.1General-ThechequeredflagsignalindicatingtheendoftheRaceshallbegivenontheStartLineassoonastheleadingkarthascoveredthefullracedistance.-Shouldthesignalindicatingtheendoftheracebedelayedforanyreason,theRacewillbedeemedtohavefinishedwhen,undernormalcircumstances,theendoftheracewouldhavebeendecidediftherehadbeennodelay.-Afterhavingreceivedthechequeredflag,allkartsshalldirectlygotothescales(andParcFermé)usingthenormalcourseofthetrack,withoutanyunnecessarydelay,withoutperformingdoughnuts,withoutstopping,withoutgivingorreceivinganyobjectwhatsoeverandwithoutanyhelp(exceptthatofMarshalsifnecessary).-AnyclassifiedkartunabletoreachthescalesbyitsownmeanswillbeplacedunderthecontrolofMarshals,whowillsupervisethemovementofthekarttothescaleswiththeassistanceofthedriver.-Forafinishtobeconsideredvalid,adrivermusthavecrossedtheFinishLineseatedatthewheelofhis/herkartandunderitsownpower.-Anydriverremovingbothhandsfromthesteeringwheelwhilsttravellingatconsiderablespeed,whetherincelebrationornot,willbeadjudgedtobedrivingdangerouslyandsubjecttoapenalty,atthediscretionoftheChairmanoftheStewards.-InthecaseofadeadheatontheFinishLinerevealedbytimekeeping,therulefordecidingbetweentyingdriversshallbethefastestlaptimerecordedbyeachdriverduringtheraceconcerned.

11.2ParcFerméOnlyauthorisedOfficialsmayenterParcFermé.NointerventionofanykindisallowedthereunlessauthorisedbysuchOfficials.WhenParcFerméisinuse,ParcFerméregulationswillalsoapplyintheareabetweenthefinishinglineandtheParcFerméentrance.ParcFerméshallbesufficientlysecuresothat nounauthorisedperson can gain access to it. Anydriver returning toParcFerméeitherduringorafterarace(forwhateverreason)mustreporttothescalesforweightverification.DriversarenotpermittedtoleaveParcFerméuntil expressly permitted by theOfficials. At the end of the protestdelay of each class, the karts of the concerned classmay bemoved out ofparcfermé.

11.3PodiumCeremonyTheDriversclassified3rd,2ndand1stintheFinalshallclimbonthepodiumoneaftertheother.Theymustweartheirraceoverallszippedupatprizegivingceremonies.Ifcapsaresuppliedbytheorganizertheymustbewornbythedriversduringthepodiumceremony.CompetitorswhofailtoadheretothesepodiumstandardsorwhofailtoappearforthepodiumceremonywithouttheapprovaloftheChiefStewardmaybesubjecttopenalty,includingmonetaryfines,exclusionfromtheeventandlossofpointsandawards.

12Scale/WeighingProcedure-Theofficialscalewillbelocatedinaclearlyidentifiedarea,whichwillbeindicatedduringthedrivers’briefing.Thisscaleistheonlyonewhichwillbeofficiallyusedandcounted.-OnRaceday,theusageofthescaleisopentocompetitorsuntilthebeginningofthedrivers’briefingbutwiththebelowrestrictions:

- Enginesarenotallowedtobefired.Duringtheweighingprocedurekartshavetobepushedtoandbackfromthescale.

- Refuelingisstrictlyprohibitedatthescalearea.-AftertheWarm-up,theQualifyingPractice,thePre-FinalortheFinal,eachkartmaybeweighed(followinginstructionsfromscrutineers).-If,following2calls,adriverisnotpresentfortheweighingprocedure,hewillbesubjecttoa$30penaltyfee.Ifthedriverisnotpresentafterathirdcall,hewillbeexcludedfromthesessionconcerned.-IfthekartisunabletoreachtheWeighingAreabyitsownmeansitwillbeplacedundertheexclusivecontroloftheMarshals,whowilltakeitthereorhaveittakenthere,andtheDrivershallreporttotheWeighingAreaassoonashereturnstothepitssothathisweightmaybeestablished.-Nosolid,liquidorgaseousmatterorsubstanceofanynaturewhatsoevermaybeaddedtoakart,placedonitorremovedfromitbeforeWeighing(exceptbyaScrutineerwithintheframeworkofhisofficialduties). -OnlyScrutineersandOfficialsmaypenetrateintheWeighingArea.NointerventionwhatsoeverisallowedinthatareaunlessithasbeenauthorizedbytheseOfficials.-AkartoraDriverisnotallowedtoleavetheWeighingAreawithouttheauthorizationoftheScrutineer. -AnyinfringementtotheseprovisionsrelatingtotheweighingofkartsmayentailtheexclusionoftheDriverandkartconcerned.-TheOrganizershallplacethescalesattheentrancetothe“Finish”ServicingParkandmustprovideforsufficientpersonneltoensuretheplacingofthekartonthescales.MechanicswillbekeptawayfromthekartsuntiltheWeighingProcedureoftheirkartsisover,unlessauthorizedbyaScrutineer.-IftheweightofaDriverandofhiskartisunderthatspecifiedintheTechnicalRegulations,theresultwillbecommunicatedtotheEntrant,andthekartanditsDriverwillbeexcludedfromthesessionconcerned. -Drinkingwaterfromaclearplasticbottleisallowedinservicingpark,beforeweighing,howeveranydriverpouringwateroverheadandraceoverallwillbepenalizedwith1(one)additionalkilogramontheweightofkartanddriver(i.e.,145+1=146kg)-Atoleranceof0,5kgwillbeacceptableduringallweighingprocedures(i.e.for145kg,anindicationof144,5kgonthescaleisOK).

13Repairs/MechanicalInterventionsonKarts-AccesstotheServicingParkisallowedonlytopeoplewithofficialpasses.-Nokarts/personsareallowedtoenter“ServicingPark”withanyliquids.(Exceptwaterincleartransparentplasticbottles,fordrinkingpurposes.)

14IncidentsandPenalties

14.1Incidents-AnincidentmeansafactoraseriesoffactsinvolvingoneorseveralDriversoranyDriver’sactionreportedtotheStewardsbytheRaceDirectorornotedbytheMarshalsandreportedtotheRaceDirector.-Inmostcases,itwillbetheresponsibilityoftheStewardstodecide,furthertoareportorarequestoftheRaceDirectorifoneorseveralDriver(s)is/areinvolvedinanIncident.However,forsomeincidents(forexamplelackofweight)theRaceDirectorcandecidetoapplyanimmediatepenalty.-TheChiefStewardmayuseanymeansavailable(includingvideosandphotos)tohelpmakeadecisionregardingincidents.-TheChiefStewards’decisionsmaysupersedethosetakenbytheRaceDirectororMarshals.-IfaDriverisinvolvedinacollisionoranIncidentandifhewasinformedofthisbytheStewardswithinthirtyminutesaftertheendoftherace,hemustnotleavethecircuitwithouttheiragreement. -Penaltiesforincidentsaredeterminedbythegravityoftheincidentandtheeffectsonthefairnessofcompetitionandtheorderlyconductoftheevent.-OnlytheChiefStewardcanoverruleadecisionmadebytheOfficials.-Thepowertoreinstateasuspendedorrevokeddriver’sprivilegerestssolelywiththeChiefStewardandwillbebasedontheseverityoftherulesinfractionand/ortheseriousnessoftheactoromission.

15CIKfrontfairing

15.1Generalinformation-InaccordancewithCIKSportingRegulations,theuseofCIKFrontFairingandFrontFairingmountingkitofthebodyworkhomologationperiod2015–2020ismandatoryforallRMCLebanonClasses.-AsfromtheQualifyingsession,untiltheFinalRace,eachdrivermustentertheServicingPark/AssemblyAreawiththefrontfairingdetachedfromtheirkart.-TheMechanicortheDriverhimselfmustmountthefrontfairingbeforethesessionstartinthePre-Grid/AssemblyAreaunderthesupervisionofaScrutineer.-DuringQualifying,Pre-FinalandFinalitisonlyallowedtoinstallthefrontfairingtothecorrectpositionintheRepairArea.-Correctinstallationofthe“FrontFairing”:Thefrontfairing(usingthefrontfairingmountingkit)mustbeinthecorrectpositionatalltimesduringacompetition(asperTechnicalDrawingNo.2dinCIKSportingregulationsspecificprescriptions).-Asfromthemomentthe“LastLap”panelispresentedtotheDriverstheRepairAreawillbeclosed.

15.2CIKfrontfairingrelatedpenalties-Theblackflagwithanorangediscwillnotbeshowntoadriverifhisfrontfairingisnolongerinthecorrectposition.-Ifthejudgeoffactreportsthatthefrontfairingononeormorekartswasnolongerinthecorrectpositionwhenthe“blackandwhitechequeredflagwaswavedandthekart(s)concernedcrossedthefinishline,inallsituationsatimepenaltyof10secondswillbeimposedautomaticallyonthedriver(s)concerned.Thistimepenaltyisnotsusceptibletoappeal.-ShouldaDriverbefoundtohaveintentionallyreplaced/reinstalledafrontfairingwhichwasnotinthecorrectposition,atanytimeontrackorafterthe“blackandwhitechequeredflag”waswaved,theconcernedDriverwillbeexcludedfromthecompetition.

16ProtestsandAppeals-ParticipantswhoarebeingpenalizedwillbenotifiedatthescalesorviathepublicaddresssystemtoreporttotheStewardsOfficeandshouldreporttotheStewardsOfficeimmediately.-Participantsundertheageof18mustreportwiththeirparentorlegalguardian.-ParticipantswhodonotsignthepenaltynotificationformatthescalesorwhodonotreporttotheStewardsOfficewithin10minutesofbeingnotifiedwillbedeniedtheabilitytoprotestthepenalty.-TheATCLSteward(s)willprovidedetailsofthepenaltytotheparticipant.-ProtestformswillbeavailableattheStewardsOffice.

-Aprotestmustbepresentedtothechairmanofstewardswithin30minutesafterthepostingofresultsfortheconcernedclass.-EachprotestmustbeaccompaniedbyaUS$500cashbond.Iftheprotestisupheldthebondwillbereturnedtotheparticipant.IftheprotestisnotupheldthebondwillberetainedbyATCL-Allprotestswillbereviewedbythechairmanofstewardsandhisdeputies.-TheStewardsmayuseanymeansavailabletoevaluatethedecision.-Penaltieswillbepostedontheofficialresultsboardandonlineatwww.rotaxmaxlebanon.com-AnyEntrantorDriveruponwhomapenaltyoranyotherdecisionhasbeenimposedundertheseRegulationsbytheStewardsoftheMeetingshallhavearightofappealasstatedbyarticles181andfollowingoftheInternationalSportingCode.Theappealshouldbebywritingandaccompaniedbythenecessaryfee(5000000LL).TheASNmustgiveitsdecisionwithinamaximumof30days.-Allpartiesconcernedshallbegivenadequatenoticeofthehearingofanyappeal.Theyshallbeentitledtocallwitnesses,buttheirfailuretoattendthehearingshallnotinterruptthecourseoftheproceedings.

17Fines-AfinemaybeinflictedonanyDriver,assistant,orOrganizerwhodoesnotrespectthedirectionoftheofficialsoftheEvent.AfinemaybeinflictedbytheChiefStewardortheChiefScrutineer. -Allfinesmustbepaidincashtotheorganisersbeforethenextofficialphaseoftheevent,orthecompetitorwillnotbeallowedtocontinue.

IV-ORGANIZER’SSUPPLEMENTARYPROVISIONS:

1Fuel:Allcompetitorsarerequiredtoraceusingtheofficialfuelandoilassuppliedonracedaybytheemployeesofthetrack,underthesupervisionofatechnicalsteward(oranyofficiallyappointedmarshal).Itisstrictlyforbiddentouseanykindoffueladditive.

2Distributionandlimitationoftires:-AllcompetitorsarerequiredtoraceonMojoracetirespurchasedfromanddistributedbyPitStopKartingSARL.-Notiretreatmentsofanykindareallowed.Thisisaposttechitem.-CompetitorsareallowedonesetofdryMojoracetiresandonesetofwetMojoracetiresforeachevent.-MojoracetiresforallclasseswillberedeemedattheServicingParkasperthetiredistributionschedulelistedontheofficialschedule.-Competitorsareallowedtousethesamesetoftiresformorethanoneevent,providedthatthetiresarestore&securedbyPitStopKartingbetweentheevents.-Nomodificationoralteration,includingtreating,heating,orcutting/truing/re-profilingofanytiresisallowed.Noncompliancemayresultinexclusionfromtheeventandlossofallpointsacquiredduringprevious2018RotaxMaxChallengeLebanonevents.

3TRANSPONDER:

3.1TransponderHire:TransponderhirewillbechargedatUS$25perracingdayandtransponderswillbedistributedatsigningon.Thedriver/entrantisliableforthefullcostofthetransponder(US$250)intheeventofanylossordamagesustainedduringthehireperiod,howsoevercaused.

3.2TransponderFitting:Itisthedriver’sresponsibilitytoensurethatthetransponderisfittedsecurelyandinthecorrectpositionatalltimeswhenracing.Failuretodosomayresultineitherlossofthetransponderorintermittentfunctionormalfunction,whichinturn,willleadtonon-classification.

V-TECHNICALREGULATIONS

1GENERAL:TheRotaxMojoMaxChallenge2018seriestechnicalregulations(www.maxchallenge-rotax.com/regulations/technical.html)applytotheLebaneseRotaxKartingChampionship2018(LebanonRMC).SpecificamendmentsfortheLebanonRMCaredetailedinthepresentregulations.

AdditionalamendmentsmaybemadeatanytimebyPitStopKartingSARLandATCLbywayofCompetitorBulletinsorEventSupplementaryRegulationswhichwillbepostedontheOfficialNoticeBoardateachevent.CIKRegulationsapplytoallsafetyissuesexceptwhereotherwisestated.KartsareonlyallowedtoraceiftheyareinaconditionwhichmeetsCIKsafetystandardsandiftheycomplywiththeregulations.Theymustbemaintainedinsuchawayastonotrepresentadangertothedriverorotherparticipants/spectators. Remember“ANYTHINGWHICHISNOTEXPRESSLYALLOWEDISFORBIDDEN.”

2KARTS:

2.1Chassis:AnychassiswithavalidCIKhomologationandapprovedbyATCLandPitStopKartingSARLwillbesanctionedtorace. a)Chassistubing:roundtubingonly. b)Maximumdiameterofrearaxle=50mm,minimumwallthickness accordingtoCIK-FIArules.Driverswillbeallowedonlyonechassispermeeting. Intheexceptionalcaseofthechassissustainingirreparabledamageduringthecourseofthemeeting(i.e.intheopinionoftheTechnicalScrutineeritisneithersafenorpracticaltorepair),atthediscretionoftheClerkoftheCourse(inconsultationwiththeStewards),areplacementchassismaybeused.Thischassismustfirstbeinspectedandapprovedforusebythescrutineers. SpecificrequirementsareapplicableforthedifferentclassesandaredetailedinAppendixB&AppendixCofthepresentregulations.

2.2BumpersandBodywork:OnlyCIKhomologatedbumpersandbodyworkarelegaltouse.

2.3WetRace:Incaseofa“WETRACE”thefollowingsentenceoftheCIKTechnicalRegulations2.7.1.4isNOTvalid. “Inthecaseofawetrace,sidebodyworkmaynotbelocatedoutsidetheplanepassingthroughtheouteredgeoftherearwheels”.

2.4Rims:WheelrimsmustbefittedwithaminimumofthreebeadretainingscrewsinlinewithCIK/FIArules,TechnicalRegulations,Art.2.22.

2.5Engines:-OnlyenginesoriginallyimportedtoLebanonorJordanfromRotaxbyPitStopKartingSARLorAzimutAutomotiveSALandhavingbeensealedbyPitStopKartingSARLwillbedeemedlegal.-TheonlyexceptiontotheaboveruleisthecaseofenginesoriginallyprovidedtotheRotaxMaxGrandFinals2015,2016&2017officialpartnersandbought

directlybyacustomer.Inthatcase,theenginesealandIDwillbecheckedbyPitStopKarting,andiftheyareconsideredcompliant(engine&carbsealfromofficialRotaxpartner,originalengineID)afixedfeeofUS$400willbechargedandthesealswillbereplacedbyPitStopKartingseals.Onceanenginehasbeenapprovedasperthisrule,itwillbedeemedlegalasifitwasoriginallyimportedtoLebanonorJordanfromRotaxbyPitStopKartingSARLorAzimutAutomotiveSAL.-TechnicalinformationspecifictotheJunior,Max,DD2andDD2masterclassesisdetailedinAppendixCofthepresentregulations.-TechnicalinformationspecifictotheMicroandMiniclassesisdetailedinAppendixBofthepresentregulations.-TheinspectionandsealingoftheenginesareintendedtomakesurethatallenginescomplywiththeTechnicalRegulationsasdefinedbyBRP-POWERTRAIN-ROTAX.-PitStopKartingSARLisappointedbytheauthoriseddistributorforRotaxKartProductsinLebanon&Jordan.Assuch,PitStopKartingSARListheauthorisedservicecentreforLebanonandJordanandistheonlysealingauthority.-OnlygenuineRotaxcomponentsthatarespecificallydesignedandsuppliedfortheFR125MAXandrangeofenginesarelegal.TheseRotaxpartsmustbeobtainedfromPitStopKartingSARL.-AnyenginewithoutavalidPitStopKartingSARLsealandaccompanying“RotaxEngineIdentitycard”issuedbyPitStopKartingSARLwillnotbepermitted.-Lossofthe“RotaxEngineIdentitycard”willnecessitateareplacementandanaccompanyingfineofUS$25.-ONLYONEengineperdriverpermeetingwillbeallowed.-Inexceptionalcases,(e.g.engine(s)submittedatScrutineeringexperiencetechnicalfailure)driversmayhavetheoptionofusingaspareengineforthispurpose,butthisisatthediscretionoftheRaceDirectorinconsultationwiththeStewardsandtheeventorganisers.-Enginesealsmayonlyberemoved/replacedbyPitStopKartingSARL.-Engineswithabrokenorinvalidsealmaynotbeused.-PitStopKartingSARLwillmaintainalistofallapprovedandsealedengineswhicharedeemedlegalandshallnotbedismantledandinspectedunlessaprotest(accompaniedbyaUS$1000cashbond)hasbeenpresentedbyacompetitorclaimingthataparticularengineissuspect.Inthatcase,thesuspectedengineshallbedismantledandinspectedbytheapprovedPitStopKartingSARLtechnicianundersupervisionofATCLtechnicalstewardsandthefindingswillbecommunicatedtoallpartiesconcerned.Incasetheengineisdeclaredlegal,allfeesrelatedtotheinspectionwillbedeductedfromtheUS$1000cashbond.Incasetheengineisdeclaredillegal,theoffendingdriver/competitorwillberesponsibleforthepaymentofthefeesandtheoffendingdriverwillbedisqualifiedfromtheevent.-ANENGINEWHICHHASBEENTAMPEREDWITHANDWHICHHASBEENDECLAREDILLEGALBYPITSTOPKARTINGSARL&/orATCLWILLBEEXCLUDEDFROMCOMPETITIONANDWILLNOTBERE-SEALEDUNDERANYCIRCUMSTANCES.

2.9ChainGuard:Inallcategories(exceptDD2classes),achainguardiscompulsoryandmustbeaneffectiveprotectionoverthetopandbothsidesoftheexposedchainandsprocket,andextendtoatleastthelowerplaneoftherearaxle.

3SAFETYEQUIPMENTAllsafetywear(helmet,gloves,boots,racesuits)mustbeapprovedundertheCIKKartingTechnicalRegulations,Article3.

3.1CrashHelmet:Thedrivermustwearafullfacehelmetwithefficientandunbreakableprotectionfortheeyes.Helmetsmustcomplywithoneofthebelowstandardsfordriversunder15yrs:Snell-FIACMS2007,Snell-FIACMR2007Helmetsmustcomplywithoneofthebelowstandardsfordrivers15yrs+: SnellFoundationK98,SA2000,K2005,SA2005,K2010,SA2010andSAH2010,BritishStandardsInstitutionBS6658-85typeAandtypeA/FR,SFI31.1A,SFI31.2A,FIA8860-2004,FIA8860-2010

3.2RaceSuit:Fabricoverallsmusthavea“Level2”homologationgrantedbytheCIK-FIA,bearinginavisiblewaytheCIK-FIAhomologationnumber.Theymustcoverthewholebody,legsandarms.Overallsremainvalid5yearsaftertheirdateofmanufacturingandthehomologation(periodduringwhichtheycanbeproduced)isvalidfor5years.

3.3Gloves:Glovesmustbeingoodconditionandmustcompletelycoverthehandsandfingers.

3.4RacingShoes:Racingshoesmustbeingoodconditionandmustcoverandprotecttheankles.

VI-REGULATORYAMENDMENTSPitStopKartingSARL&ATCLreservetherighttoissueadditionalstatementsconcerningtheRulesandRegulationsfromtimetotime.AllsuchstatementswillbeissuedtoallregisteredcompetitorsbywayofCompetitors’BulletinsatRaceMeetings.

VII-ADVERTISINGONKARTS,OVERALLSANDHELMETSCompetitorsmaybeobligedtocarryofficialATCL,RMCLebanonstickersandsponsorlogosontheirkarts,racesuitsandhelmet.AnysuchadvertisingmaterialwillbeprovidedbytheOrganisersalongwithinstructiononpositioningasnecessary.Competitorsareresponsibleforthepresentationandpreservationofsponsorstickers/logos.Competitorsmayberequiredtoremovedecals/stickersandotheradvertisingwhichmayconflictwiththeseriessponsors.Competitorsmayberequiredtotakepartinfurtherpromotionalactivitiesattheroundsortheprizegiving.Prizewinnersmaybeobligedtowearasponsorcap,ifsuppliedbyRaceOrganiser,duringtheawardpresentation.

VIII-GENERALSAFETYA)ItisstrictlyforbiddenforDriverstodrivetheirkartsinadirectionoppositethatoftherace,unlessthisisstrictlynecessarytoremovethekartfromadangeroussituation.B)DuringWarm-Up,QualifyingPracticeandtheracesdriversmayusethetrackonlyandmustatalltimesobservetheseregulationsrelatingtodrivingoncircuits. C)DuringWarm-Up,QualifyingPracticeandtheraces,akartthatstopsmustberemovedfromthetrackasrapidlyaspossibleinorderforitspresencenottoconstituteadangerorimpedeanotherDriver.IftheDriverisunabletoremovethekartfromadangerouspositionbydrivingit,andifasafeconditionexists,themarshalmaychoosetoassist;however,ifthekartrestartsasaresultofsuchhelp,itwillbeexcludedfromtheclassificationoftheQualifyingPracticeortheraceinwhichthishelpwasprovided.D)Exceptformedicalorsafetyreasons,theDrivermuststayclosetohiskartuntiltheendofthesessionduringWarm-Up,QualifyingPracticeortheraces.E)ExceptincasesexpresslyprovidedforbytheRegulationsnooneexcepttheDriverisauthorisedtotouchastoppedkartunlessitisintheServicingPark. F)DuringQualifyingPracticeandtheracesthekartmayberestartedonlybytheDriverhimself,exceptifherestartsfromtheServicingPark.TheDrivermaynotreceiveanyoutsidehelponthetrackduringtherunningofanEvent,exceptintheServicingPark,whichhemayreachonlybyhisownmeans.G)IfaDriverisinvolvedinacollision,hemustnotleavethecircuitwithouttheStewards’agreement. H)NoDrivermayleavetheServicingParkwithouthavingbeenauthorisedtodosobytheMarshals. I)OfficialinstructionswillbetransmittedtotheDriversbymeansofthesignalsprovidedforintheBriefing.Mechanicsmustnotuseflagssimilartotheseonesinanywaywhatsoever. J)AnyDriverwhointendstoleavethetrack,toreturntotheServicingParkshalldemonstratehisintentioninduetimebyraisinghishandandshallensurethathemaydososafely. K)DuringtheEventandattheorderoftheRaceDirectoraDriverwhobreachestheTechnicalRegulations,exceptduringthefinallap,muststopintheServicingParkandremedythebreachbeforere-joiningthetrack.

L)AllcompetitorsmaybequeriedbytheChiefStewardortheRaceDirectoratanytimeabouttheirknowledgeofflagsandprocedures.Failuretoprovidethecorrectresponsemayresultinexclusionfromtheevent. M)Anydriverwho,intheopinionoftheofficials,cutsthetrackwiththeintenttogainanadvantagemaybedisqualifiedfromtherace-day.

IX-CODEOFDRIVINGONKARTCIRCUITS

1ObservanceofsignalsEachcompetitorshalladheretothefollowingflagsignals.AnydriverthatcommitsaflagprocedureinfractionissubjecttopenaltiesatthediscretionoftheRaceDirector.

2FlagsusedStandingYellowFlag-Continueatracingspeed.Minimaldangeraheadrequiringdriver’sattention.Nopassinguntilclearoftheincident.WavingYellowFlag-Itindicatesthatthereisaproblemonthecourseahead.Thedriveristoproceedwithcautionandraiseahandtosignalfollowingdrivers.Anydriverfailingtoreducespeedafterpassingawavingyellowflagmaybeassessedtimeorpositionpenalties.Adriverisnottopassanotherdriverfromthepointthatthewaivingyellowflagisbeingdisplayeduntilclearedoftheincident.Passingonawavingyellowflagmayresultinpositionpenalties.GreenFlag-Thegreenflagisusedtoindicatetheendofa“caution/nopassing”zone,whichhasbeensignalledbyayellowflag.Agreenflagmayalsobedisplayedatthestartofwarm-up,qualifyingandracestoindicatethatthekartsmayleavethepre-gridandtakethetrack(sometimesreplacedbytheNationalflag).BlueFlag-Ablueflagindicatesthatthedriverisbeingapproachedbyfasterkart(s)abouttooverlaphim.Thedriverbeingoverlappedistomakeroomforthefasterkart(s)andpointtothesafestsideforthepass.Thedriverisnottoracetheoverlappingkart(s). RedFlag-AredflagindicatesthenecessitytostopaRacebecausethecircuitisblockedbyanaccidentorbecauseweatherorotherconditionsmakeitdangeroustocontinue.TheRaceDirectorshallorderaredflagtobeshownattheStartLine. Simultaneously,redflagswillbeshownatallMarshals’Posts.IfthesignaltostopracingisgivenallkartswillimmediatelyreducetheirspeedandcometoastoponthetrackattheplacedesignatedduringtheBriefing.RolledBlackFlag-ARolledBlackFlagmaybedisplayedasawarningofadrivinginfraction.IfthedriverdoesnotheedtherolledBlackFlagwarning,theUnrolledBlackFlagmaybedisplayed.UnrolledBlackFlag–AnUnrolledBlackFlagindicatesthatthedriverhascommittedaninfraction.Asignboardwithoffendingkartnumberwillalsobe

displayed.ThedriveristoimmediatelyreporttothePitLane.FailuretorespondtotheBlackFlagwillresultinlappenaltiesordisqualification.BlackFlagwithOrangeDisc(Mechanicalblackflag).–IfablackflagwithanorangediscisdisplayedthedriverhasamechanicalsituationrequiringthedrivertoreporttotheServicingPark.Asignboardwithoffendingkartnumberwillbedisplayedatfinishflagarea.ThedriveristoimmediatelyreporttotheServicingPark.FailuretorespondtotheMechanicalBlackFlagmayresultinlappenaltiesordisqualification.WhiteFlag:Awhiteflagisdisplayedtoindicatethattheracehasonemorelap. ChequeredFlag:Achequeredflagisdisplayedatthefinishofcompetitionorpractice.Adriveristoracetothechequeredflagirrespectiveofthelapnumber. ChequeredFlagwithaBlackFlag:Achequeredflagdisplayedatthefinishofcompetitionwithablackflagindicatesthattheresultsofthatsessionareunderofficials’protest,andafinalresultispendingaChiefStewardsdecision.

3OvertakingA)Duringarace,akartaloneonthetrackmayusethefullwidthofthesaidtrack.However,assoonasitiscaughtupbyakartwhichiseithertemporarilyorconstantlyfaster,thedriverisnotallowedtoswingfromonesidetotheotherormakeamovesidewaysinordertopreventalegalovertakingmanoeuvrewhentheothercompetitorisalreadybyhisside.Heshallgivetheotherkarttherightofwayinordertoallowforpassing.B)IftheDriverwhohasbeencaughtdoesnotseemtonoticethatanotherDriverwantstoovertakehim,theflagMarshal(s)willgiveawarningbywavingtheblueflagtoindicatethatanotherCompetitorwantstoovertake.AnydriverwhodoesnottakenoticeoftheblueflagmaybepenalizedbytheStewards.Systematicorrepeatedoffencesmayresultintheexclusionoftheoffenderfromtherace.C)Curves,aswellastheapproachandexitzonesthereof,maybenegotiatedbythedriversinanywaytheywish,withinthelimitsofthetrack.Overtaking,accordingtothecircumstances,maybedoneeitherontherightorontheleft.However,manoeuvresliabletohinderotherdriverssuchasprematureordangerouschangesofdirection,morethanonechangeofdirection,deliberatecrowdingofkartstowardstheinsideortheoutsideofthecurvearestrictlyprohibitedandshallbepenalized,accordingtotheimportanceandrepetitionoftheoffences,bypenaltiesrangingfromafinetotheexclusionfromtherace.Therepetitionofdangerousdriving,eveninvoluntary,mayresultintheexclusionfromtherace.D)Anyobstructivemanoeuvrecarriedoutbyoneorseveraldrivers,eitherhavingcommoninterestsornot,isprohibited.Thepersistentdrivingabreastofseveralkarts,aswellasfan-shapedarrangement,isauthorisedonlyifthereisnotanotherkarttryingtoovertake.Otherwisetheblueflagwillbewaved.E)Thepenaltyinflictedforignoringtheblueflagwillalsobeappliedtothedriverswhoobstructpartofthetrackandshallbemoresevereinthecaseofsystematicobstruction,thusrangingfromafinetotheexclusionfromtherace.

Thesamepenaltyshallbeappliedtodriverswhoswingfromonesideofthetracktotheotherinordertopreventothercompetitorsfromovertaking.F)Therepetitionofseriousmistakesortheappearanceofalackofcontroloverthekart(suchasleavingthetrack)mayentailtheexclusionoftheDriversconcerned. G)TheracetrackaloneshallbeusedbytheDriversduringtherace. H)Contacts/collisions(duringtherace,decelerationlapincluded):sanctionsmaybeimposedonaDriverwhoabusesanotherDriver.

4Stoppingofakartduringtherace-TheDriverofanykartleavingtheraceshallsignalthisintentioningoodtimebyraisinghishandandisresponsibleforensuringthatthemanoeuvreiscarriedoutsafelyandasnearaspossibletothepointofexit.Failuretoraiseahandcouldresultintimepenalties.-DuringWarm-Up,QualifyingPracticeandtheracesakartthatstopsmustberemovedfromthetrackasrapidlyaspossibleinorderforitspresencenottoconstituteadangerorimpedeanotherDriver.IftheDriverisunabletoremovethekartfromadangerouspositionbydrivingit,andifasafeconditionexists,themarshalmaychoosetoassist;however,ifthekartrestartsasaresultofsuchhelp,itwillbeexcludedfromtheclassificationoftheQualifyingPracticeortheraceinwhichthishelpwasprovided.Exceptformedicalorsafetyreasons,theDrivermuststayclosetohiskartuntiltheendoftheWarm-Up,QualifyingPractice,ortherace.-ApartfromtheDriver-and,inexceptionalcases(i.e.youngdrivers),thecompetentofficials-nobodyisallowedtotouchastoppedkartunderpenaltyofitsexclusionfromtherace.-Pushingakartalongthetrackorpushingitacrossthefinishinglineisnotallowed,andwillentailimmediateexclusion. -AnykartabandonedonthecircuitbyitsDriver,eventemporarily,shallbeconsideredaswithdrawnfromtherace.AkartlefttemporarilybyitsDriverwhilstaraceissuspendedwillnotbeconsideredabandoned.

5Entrancetothepits(orServicingPark)-Theso-called«decelerationzone»isapartofthepitsarea. -AnydriverintendingtoleavethetrackortoenterthepitsortheServicingParkshallsignalhisintentioningoodtimebyraisinghishandandmakesurethatitissafetodoso.Anydriverfailingtoraisehishandwhenleavingthetrackmaybeassessedtimeorpositionpenalties.

6Dangerousdriving-Therepetitionofseriousmistakesortheappearanceofalackofcontroloverthekart(suchasleavingthetrack)mayentailtheexclusionofthedriversconcerned. -Contacts/collisions(duringtherace,decelerationlapincluded):sanctionsmaybeimposedonadriverwhoabusesanotherdriver.

7Off-Trackdriving/CuttingtheTrack-TheracetrackaloneshallbeusedbytheDriversduringtherace. -Ifakartleavestheracingsurface(allfourwheelsoffthewhitetracklimitline)foranyreasonitisthedriver’sresponsibilitytosafelyre-enterthetrack.Failuretomakeasubstantialefforttodosomayresultinaminimumof1positionpenalty.-Anydriverwho,intheopinionoftheofficials,cutsthetrackwiththeintenttogainanadvantagemaybedisqualifiedfromtherace-day,andwillnotbeallowedtodropsaiddisqualificationfromtheirChampionshipPointstotals.

X-CODEOFCONDUCTFORDRIVERS-ParticipatinginaRotaxMaxChallengeeventorseriesisaprivilege,notaright.AllRMCparticipants,whenparticipatinginanyRMCactivity,agreetoconductthemselvesinaccordancewiththespiritofthiscodeofconduct.-Participantsareatalltimesresponsiblefortheconductoftheirmechanics,parents/guardians,teammembersandguests.AviolationoftheseRegulationscommittedbyanentrant,driver,mechanic,parent/guardian,teammemberorguestmaybedirectlychargeabletotheentrantordriverandresultinpenaltiesthatmayultimatelyaffecttheoutcomeofacompetition.-Allparticipantsmustplaywithintherulesandrespectraceofficialsandtheirdecisions. -Allparticipantsmustrespecttherights,dignityandvalueoftheirfellowparticipantsregardlessofgender,ability,physicalappearance,culturalbackgroundorreligion.-Allparticipantsmustencourageandtakeresponsibilityfortheiractionsatalltimes.-Allparticipantsmustensuretheirequipmentissafeandraceworthy,priortotakingpartintraining,testingorraceevents.Onlyapprovedracewear(eg:helmet,gloves,racebootsandsuit)tobeusedbythedriver,accordingtotheregulations.-Itistheparticipant’sownresponsibilitytoidentifyandmeasurehis/herownskilllevelagainsthis/hercompetitors,andtakeresponsibilityfortherisksassociatedwithtraining,testingandorracing.Itshouldbenotedthatabasiclevelofcompetenceisrequired.-Itistheparticipant'sresponsibilitytodeclare,priortoanyparticipationintraining,testingorracing,ofanymedicalconditionormedicationrequiredthatmayberelevantintheeventofanemergency.-Allparticipantsarerequiredtodisplaycourtesyandetiquettetoothermembersandparticipantsintraining,testingandraceevents.Anydisputesorproblemsthatmayariseduringaneventmustbeaddressedinarespectfulmanner,tothecorrectperson(official)attheevent.-Thesafetyofchildrenwithinthesportisapriority.Knowledgeofthecodeofethicssurroundingcareofchildreninsportswillbepromotedandencouraged.Itistheparticipant'sownresponsibilitytoensurethesafetyofchildrenattraining,testingorracingevents.-Whentakingpartinanyevent,itistheresponsibilityofthedrivertotakethetimetoreadandfullyunderstandthepostedrules,regulationsandconditions

forsaideventpriortostarttime,thuseliminatingunnecessarydelaysatthebeginningoftheevent.Requestsforclarificationoftheserules,regulationsorconditions,shouldbeaskedinthedriversmeetingheldbeforeeachevent.-Allparticipantsmusthaverespectfortheenvironmentandthesurroundinginhabitants.Responsibilitymustbetakentoreduceexcessivenoiseandkeepallareasthatareusedascleanandpollutionfreeaspossible.-Allparticipantsmustrespectthatdrugsandalcoholarestrictlyprohibitedattraining,testingandraces.Itisanoffenceandwillnotbetolerated.Offenderswillbeexcludedfromtheeventandfacefurtherdisciplinaryaction.-Theauthorsofanyabusivecommentsonsocialmedia(Facebook,Twitteretc)regardingteams,competitors,officials,organizers,oranypersonassociatedwithROTAX,willbeheldresponsibleandliablefortheiractions.-Failuretocomplywithanyoftheaboveprovisionsmayleadtodisciplinaryactionincluding,butnotlimitedto,oneorallthefollowing:

• TemporaryorpermanentLostofprivilegetoraceinaRotaxMaxChallengeactivity

• ExclusionfromanRMCcompetition• Removalfromtheracepremisesforthedurationofanevent• Anyotherrestrictionappropriateunderthecircumstances
